This is as ready as we can be for her “Ready Series”. Jennifer L. Berg broke into the contemporary romance writers’ scene with her two notable books “When You’re Ready” and “Never Been Ready” and her readers with great satisfaction have embraced both books, and I happen to be one of them……..

I had an opportunity to grill this fun, mother of two lovely kids  and here’s Jennifer in her virtual avatar talking to B’Khush……….

I came across Kat Martin and her “Raines Series” quite by accident and a worthy accident it was. Besides the three Raines brothers, Jackson, Gabriel and Dev, the series also revolves around the whole group of private investigators and the women who give a good run for their love, egos and protectiveness. With stories of murder, love, loyalty and support, each one of them was a superlative ride of thrill and suspense.Image

The Raines Series transcends into the “Against Series” with the Brodies making their presence felt. Related to Ty Brodie from “Against The Mark”, I am looking forward to getting acquainted with Dylan, Nick and Rafe. Kat’s writing is an art of expression that keeps us on the edge of our seats. As much as the stories have the premise of suspense and thrill, each is as different as chalk and cheese. Not one story did I feel repetitious or had an urge skip.

Besides her Raines Series, I have a special fondness for her “Hunted Trilogy” Her “The Silent Rose” was one of my all time favorites. Even after knowing the suspense, I still enjoyed re-reading, more than twice. This book was a surprise read that had me completely captivated and mesmerized. With a surprise element of paranormal and the presence of a vengeful ghost, this book had me rooted to my couch until I read “The End”.  In fact this story was based on real life events and was well worthy a read.

ImageJonathan Stafford and Devon James are such likeable characters with their painful pasts, and they come together as they take care of each other through their insecurities and fears. Despite the bizarre events, the story had an edge of calm and serenity about it. Despite the presence of the paranormal element, the chemistry between Devon and Jonathan was so very well etched and their characters were written to perfection.

Kat Martin is a thrilling read all the way! Check out her website and she’s got a lot more books under her belt.

In another brilliant career move by highly successful self-published author Bella Andre, the author signed an exclusive contract with Kobo to make five of her popular Lucy Kevin titles available in French…….

Thank you “Thebookshed” for tagging my article on Bella and her Sullivans!

The first whiff of Roxanne St. Claire was through the “Guardian Angelinos Series” and The Bullet Catcher Series”. Gripping storyline, tight writing as a foundation, the characters were lively and warm. Saving the world and keeping the women in their lives right next to them is what they do everyday. Add in spicy romance, sprinkles of forgiveness and a dose of family support and love, these are great series that will not disappoint you.Image

Gosh!!!! Can’t get over these “Alpha Males” and Lucy Thorpe is one ass kicking boss of the Bullet Catchers!!!! Her story is one of my all time favorites.  I have to admit, I had gone back to these books more than once and I continue to do so (incurable addiction), not bored for a second even after the repeated reading.   Image

With the suspense and thrill riding one end of a wave, Roxanne’s Barefoot Series on the other end, are a delicious blend of romance and fairytale endings. Throw in a few sexy billionaires in Barefoot Bay, we have  “Secrets On The Sand“, “Seduction On The Sand” and “Scandal On The Sand”, and all the trimmings of a firecracker of love stories as the “Billionaires Of Barefoot Bay” get hitched to the women of their dreams.

ImageI never had so much fun reading the first two and waiting for to get himself buried deep in the scandal of his love! Love these billionaire  “Niners”!!!!!!

Have fun reading and do share your thoughts 🙂

“What’s past is prologue.” – William Shakespeare, The Tempest

A prologue that had Declan and Leah get them embroiled in their own tempest of feelings and emotions.

The second book in the “Ready Series” from J.L.Berg is a whirlwind story of the arrogant Declan, and the sassy Leah. Declan, the cocky actor/director/producer finally meets his match in the spitfire of a firecraker and a darling nurse, Leah.

I have read J.L.Berg’s first book “When You Are Ready” and totally loved it. She set her standards high and sure enough her second book was a great combination of love tested, feelings explored, past revisited and went beyond my expectations. If her first book was a calm read as Logan and Clare journeyed into their happily ever after, “Never Been Ready” is a vortex of fast paced, roller coaster ride for Declan and Leah.

ImageSeveral times during the story, I caught myself catching my breath just so I can catch up with the feelings between Declan and Leah. The story was tastefully narrated and I so loved the humor between these two. The tongue in cheek teasing between Declan and Leah was refreshing and had me chuckling a lot.

Dialogue between best friends Leah and Clare tug at your heartstrings and so does the self-talk Declan has for staying away from Logan. As Leah tries to overcome her hurtful past that spills into her present, and Declan tries to come to terms with his past that blows up in his present face, “Never Been Ready” is one book not to be missed.

Thanks Jennifer for giving me an opportunity to read such a lovely story and I hope to be ready for your next installment J.
