I was introduced to Catherine Bybee’s books by one of my favorite authors, Kendra Elliot and the rest as they say is history, as I was completely bewitched with her Weekday Brides Series”, that I finished the first four books in one go!!!

From her first book in the series, “Wife By Wednesday” to her latest release #5 in the series, “Taken By Tuesday”, she takes us on one heck of a ride, full of wit, humor, passion, danger and love.WeekdayBridesCollage-Aug2014

Judy Gardner and Rick Evans cross paths in Bybee’s fourth book, “Single By Saturday” (Karen/Zach), and sparks fly immediately. Judy moves to LA along with her best friend Meg, after graduation to put her architecture degree to good use and starts off as an intern in a prominent company. Of course Rick Evans shows up as security for Judy, being the sister of celebrity actor Michael Wolf.
TakenByTuesday-Aug2014
From the time Rick spots her the first time, he’s lost his heart to the dark haired beauty. With his handsome looks and dimpled smiles, he is one captivating alpha male, who would go to the end of the world to protect his woman. Ex-marine and tough as nails, his sense of humor is as endearing as his pursuit of his ladylove. One of my favorite book boyfriends!

Judy and Rick make such a charming couple, as they tip toe around their feelings, hustling shooting pool, flirting with their chemistry. It was a treat reading their story as Judy tries to make an identity for herself in the big bad world of LA and Rick wears her out with in his relentless quest for her heart. When Judy is attacked by a faceless menace, all bets are off and Rick becomes her shadow and a suspect and Judy comes up with a surprising proposition.

Catherine Bybee sure knows to hook her readers into her narration, passion one minute and suspense in another. Relations and love in another and danger in another. With beautiful covers and charismatic stories, Catherine’s books are hazardous to a heart!

Acceptance necessarily doesn’t mean resignation or defeat. It just means that we need to understand that sometimes things are just what they are and we need to find a way to walk through them. Awareness of a situation makes it easy for acceptance to find a home in mind and heart. It’s hard, it’s painful and it’s different being the recipient of a legacy that can be both a gift and a curse.

Jennifer Probst’s new series, “Dark Blessings” is a different kind of series. Read with a naked mind and it opens endless possibilities of heroes who may be helping the weak in their own dark blessed ways. People who are gifted, yet are human, just like you and me.

Her first book in the series, “Dante’s Fire” introduces us to Dante Stark, born with a legacy that took the lives of loved ones, yet he has taught himself to control and use his gift with caution. Hiding under the mask of a mail guy, running his wealthy business empire within the shadows of his best friend, he lives the life of simplicity with all its complexity and in spades, with a heart of gold.

Selena Rogers as the woman he loves from afar is just as elegant and classy. With a warm heart and an abundance of desire to help others, she is Dante’s reality and life. Two lonely souls, who spar with each other, everyday about Metallica, opera and financial news, find each other as they battle injuries physically and emotionally.

From the very first page, the story was mesmerizing with its sweet narration of a man, trying to live a simple life, a life he had accepted with all its colors, and content with loving his girl from afar. There are no thrills, no frills or innumerable secondary characters that mar the story, which is just perfect. It’s deep with many layers to unravel Dante and Selena, rich in human emotions, endearing as these two really beautiful people come together, and the elegance of Jennifer’s writing. This was Dante’s dance of fire, as he rolls with the daily life, to overcome his insecurities and doubts, place his secret in the hands of the woman he loves, and manages to win her heart and soul.

Dante’s Fire seduces with its simple and graceful narration of an intense story of patience, endurance, passion and love.

It’s not everyday you wake up and know that today may be the day that can change your entire life. It’s not everyday you go about your routine, and know that you may come face to face with a blast from the past. And it’s not everyday you are a witness to an explosion that rocks your entire world and you would end up bound to danger.

Maria Cervantes is a community activist and despite being rich, she gives her time and energy towards various causes. At the event of a benefit dinner, she comes up close and personal with terrorists plotting to create mayhem in Miami. Before she can do anything about it, the whole mansion erupts in an explosion and she loses her mother in the devastation along with many prominent personalities and celebrities.

In comes Cade O’Reilly, Special Ops, Maria’s line of defense as she battles memory loss and has become a person of interest to NSA. Cade was her dead brother’s former commander years ago in Afghanistan. As the sole witness, Maria’s life along with other prominent people is in danger, as the terrorists are not done with their plan of destruction and want to find out what Maria knows or not knows. And when the betrayal comes from the inside, it is so much more treacherous and menacing.
BoundToDanger-DeadluOps-Aug2014

Cade and Maria were friends before they became lovers. Time and circumstances have separated them but not the love they feel for each other. Now that Maria’s life is in danger, Cade would leave no stone unturned to protect the one woman he’s loved with his heart and soul. As they battle their way through the danger layered by the terrorist, Cade and Maria put closure to the questions of their past life and rekindle the sparks of love that never died.

Bound to Danger is the second book in Katie Reus’s Special Ops series after Targeted and it was fabulous to visit Jack Stone. Paranormal or romantic suspense, Katie Rues does a brilliant job of writing captivating and intriguing stories of love, passion and betrayal.

A life long lover of books, Melinda Leigh writes some real fascinating crime thrillers taking her readers on roller coaster rides of intense passion and hatred. She’s become one of my top favorite writers, to always read.

From her advent of her “She Can Series” to her debut novel, “She Can Run”, being nominated as the Best First Novel by the International Thriller Writers, to her Midnight Series, she’s had a very successful run. I for one am always amazed with her variety of dark and deranged characters of evil to her equally strong women who can more than counter their evil nemesis. And sometimes adding a sprinkle of paranormal sure makes it dicey!

Her latest release “Midnight Betrayal”, slated for September 2 release, is the story of Dr. Louisa Hancock, trying to escape her troubled past and her journey with the one man she almost gave her heart to, Conor Sullivan.
MidnightBetrayal-Reveal-MelindaLeigh-Aug 2014
Curator Dr. Louisa Hancock left behind Maine and her troubled past for Philadelphia and a job at a prominent museum. Just when it seems that Louisa’s new life is safe from her dark secrets, the body of a museum intern is found—the victim of a brutal and baffling murder.

Louisa realizes this is no random crime. And when another intern goes missing, the abduction is linked to the only man who has ever tempted Louisa’s heart—Conor Sullivan, the sexy owner of a Philly sports bar. Louisa’s past has taught her to be wary, but her heart refuses to believe Conor is guilty.

Now Conor and Louisa must dodge a police investigation—and their growing desire—as they race to find the real killer before another girl turns up dead. But trusting Conor could be deadly, especially as the evidence against him mounts…and as a merciless killer targets Louisa as the next victim.

Keep an eye out for a new series, “A Rogue Series”, a four-part series, which she is co-writing with another of my favorite authors, Kendra Elliot, slated for Fall 2014 releases.

Katie Reus writes some real sinful paranormal romances!!! After getting hooked to Cynthia Eden’s paranormal writing, Katie comes a very close second. And Katie’s romantic stories are no less sizzling!!!

“Taste Of Darkness” is the second in her Darkness Series and it sure takes you on a thrilling ride of lost families, loyalty and betrayal. Drake is an ancient powerful dragon shifter saved from the torture of Hell by Vega, and trying to find his place with the Stavros pack.

As Drake tries to remember the past and his identity, he becomes friends with Victoria. Knowing Victoria is his mate, yet he stays away from her to make himself worthy of her. For being a dangerous dragon, he is one of the most kindest and passionate mates anyone can ask for her. It is really sweet how hard he tries to keep his hands off of Victoria and resists her many overtures, until he feels confident that he can find his rightful place beside her. For a lonely dragon like him, Victoria is his woman and only salvation.
TasteOfDarkness-DarkessSeries-July2014

Victoria is a wolf shifter and a healer for the Stavros pack and she gets drawn to Drake from the first time she meets with him. Always thinking of others ahead of her, she is a great friend and confidant and everyone is protective of her. It doesn’t take long for her to fall in love with the fiery and fascinating Drake. I loved Victoria! She’s one power ball of courage and bravery and doesn’t hesitate to put her life in danger for others.

As Victoria navigates Drake to deal with the reality of life on Earth, they not only have to deal with the danger for their lives, but also of the family Drake finally reunites with. The danger is much closer than they can imagine, and betrayal comes from within the walls of family.

Katie Reus takes us on a wild ride of evil, friendship and intense passion. Not a book to be missed!
DarknessAwakened-Darkness1-KatieReus

Though “Taste Of Darkness” can be read as a standalone, grab the first book in the series, “Darkness Awakened” to get to know the leader of the Stavros Pack, Finn and his fiery vampire mate, Lyra. Can’t wait to read the stories of the other characters and their life mates.
