Naomi Pierce and Brice Harper steam up the pages of this rodeo romance when she returns to her Texas hometown to support her best friend in the rodeo. But then danger seems to stalk her and her friend and the ever protective Brice wants to keep her safe. But in the game of love and danger, looks like Brice is going to be losing his heart to Naomi as they can’t keep the attraction from being ignited into flames!

Another romantic suspense from Donna Grant, captivating her readers. She’s one author who does tremendous justice to paranormal as well as romance with an ease of mastery.

“Cowboy, Cross My Heart” is worth a read!

Lindsay McKenna is one of the best military romance writers that I’ve come across and some of her books are immensely memorable and have revisited numerous times. Along with badass soldiers, she also writes some great badass cowboy stories.

WindRiverLawman-WindRiverValley#6-LindsayMcKenna-Oct2018

Book six in the Wind River Valley series, “Wind River Lawman”, gives us another glimpse into the life of army veterans, their service and courage, survival and betrayal, and the acclimating into the norm of everyday life.

As her law enforcement career keeps Sarah Carter busy, her search for someone loyal and hardworking to take care of her ever active grandmother brings her in contact with retired Navy medic Dawson Callahan. When Sarah takes a bullet on the job, Dawson steps in to take care of things on the ranch as well as her. And with fate playing the love cards, looks like Dawson and Sarah are destined to be making a future together.

As always, Lindsay McKenna does another great job at a story filled with warmth, support, compassion, courage and love. She gives importance to the trials of war returned vets and with enough support, compassion and empathy, they can lead normal lives.

Lauren Dane writes some pretty interesting romantic suspenses and the Chase Brothers sure set the ball rolling. I don’t get a chance to read as often, but anytime I pick a book of hers, her stories leave me with warm feelings and satisfaction of reading a good romance.

“Taking Chase” is no exception as Sheriff Shane Chase tries to figure out the mystery behind the new resident of Petal, Georgia, Cassie Gambol. Cassie has a lot to hide and a tenacious desire to start a new life in the little town of warm residents and friendly people. Then again amidst the mystery of her past, is the the temptation of the Sheriff himself. As they try to work on a relationship dancing around each other, Cassie’s past catches up with her and Shane has a lot to lose as he fights for the love of his life.

The Chase brothers are a sexy bunch  of siblings, raised with morals and ethics as they are bound to protect the loves of their lives as well as the little town of Petal. With humor and great affection, witty dialogues and some sizzling chemistry, Lauren Dane makes “Taking Chase” a reading pleasure.

Kendra Eliot’s “Mercy Kilpatrick” series continues as FBI Agent Mercy Kilpatrick and Police Chief Truman Daly guarding the little town of Eagle’s Nest, Oregon, a town that seems to harbor unexpected crimes and open long buried secrets.

AMercifulSilence-MercyKilpatrick#4-KendraElliot-Oct 2018

“A Merciful Silence” throws Mercy Kilpatrick into the midst of a reprise of gruesome slaughters, two decades ago and now the discovery of bones in a downpour of a storm. As Mercy tries to unravel the mystery surrounding this murder, Truman is caught in the vice of the killer. And with time against them, Mercy has to find the killer before she loses Truman and Truman’s only goal is to get to Mercy at any cost.

“A Merciful Silence” is another brilliant fiction as Kendra takes another step in forging Mercy’s place in the little town. This story also takes Mercy and Truman’s relationship to another level, as they battle the very possibility of not surviving a killer’s madness.

Still paying  great attention to the dynamics of the Kilpatrick family, Kendra Elliot weaves another intense story of family loyalties, loss and pain, hope and faith. And I’ve always loved her prowess of developing a personal relationship, layer by layer, book by book…my favorite attribute of hers.

Book three of Texas Trilogy series, “Beyond Control” is even more captivating to read! Big Texas skies, a lone rancher and a tenacious redhead with a daughter is the premise for an interesting read as danger and passion go “Beyond Control”.

BeyondControl-TexasTrilogy#3

The first meeting between Josh Cain and Victoria Bradford pretty much lays the foundation for a great read as Kat Martin weaves in a love story of pain and loss, hope and love.

A worthy read indeed from Kat Martin!
