For anyone familiar with Samantha Chase would know that her Montgomery Brothers Series is one of the most popular and romantic series. From matchmaking fathers to uncles, from arrogant and sexy heroes to sassy and courageous heroines, this series is a pleasure to read.
And if the story is centered around the only female of the Montgomery Clan, nothing short of fireworks are expected. The youngest of the family, Summer Montgomery has always been protected, coddled and never given a chance to prove her worth. Flitting from one interest to another, trying to find her place amidst the vast successful Montgomery business or outside of her family cage, the super smart and intelligent Summer Montgomery ends up putting to rest her lustful feelings towards Ethan Reed. One touch, one kiss and one magical night change everything.
Best friend to Zack Montgomery and co-adrenaline junkie partner, Ethan Reed has been in love with Summer forever and when circumstances bring them together in Alaska, they succumb to the desires that their hearts and souls have been craving. Her restless soul may have found her perfect mate, but now coming out in the open about their relationship is altogether another ball game of monumental proportions.
I believe that Summer Montgomery is Samantha Chase’s perfect creation (after Jordon). Down to earth and big hearted and always trying to please her family, she is the modern woman with so many insecurities. The thirst for approval and acceptance sends her on a path of self-realization. Her sassiness and love for her family takes her on a roller coaster ride of emotions and Ethan’s love grounds her and her heart to be hopeful.
Ethan is the perfect complement to Summer as he brings out her strengths giving her courage and self-assurance, not that she’s lacking in it. But having a staunch supporter always helps the case. Patient, passionate and reasonable, Ethan gives Summer the confidence to make decisions that changes the equation with her family.
I loved the subtle change in Samantha’s narration as she gives a bit more page space to secondary characters. She seems to have done a superb job incorporating a storyline that takes the readers into the next Montgomery book, yet keeping “Meant For You” exclusive to Summer and Ethan’s love story.
This is definitely more than a five star read and I personally don’t think any reviews can do justice to Summer’s character. She will remain as one of my top favorites forever.
