Sara Humphreys is another writer that I enjoyed reading and will continue to do so. My first book of hers was “Brave The Heat”, first in her McGuire Brothers series and I totally fell in love with the McGuire brothers and her skillful narration of a love story.
In her second book, “Trouble Walls In”, Maddy Morgan is a big trouble with a capital T and she ends up in Ronan McGuire’s territory giving him sleepless nights. Occasional meet ups, long runs and talks with his once old flame is not enough and neither being in the friends zone. But Maddy is hiding from living life and Ronan needs to play his cards carefully to handcuff her to his side permanently. As a successful real estate agent, Maddy has made a safe life for herself after a painful loss but being friends and spending time with Ronan sparks a desire for more.
And as both explore their feelings for each other, there’s a serial killer targeting real estate agents and Maddy gets into the cross hairs of an evil hell bent on killing her. And it’s up to the K-9 cop Ronan and his dog to bring Maddy home safe.
A romantic suspense that warms the heart and keeps the suspense going, Sara Humphreys keeps the narration tight and strong. The dialogue and chemistry between Ronan and Maddy is penned with care, detail and charisma.
