Pyar ka gher

Nainon tale khwaab hai jo
Honton tale pyaas hai jo
Bhade  dhadkane, ruke saanse
Saamne jab woh aaya
Ehsaas jo yeh chaaya
Kyon hum na pighale
Kyon pal na thame…
Aise hi zindagi bhar,
Rahe baahen pyar bhar.

Into the world I came
Innocent I of the game
Cradled in the arms of dame
High on shoulders of name…
Learn thru eyes secure
Blossom in love assure,
Tree of memories galore
Remember I amore.
Into new page, step I crowned
Hand in hand, soul mate found
Eyes sparkling, dreams abound
Relations anew, journey wound
Note by note, lyric by lyric,
Song of life on the hymn.
Into the abyss, I spiraled
Mind bleeding, soul shatter
Body crumbling like no matter
Heart in million pieces scatter
Friends into thin air vanish
Relations in question tarnish…..
Beacon of light in the horizon
Oasis of hope in the vision
Yet, shadows of the past,
Haunt me to the ghast
Soul tired, breathes its last!

Food for thought…..

As I watched my daughters have their dinner, making conversation about different kinds of food, it suddenly hit me, the similarities between the variety of food and the variety of our life……and bang went my mind into overdrive as thoughts race ahead with all the similes…..
Food….life; life…food and yes my wheels started turning…furiously! How similar is our life to the variety of food we eat? There is food that is to be tasted, food that is swallowed and food that is chewed and relished.
Just think about it….it starts with that first taste or the first bite. Similar to us being thrown into the beginning of life, the first breath, the first cry, the first taste or the first touch. Our very own initiation of ourselves, into the recipe called life. As we progress on our journey, we learn to swallow the bitterness, disappointments, regrets or any other curve ball that life throws out at us….interesting isn’t it? Exactly like how we have various foods that we tend to swallow! And there are those parts of our lives, where we take time to nurture and enjoy them, moment by moment….we savor them and make memories to last a lifetime….just like we take time to enjoy the delicious food bite by bite…..relishing every spice and taste, our tongue dishes out.
Variety adds spice to life, don’t you think so…..literally and figuratively ;-)….a wonderful palette of nuances of tastes as we go along in our journey called life.
Just remember, we eat to live and not live to eat….be healthy 😉
A dream beautiful had I,
A desire to fulfill, crave I
A life simple, want I….
A journey begin new, a home in country new,
Hours of hard work, into the night mature,
Sacrifices beyond might, came a dream in sight…
A dream of love, with a soul mate lure,
A promise of tomorrow, of wishes small in flight,
A bed of wedded bliss, with a family in view..
Shattering came the dream, million pieces breaking
Trust betrayed, willful acts playing…
Heart filled with despair, eyes brimming in hurt,
A raging war within, mind in anguish
Of fair ‘n foul, of right ‘n wrong
A tempest so harsh, morals in defiance….
Went by time…
Soothing the heart weak
A balm on the dreams bleak
Calming the soul meek…
Went by time…came a Messiah beacon,
Hand in support strong, I hold,
Word in kind concern, I hear,
Act of trust, I learn to believe,
Path of faith, I learn to walk,
A deed of love, I trust to accept.
An impeding ray of light I see,
Breaking thru’ the stormy clouds thee
Erasing the gloom, sunshine in the loom
From ashes, rises hope in bloom…
Of freedom anew, my right I shall claim
A dream beautiful, now have I,
A life simple, a desire fulfilled thy.

Rainbow

Cloudy skies, mind so heavy
Thunderous rain, heart so heavy
Lightening streaks, memories so heavy,
A sudden calm, a sudden balm,
A hopeful ray of golden glam,
Nurturing a rainbow on the horizon.
