You can say I’m biased, partial or plain one-sided, but in my opinion Cynthia Eden writes the best paranormal that I’ve ever come across.
Vampires, Demons, and all the other known paranormal is known to exist among us. Just like us humans faced with the good, the bad and the ugly, so does the paranormal realm. And the evil is sent to Purgatory, a place where the evil of the evil are prisoned forever.
Cynthia Eden’s second release in her Purgatory Series, “Marked By The Vampire”, takes us up close and personal with Shane August, an FBI agent and Dr. Olivia Maddox. Shane is one of a kind, super powerful vampire working undercover to infiltrate Purgatory to bring light to strange and dangerous experiments being conducted. Olivia is sent on the ride to study the reason some vampires turn deadly versus others who remain good.
The clash of a vampire and a jinnh is a magical thunderbolt and the mating of these two is astronomically addictive. Even as Shane and Olivia try to discover the evil behind Purgatory, betrayal and unknown forces are at play trying to burn these two to ashes. Olivia struggles to find herself and accept her identity and Shane puts his life at stake for the love of his life.
With all the adrenaline and evil surging on Purgatory, betrayal and double-crossing in play, lust and passion weaving its magic around Shane and Olivia, surviving seems to be just out of a finger’s reach and the beast within is waging a victory.
Another outstanding creation from Cynthia Eden!!!! Non-stop action, unpredictable situations, desires as dark as the night, lust as thick as fog and trust put to the ultimate test, this is one book you don’t want to miss.
The eternal battle of good over evil can see no end. To get justice, there will be sacrifices and sufferings. For every act of evil, there will be that one individual or a group, wanting to face that extra step of danger, wanting to sacrifice that extra individual to make sure the good prevails over evil. And when the evil comes from within, that is the risk needing careful planning of elimination.
Toni Anderson’s “Cold Justice” series runs along those lines. This is a series of loyal, hardworking law enforcers, willing to sacrifice for protecting the honor of an individual or a country.
Ranging from terrorist attacks to vigilante justice, her books are worth reading for the pure thrill of the ride. The romance and passion is not far behind. I loved Alex Parker and his Mallory in her first book, “A Cold Dark Place”, as well as Jed Brennan and Vivi in “Cold Pursuit”. Fighting the dark forces and battling the consequences of the acts of justice, secret or open, is no menial task for the law enforcers.
And the Gateway Project was so cool!!! A clandestine government agency set up to take out serial killers, pedophiles and other bad apples, this series is high on adrenaline, the danger quotient tops off the chart and passion is sinful. My kind of books for reading and Toni Anderson delivers some good thrills.
Reading them in sequence is so much more enjoyable and I would definitely recommend her other creations.
The Sloans sure know how to make readers moan in pleasure!!! Melanie Shawn’s latest in the Crossroad Series, “Actually Love” brings us up close and personal with Jessie and Zach.
They do make an adorable couple. Jessie, a famous PR professional is pitted against Zach, the sexy kryptonite boxer. Misunderstandings and a need for a home have them sharing a house posing as a couple and we get to go on a super sexy ride of a delightful romance.
Gotta love the Sloan clan – siblings and cousins galore. With a typical family having the fun of teasing these two, to advising them in the game of love, to the Golden Girls meddling in their lives, “Actually Love” is a true and true, fuzzy, feel good love story!
Along with Jessie and Zach trying to find their place with each other, in each other’s lives, Melanie sure throws us into a myriad of emotions, with family support, and heart to heart talks. When Zach’s past comes punching into their lives, loved the way it was handled with sense and sensibility.
This is one knockout of a story and you can’t but help fall in love with Zach and Jessie.
Readers who are not familiar with the Crossroad Series, should definitely get to know the Sloans – love big families!!!
Second book in the “Protector Series”, Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams, dish out another pleasing and delightful story, “Honor Bound” featuring an appealing and protective Sebastian and a young and likable Ali.
Always wanting to do the right thing, yet standing up against any injustice meted out, Sebastian is one guy any girl would fall hopelessly in love with. Loyal and with unconditional support for his fellow Marines, I like the way he corrects the wrong done by his affluent Maxwell family.
Bent on getting justice for her family that had been ripped apart by the wealthy and the greedy, Ali is on a mission of her own, working as an assistant for an event planner, to guise her real task of gathering information against the guilty. She is fearless and focused and even the honor bound Sebastian cannot derail her!
Sebastian materializes at every turn that Ali lands herself in her quest for justice and inevitably gets saved being caught, very single time. They both make an endearing pair as they play hide and seek and finally succumb to their growing attraction.
A sweet story of HEA as Sebastian and Ali finally find themselves in each other’s arms for life, a story definitely not to be missed.
