Readers of Vision Of Justice, have met Detective Gus Lambert’ partner, Kinley Wright and his family of law enforcement brothers. Second in the Vision series by Charlee James,  “Vision Of Power” has FBI agent Easton Adair helping Kinley Wright bring closure to traumatic past that seems to have found Kinley.

Victim of a violent kidnapping and now a courageous and brave survivor, Kinley has worked her entire life to keep the innocent safe and help put evil behind bars bringing closure to families that have endured pain and loss. She always knew that her past would somehow collide with her present, and having Easton on her side helps her deal with the unknown threat harassing her.

A tech whiz and his position as a FBI agent, gives Easton the added ammunition to protect and help Kinley deal with a killer playing deadlyy games and wanting to finish what started a few years ago. Kinley brings out all his protective instincts and more, and the killer has to go past Easton to get to Kinley.

In a deadly game of cat and mouse, Easton has everything to lose, and losing Kinley is not an option. Again, Charlee James creates an interesting story of romance and suspense with an engrossing plot and captivating characters

Here’s another new author, Charlee James, (seems to be fairly new), and add to my list of authors to continue to read. She was definitely a surprise read.

Vision Of Justice“, book one of the Vision Series, brings Detective Gus Lambert to Sasha Frost, an artist instrumental in helping rescue a kidnapped teenager. Too close to home, and a series of murders in the aftermath, Gus has a serial murder to catch, who is hell bent to mete out justice of his own. A twisted plot that unravels with each murder, Sasha is caught in the crosshairs of the killer, and if Gus cannot unnravel the twisted mind of the killer, he would be losing the woman he’s fallen for.

Charlee James sure did create an extremely interesting and twisted plot, narrated exceptionally well as well. Both Gus and Sasha are well developed characters, and Vision Of Justice is definitely a story not to be missed.

Red Stone Security series reaches a milestone with it’s book#20, “Danger Rising”, with Lana fighting to secure her family heirloom, and the supposedly dead Teague keeping an eye on her from the shadows, protecting her from danger. Fans of Katie Reus need no introduction to her, and romance lovers will love her various series, with not doubt. All books in this series can be read as standalone. Another winner for Katie Reus and this is one series I’ve revisited innumerable times as comfort reading.

This light and quick read from Katie Reus is perfect for the romantic at heart.

Tough on the outside, with a heart as big as Wyoming. Protective to the core, with justice and fairness running in blood. And when the tough have to wage a battle with love, heart and soul takes to the knees.

Meet the oldest of the Wilde brothers, Hunt Wilde. A lawman to the core and serving justice with fairness, his heart beats for Cyn Wilson, as wild as Wyoming.

Vibrant as the colof of her hair, salon owner Cyn Wilson lives life to the fullest, with a heart of gold and ever helpful to her townspeople, and her heart skips a beat every time Hunt crosses her path.

When Cyn’s sister and her niece disappear, Cyn turns to Hunt for help. A traumatic situation that brings Cyn and Hunt together working alongside, as they explore the attraction between them. A trauma that cements their relationship as well as the love and trust they have with each other.

As always, Jennifer Ryan with her exceptional writing and narrative skills, threads a story of love and family, no holds barred. I loved the parallel story line with Cyn’s sister that actually develops the relationship between Cyn and Hunt, cementing their intimacy and commitment to each other. Supporting family characters, the humorous innuendos and witty conversations, add charm and chemistry to the story.

Disclaimer: The story revolves around domestic abuse which may be a trigger.

Here’s another brand new author, Kenzie Macallan, whom I had the pleasure of reading one of her Deep Op 8 series book, “Burn”.

MI6 agent, Declan Creighton is grateful he survived an accident, but the loss of his memories is a constant reminder of what his life may have been. But not one to keep to the shadows, heading back to his past life may bring him some answers, answers in the form of Biochemist Olivia Mercel.

A covet program that was supposed to help soldiers, gone wrong and now revived by an evil unknown, Olivia and Declan team up to uncover the person behind the plot. As the plot thickens and Olivia gets into the crosshairs, Declan is right beside her, protecting her as they uncover the deception.

Adding a twist to the plot, is the past history between Oliva and Declan, a history that Declan doesn’t remember and a pain that gives Olivia a pause in her dream for a future. But the laws of attraction and secrets don’t remain buried long.

Kenzie Macallan gives her readers an intense plot of deception, a narrative that keeps her readers enthralled and characters with great chemistry and layers.

A definite pleasure reading a new author and a definite repeat author in the future.
