A new series, new characters, with a glimpse fo the olden and golden characters making a welcome appearance.

Katie Reus’s new series, Redemption Harbor Security” spears ahead with Jessie Lenox “Fighting For Haley”, to keep her in his life. A self made millionaire rising from the ashes of foster care, Jessie always had a soft spot for Haley that grew into love. But circumstances and life has a way of coming in between two lovers, driving them apart. Years later, fate gives Haley and Jessie another chance at love as all the foster siblings come together to save one of their very own.

I like these new characters in her new series. Loyal, faithful and devoted to each other, I’d love to see the rest of the siblings finding their true love.

The past is definitely not dead and gone!!

Graphic designed Sonya MacTavish is forging a new path in her career after a broken engagement with a supportive mother and her best friend. But being the sole beneficiary of her unknown uncle’s estate sure throws her into a world of the unknown tarnished with a legacy of death and mystery.

Now it’s left to her and her new found love interest, the young lawyer Trey, Cleo and Owen, to get to the bottom of the murders that have plagued her ancestors. Sonya has to keep an open mind and follow the clues her friendly ghosts seem lay out, to a realm that may give her answers and put an end to the curse that has plagued her family for generations.

Remember, this is book one of “The Lost Bride” trilogy and we have to wait for Sonya and Owen to bring back each other to the present. Trey and Cleo will have the wait of a lifetime!

Any story by Nora Roberts is always topnotch with narration, plot and incorporating intense research. With her unlimited imagination, Nora weaves another trilogy of mystique and romance.

Kenzie Macallan, a new writer and a new read on my list. Heading into her Deep 8 series way down the list to her fourth book “Risk”, with Campbell Creighton laying down his life for his Quinn Donovan

With AI being the hot topic of the current world, Kenzie weaves an intriguing story around this very concept, and if we are talking about AI, then politics, conspiracies, power, money and betrayal are not far behind. With technology outspacing humans, it’s a power struggle for survival of the fastest and the richest!

Genius brother and sister duo, Liam and Quin are working on an AI nuclear weapon in a top secret location that is compromised. With her brother MIA, Quinn reaches out to her trusted friend and security specialist, Campbell for help before being kidnapped. The burden of rescue now falls on Cam and his team of special operatives, to thwart whatever the political and power plan was set in operation. And Cam will need his head in the game, if he wants to protect his heart and life, Quinn to bring her back safely.

A fairly new Indie writer in my opinion, “Risk” starts off a bit slow but gets going as we get into the fifth chapter and onwards. But Kenzie Macallan has the imagination and the forte to narrate a story with a genuine plot, keeping the flow of the story interesting and making sure the chemistry among the characters is strong enough to carry the storyline.

Kenzie Macallan is an author to look out for and she’s caught enough of my attention to add her to my list.

It’s always a pleasure reading Katie Reus and if that story is an extension of Red Stone Security, even better for her ardent readers. “Protecting Rebel” features billionaire Weston and his childhood friend and musical start Rebel, as they come face to face after a long time. Yes, they kept in touch as they went their separate ways, but always had a connection with each other, and Weston’s aunt as the common denominator. But never confessed their feelings for each other.

Weston’s aunt funeral and a threat to Rebel, keep them in each other’s paths. Weston will move heaven and earth to keep Rebel safe, and Rebel is ready to come home to where her heart really is.

And it always is a pleasure when you hear mentions of the founders of Red Stone Security and come across agents that make appearances in various stories.

Book 21 of the Red Stone Security series is another HEA and feel good story.

“Love sometimes makes people ruthless in a way that not even hatred can.” ~~ Francesca Marciano, Actress ~~

Gideon Wright – “You wanted to protect the defenseless, Eve. I wanted to be the one to protect the defender.”

Eve Wells – “Thanks for not giving up on me. But if you ever again drug me, kidnap me, or inject something into my body without my consent, I will cause you severe, physical pain.”

That readers, are Gideon and Eve for you! Partners, lovers, soul mates and defenders of the innocent, courageous and honorable.

Christy Reece is “ruthless” in creating her characters with her heart and soul!

A chance encounter between two innocent human beings from different ends of the world, merciless events cement the trajectory of these young lives, yet fated to be in each other’s lives and destined to be together with a future, Eve and Gideon had each other’s backs as Option Zero operatives and friends. Between the lines, their chemistry sizzles, thoughts and actions bring to life their emotions and feelings,  script and narrative is an admirable and resplendent passage to their future.

Merciless in battling betrayal, relentless in fighting for their beliefs, bringing the heartless to justice, ruthless in serving the purpose of their goals and objectives – Option Zero operatives are one of a kind and unforgettable characters….thank you, Christy Reece, for these champions.

Be it heroes or villains, sidekicks or followers, family or relatives,  Christy Reece pours her prowess and mastery in developing each character fit for their respective roles in her books.  Her imagination and vision in creating evil for her stories is ruthless to the point of brilliant, as is her penchant for throwing in a twist or two in the penultimate chapters.

I am not surprised that Iris Gates is in the shadows getting in on the action and I wait with bated breath, for Sean to slay his demons and come back to Serena.
