The beauty of this love story lies in its simplicity deeply intertwined with the complexity of life. This is one of those very few stories where the main characters, Gabe Maguire and Adriana Hale have such intense chemistry that fills every word Melanie Shawn has penned!

When fate deals MMA fighter Gabe Maguire a left hook, he takes it in his stride with courage and patience, with support and care from his family, victorious and a champ. Now officially a firefighter, he wants to have his own HEA and family in Hope Falls, and destiny brings him face to face with Adriana Hale.

Mother of twins and guardian of a nine year old nephew, Adriana Hale at a young age of twenty six has her life mapped out around her little family. Circumstances and with the need to do the right thing, brings Adriana to the charming town of Hope Falls, warmth and Gabe, who may vey well be deeply connected to her family.

The grandeur of this romance lies in the expert narration by Melanie Shawn as Gabe and Adriana handle the normal complexities of life with patience, practical and reasonable and a healthy dose of attraction and love. With the presence of kids and their personal lives and feelings interlaced with that of the adults, I love the fact that their feelings were given precedence, yet not taking away the essence of adulthood, the complexities and the emotions.

“Fire And Foreplay” is a poignant read of two of the most beautiful people who deserve all the happiness in the world, for themselves and for their readymade family. Kudos to Melanie and Shawna as they keep the plot tight, the narration light and humorous, highlighting emotions and relationships and full of warmth and incredibly beautiful. In a world going so wrong, here is a lovely romance to make us feel hopeful and the belief that the good outweighs the bad.

It looks like my first read of Michele Dunaway is a runaway hit in my opinion. Reading a book just for the pleasure of it with no expectations sure brought me immense satisfaction and looks like Michele Dunaway will be on my to-continue-to-read list.

Mr. September aka Joe Marino sure knows how to seduce a woman with his infamous Marino charm and pure dedication to his job as a firefighter. Being photographed for the Sexy Public Servants Charity Calendar may not be his forte, but it brings him in contact with Taylor Krebs, the photographer.

Taylor is trying to make a life of her own as she completes her photography project and sustain her photography business. Putting behind her the crazy past she had with her possessive ex-boyfriend, she definitely is not looking to hook up with the gorgeous firefighter that everyone seems to love and respect.

Yet sparks fly between Joe and Taylor. Love doesn’t send an invitation seeking permission, and working closely together to spearhead Joe’s pet project for the Burns Recovery Support Group only makes it harder for them to ignore their feelings. Passion ignites stoking their desire and the entire Marino family supports the relationship with warmth and gusto. But Joe and Taylor have a few hang-ups and insecurities to work out, before they can hope for a future.

“Burning For You” is one of most sweetest and enchanting books I’ve read. Taylor with her will power to be independent, her big heart as she helps families deal with the death of loved ones through her camera, is a strong and tenacious lady looking for love and stability and you can’t help but like her. Joe as the savior, loving son and protective brother is just perfect as guilt and physical shortcomings just make him even more endearing.

Michele Dunaway does a super nice job of developing this enchanting love story with Joe and Taylor. There is so much warmth, love, friendship and support in this book, it flows in the pages and stays with us for a long time.

Burning For You will burn the shelves on  April 7, 2015
