“A Merciful Silence” throws Mercy Kilpatrick into the midst of a reprise of gruesome slaughters, two decades ago and now the discovery of bones in a downpour of a storm. As Mercy tries to unravel the mystery surrounding this murder, Truman is caught in the vice of the killer. And with time against them, Mercy has to find the killer before she loses Truman and Truman’s only goal is to get to Mercy at any cost.

“A Merciful Silence” is another brilliant fiction as Kendra takes another step in forging Mercy’s place in the little town. This story also takes Mercy and Truman’s relationship to another level, as they battle the very possibility of not surviving a killer’s madness.

Still paying  great attention to the dynamics of the Kilpatrick family, Kendra Elliot weaves another intense story of family loyalties, loss and pain, hope and faith. And I’ve always loved her prowess of developing a personal relationship, layer by layer, book by book…my favorite attribute of hers.

Kendra Elliot’s new series, takes us into the little rural town of Eagle’s Nest, Oregon, where secrets are buried deep, and the residents are perpetual preppers, waiting for a disaster to strike…. living off the grid and off of the land.

Hometown to FBI special agent Mercy Kilpatrick, a series of murders brings her back to the town she had left fifteen years and a to family estranged with divided loyalties. Coming back to her roots is bittersweet but it also awakens a deadly serial killer gone quite throwing Mercy into the crosshairs of danger.

Thrown together with the local police chief Truman Daly to assist in solving the murders, Mercy and Truman drawn into a deadly game of missing weapons and possible terrorist activities. Working side by side, Truman admires the survivalist side of her even as she makes a place in his heart. But Mercy also has secrets buried deep in Eagle’s Nest that could break the fragile bond between her and Truman.

“A Merciful Death” is a brilliantly narrated thriller; Kendra Elliot keeps the plot tight and twisted until the very end. With great attention to the dynamics of the Kilpatrick family, she weaves an intense story of family loyalties, loss and pain, hope and faith and the nuances of a small rural town’s lifestyle and a great insight into the mentality of preppers and survivalists.

A great start to what seems to be another intense and captivating series, can’t wait to see how Kendra Elliot will evolve Mercy Kilpatrick on a personal level as well as professionally. “A Merciful Truth” will follow “A Merciful Death”.

A new series, new book boyfriends, new alphas and sassy heroines, and new romances for me to indulge my reading addiction – all presented by Melody Anne with the first book, “Turbulent Intentions”, in her new series “Billionaire Aviaitors”, as the Armstrong Brothers try to find love albeit the demands of their father’s will.

TurbulantIntentions-BillionairAviators#1-MelodyAnne-Aug2016

Pilot and CEO of his own airlines, Cooper Armstrong commands the skies as well as the hearts of beautiful women. But one lady remains in the far recess of his mind, tucked away but never forgotten. That one night passionate night with his Cinderella that leaves him wanting more with no idea as to whom this mysterious woman was.

Fate has been dealing Stormy Halifax one bolt after another as she struggles to keep a positive attitude and keep moving forward. As she rolls with the punches, never for one moment does she lose her faith or smile. Matchmaking benefactors put her under Cooper’s roof and what we get is one stormy and passionate love story.

Melody Anne is one of my favorite romantic writers and she pens another stormy story as Cooper and Stormy try to come to grips of fate throwing them a second chance and if they can make a future together. With Charming and charismatic Cooper and Stormy, wonderful and kind supporting characters, humor, passion and emotions running along, and with a perfect narration of the story, “Turbulent Intentions” will be one of favorite to-go-to book.

As a voracious reader, I thrive on simple, charming and mushy romances and I feed off of convoluted, crazy and evil mind gamed characters created by authors. Both require hard work, immense passion for their characters and getting into the minds of their characters to give them individuality and depth.

Spiralled-MasonAva3-June2015

Book 3 of the Callahan/McLane series, “Spiraled” literally takes the readers down a twisted path of a guy hell bent on creating havoc and targeting law personnel and on the other end of the spectrum, a mentally unstable sister makes Ava McLane wonder if she can ever be sane around her. And in all this mayhem, Detective Mason Callahan questions his stance beside Ava and is he prepared to put a ring on her finger?

As the OSO and FBI try to get to the bottom of mass shootings in public areas by young adults, Special FBI Agent Ava has her own demons to fight as her sister makes an appearance in her life. She questions her support for her sister, her love/hate relationship with her and the guilt she feels for dragging Mason into her spiraling life. And the question remains if Ava can survive the emotional upheaval of her sister, even as she struggles to keep death away from her.

“Spiraled” is just not about a demented guy wanting revenge; it is so much more about the progress of the relationship between Mason and Ava. They may face danger every day in their job, but their personal space is equally affected by their jobs. Kendra does an awesome job of showing the progress of their relationship from their first case to now. The trust and love, the companionship and support, the maturity and understanding of each other, is what makes them stand apart and be able to handle the fears and insecurities in their lives.

“Spiraled” is another of Kendra Elliot’s crowning glory, that keeps you guessing of the end game, and the narration of story and placement of situations is just apt and engrossing. And yes it can be read as a stand-alone, but you’ll be tempted to read how Ava and Mason met in the first place.
