Romance is a drug. We want it, crave it and live for it. We love the whole endearing journey of the chase and the wooing. As much as I have romance in my daily life, Bella Andre’s love stories are beyond addictive. I’m sure her Sullivan Series is no stranger to a lot of her readers out there and it would remain as on of  my top favorites forever.

As if the Sullivans were not enough to give us sleepless nights, Bella goes under the cloak of Lucy Kevin to give us more endearing romances. Romancing her books has become one of my favorite addictions, and I’m beyond any rehabilitation!

Come on to Walker Island and get introduced to the Walker family of five sisters, close-knit and about to find the love of a lifetime. The first book in the Walker series, “Be My Love”, gets us up close and personal with Hanna Walker and Joel Peterson, along with a history of the infamous feud between the Walkers and the Petersons. Joel and Hanna come together to find the mystery behind the feud and put a closer to it, as the chemistry between them sizzles to culminate into love. Sometimes, things are just meant to be, and Hanna and Joel are meant to be for each other.

I totally fell in love with the second book in the series, “No Other Love”. This is one of the best romantic stories I’ve read and would be with me forever. Morgan Walker comes to Walker Island to develop her own line of organic makeup and cultivate on the Walker plot. Inevitably she meets her one and only love, Brian Russell, football coach and science teacher, and the one that she could never forget.

A simple love story, but not short on intense chemistry and emotions, Brian and Morgan were just amazing characters. Utterly sweet, patient and just pure good human beings, these two give us a lesson in sublime romance and love as they continue to work together. Lucy’s done a brilliant job of etching Brian and Morgan, and reading them was a pure delight. I think Brian was just one delectable alpha male with his quite strength and immense faith in the power of love.

A mesmerizing read indeed and Lucy is one fine writer par excellence! The third book in the series, “When It’s Love”, gives Rachel Walker her happily ever after. I for one can’t wait for Michael to make an honest woman out of Emily. I can see fireworks all the way.

I read romances everyday. Some romances give me the fuzzies, some may just be okay and yet some take me on a sensual journey of love with its simplicity and purity. Now the third kind is what gets me in the heart leaving me speechless with a myriad of emotions that are hard to describe and I can be seen sporting a goofy smile ☺

Samantha Chase’s latest “Exclusive” is just that, exclusive! Simple in narration, this is the story of Mike Greene aka Jonathan Wade, the reclusive writer and his everlasting love for Taylor Scott. Coming from a background worth forgetting, his rise to being the mysterious and successful writer was not easy. His motivation was Taylor, his life was Taylor and his writing was for Taylor. Now how can I not adore Mike Greene? He is one of the best creations of Samantha Chase.

Taylor Scott is a journalist aspiring to be a writer and she gets the privilege of interviewing the mysterious Jonathan Wade. She ends up meeting her long lost friend Mike Greene, whom she’s never forgotten and missed his presence. Taylor is one delightful lady, kind and caring, and not a single bad bone in her body, except simple insecurities of life that we people have in our everyday life. Despite her issues with Mike Greene/Jonathan Wade, I applaud her decision when needed, and her attitude once she makes up her mind.

Exclusive is by far Samantha’s best romance in my opinion. The story fell in place so perfectly for me with its delightful ride. Down to earth, rekindling a young friendship lost, getting to know each other in their adult life, realizing their need for each other and accepting the fact that they are meant to be with each other, Mike and Taylor are a wholesome couple and their love story truly is a fairy tale.

Exclusive is pleasing, charming, engaging and rich in the flavor of romance!

Whatever happened at Comic-Con sure did not stay at Comic-Con……

The Heart’s Game is book 4 in the Kelly Brothers series by Crista McHugh and I loved it!!!! Crista keeps getting better and better as she progresses through the Kelly Brothers. There was so much more depth to her stories now and the characters are better defined. I love reading books with big families and their many ups and downs, yet they all come together when the need rises.

I totally loved Jenny Nguyen and her spunk. Coming from a typical conservative India family, I can totally relate to Jenny with her family and their reservations, customs and traditions. Families want the best of the western world, yet can’t let go of certain customs and let their children move forward. Despite these boundaries, I am so proud of Jenny when she decides to become a surrogate mother of her brother.

Daniel Kelly is a sweetheart who loves his family including the many celebrities he’s related by blood. A well-known surgeon and kind at heart, he loves Jenny to the core and persistently woes her until she breaks down. And his whole family embraces Jenny with unconditional love and support. Dan is one heck of a guy with some much love, kindness and so very gentle with Jenny.

The doctor and the robotics engineer sure create some sizzling chemistry from the moment they meet at Comic-Con. They can’t stay out of each other’s life, even as they try to get past their insecurities, especially with Jenny’s family, and find themselves strong enough to weather the issues, they were thrown into. Lot of humorous banter among the family members, support and love from friends and siblings, and throw in the geeky relationship of Dan and Jenny, The Heart’s Game is a winner all the way.

Though the books can be read as standalone, I personally enjoyed reading them in sequence – The Sweetest Seduction, Breakaway Hearts and Falling For The Wingman (Books 1-3).

Allison Brennan and Laura Griffin are two writers to reckon. Their books of suspense and thrill are as adrenaline flowing as going on a roller coaster ride. I fell in love with Laura’s books with my first read of her “Glass Sister series” (Thread Of Fear and Whisper Of Fear), what fantabulous books those were, and I visited that series innumerable times. And if I don’t mention her “Tracers Series”, I’m not doing justice to Griffin’s exhilarating creations. With her “Predator Thriller Series” (The Prey, The Hunt and The Kill), Allison Brennan mesmerized me with her writing and narration. Even as I am catching up with Lucy Kincaid and her adventures, Brennan is already into her next series, “Max Revere Novels Series”.

Alone, both Laura and Griffin stand mighty strong and if these two forces join their brains to come up with a new storyline, that is some kickass reading for us readers. Brennan and Griffin’s new series, “The Moreno and Hart Series”, is not to be missed and they made me mad, angry, sad, happy and sometimes utterly helpless!

CrashBurn-BrennanGriffin-July2014

“The Moreno and Hart Series” brings together Scarlett Moreno and Krista Hart, ex-cops as partners owning their own private investigation agency. Each book is a narration of two separate stories written by Laura and Allison, but they intertwine with each other during the course of their investigation to become a single gripping book you don’t want to put down. Scarlet and Krista are two amazing fearless women, wanting to do the right thing, stand by the right thing and help the innocent, with integrity and passion.

Crash and Burn is the first in the series and it totally rocked. It took me back to some old fashioned simple reading, with contemporary investigative techniques. It took me back to those days of soft reading of Agatha Christy and Nancy Drew but with all the spicy ingredients of suspense, mystery, danger and death with nefarious evil existing in the current world. With subtle romance adding that extra zing to the series, Moreno and Hart have so much to discover about themselves as well as put a closure to a past that refuses to go away.

Sinful, engaging, exciting and sweet, is The Moreno And Hart Series.
