I haven’t read Alexandra Ivy’s The Eternal Guardians Series, but am very familiar with her Sentinels Series and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. Having said that, it did take me more than normal time to get acclimated to the characters and “When Darkness Ends” turned out to be an enjoyable read.

Cyn as the head of the Vampire clan in Ireland goes head to head with the Chatri princess Fallon when they are recruited by the Oracle to help find the strange behavior of the members of the commission. Vampire clashes with a fairy princess, beauty and brains collide with power and arrogance, lust and passion turn their world upside down as they try to fight the scorching flames of love.

There is so much going on in the story and it keeps you entertained to the very end. Cyn and Fallon are perfect for each other, supporting each other and watch each other’s backs as the worlds goes to war around them.

Fun, entertaining, charming and loaded with an amazing array of paranormal, “When Darkness Ends” will keep you engaged until the last page.

The saga of the Sentinels and their eternal protection continues in Alexandra Ivy’s second in the series, “Blood Assassin”. Fane had made an impressive impact as the guardian of Callie in “Born In Blood” and after handing off her and the special bond they shared to Duncan, Fane is ready to head back to Tibet for some down time. But then fate throws a wrench in his plans, when the love of his life disappears.

Not just a powerful psychic, Serra is a rare telepath who can connect to minds with objects and helping to find missing children is her specialty and weakness. A weakness exploited by a high-blood and Serra ends up in St. Louis via a spell to help Bas, a powerful assassin find his kidnapped daughter.

Fane is on the prowl as Serra’s guardian, and would lay his life for Serra. And Serra is racing against time to find the little girl so her life can be safe. Amidst danger and betrayal, revenge and retribution, sizzling chemistry and passionate love, Serra and Fane finally consummate their feelings for each other, for a future with each, if they can ever survive the danger they landed in.

Alexandra Ivy does another brilliant job of etching Serra and Fane, who are fast becoming my favorites. There is so much love and tenderness between them; you just can’t help loving them. Despite the danger they are in, their relationship just oozes charm, charisma and warmth. And the hint of sparks between Wolfe and Mave is something that I am waiting for Alexandra Ivy to bring to fruition. And I hope there is a closure for Bas and his story.

I’ve always loved the way Ivy gives importance to small details, the explanations of situations, the various chapters of history of the Sentinels and Norms, the layers of foundation of Valhalla, and the dynamics of various relationships among them. It is a fascinating exploration of the paranormal, beyond the imaginations of the norm, and a fulfilling experience of reading the story of each of the Sentinels and the woman they are destined to have in life.

I have read a few of Alexandra Ivy, as I am exploring new authors writing paranormal and fantasy. I love her books. They take you into a world of fantasy, evil and paranormal, a world within a world of others.

OutOfControl-Sentinals-AlexandraIvy-Oct2014

“Out Of Control” is the prequel to her new series “Sentinel” and was part of an anthology “Predatory” published in 2013. Now it comes out as a standalone. This series takes us into the world of the FREAKS (high –blood) comprising of psychics, witches, necromancers, who live in Valhalla, a place apart from the humans, heavily guarded and protected. And like any other world, they battle the evil that is among them, keeping the innocents safe.

Angela Locke is a brilliant scientist in genetics and is ignorant to the talent she has within her. Working on her Ph.D., she falls for her sexy professor Dr. Nikolo Bartrev; little does she realize that Niko is not what he seems to be. Niko is a Sentinel with extraordinary powers and is actually on a mission to protect Angela from a predator and take her to Valhalla to keep her safe. With passion and lust getting the way of the mission, Angela and Niko have to survive the danger surrounding them to make a future for themselves.

I am hoping we get to see Angela and Niko in the future stories and get to know them a bit more about their relationship and history. Alexandra Ivy gives us a captivating and riveting start to the series. I am looking forward to reading more of the FREAKS and their trysts with their partners.
