All Hope Cooper wanted was to spend Christmas with her brother, her only living family. Having lost their parents a couple of months ago, Hope is still reeling from the loss and Ted is busy working long hours for the beast of a boss! She is royally pissed that Ted’s boss can be immune to the festivities and family time. Not to mention that he even rejected her business proposal for a café in one of his hotels. So it’s no wonder that Hope is livid, frustrated and mad beyond reason with Mr. ‘Beast’ James!!!!

MoonlightInWinterLake-SamanthaChase-Dec2014

Beckett “Beast’ James hates the holidays and everything that goes with them including his own family. Experience and expectations has made him wary of relationships and he shut his heart to love, empathy and family. His only focus is to grow his business and he does it with narrow-minded intensity, leaving no room for any other feelings or any distractions, be it the beauty herself.

Circumstances leave Hope with Beckett at his ski lodge and the attraction that flares between cannot be doused by the snowstorm outside. As they give into each other under the moonlight, Beckett and Hope explore their feelings trying to hold the magic in the air. But with opinions resting on two ends of the spectrum, it is only a matter of time before the winter wonder disappears.

Samantha Chase pens another sweet story of love between two contrasting people, with different ideologies. When people fall in love, there is always a middle ground, and between all the frustration, impatience and shouting, Beckett and Hope sure find a common ground. Samantha did a fine job with her characters, and don’t be surprised if you want to pull your hair out at their antics and feel like screaming at them to get over their stupid arguments…OMG!!!! Caught myself doing it…. 😉

And this is one of the most beautiful and romantic covers I’ve come across!!!!

Moonlight In Winter Park – Surprise…Enchantment…Family…Snowflakes…Love…Yuletide.

Wild child Chloe Thompson! The running-away-from-settling-down-in-one-place Chloe Thompson!! The one-who-can’t-put-roots-in-one-place Chloe Thompson!!! Pregnant, temperamental, hormonal, weepy, pissed off at her sexy and handsome husband Sawyer Bennett, Chloe Thompson is putting every one of her family and friends in the firing range of her protective husband.

MerryChristmasBaby-LuckyHarbor-Final

Can Christmas at Lucky Harbor get any more exciting with a storm raging outside, Chloe all set to deliver the little “Bean”, and Sawyer may very well miss all the action and endure Chloe’s wrath. Chloe defies Sawyer and emotional blackmails into going to the Christmas party to be among her family and friends, a poor substitute for Sawyer who’s away on one final mission.

It’s a beautiful story of a woman finding her peace among her well-wishers. It’s a magical story of two wonderful people, having gone through so much turmoil and upheaval in their past, and they are finally putting roots in one place with each other. And it’s an emotional beginning to a beautiful future, as Chloe and Sawyer give birth to a baby, welcoming the ups and downs, keeping each other on their toes, surprising and unpredictable, but so much in love with each other, it brings tears to your eyes.

A short and a perfect story, beside a fireplace with hot chocolate in hand, and Christmas lights twinkling and carols in the background, Jill Shalvis takes us on a visit with the hot and sexy alphas of Lucky Harbor along with the sassy and gorgeous partners on their arms, and the town of Lucky Harbor welcoming the new addition, adding beauty to it’s landscape…a perfect update for Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr!!! A fitting end to an outstanding series!!!!

Lindsay McKenna writes some astounding stories of awe-inspiring courage and love. I’ve read so many of her books, and each book is a testimony of her talent in creating characters with layers of depth, stories that bring you happiness and sadness, and circumstances that take you on a journey of selfless heroism and valor.

WolfHaven-LindsayMcKenna-Nov2014

Navy ER nurse Skylar Pascal comes back home alive, surviving capture and torture in Afghanistan. No amount of therapy can erase the pain and torment of she had gone through in the war-ravaged country. As she tries to find a footing in the midst of normal life, PTSD does not make it easy for her to keep at jobs. Her search for sanity and survival brings her to Elk Horn Ranch, Wyoming and she gets her first stable job at the ranch taking care of the young guests and running the dispensary.

Ex-Navy Seal Grayson McCoy is the pioneer in helping create a safe haven for wild life on Elk Ranch and Skylar brings out all his protective instincts. Having experienced insurmountable suffering and PTSD, he can really understand Skylar’s plight and is only a step away from lending a helping hand.

As Gray and Skylar work together, flickers of awareness ignite between them. As Skylar gains her confidence back, Gray stokes the flickers into embers of passion. As Skylar heals mentally and physically, Gray finds his center with Skylar. Skylar blossoms in Gray’s protection and the Elk Horn Ranch heals her with its open skies and warmth of the wilderness. Yet sometimes the wilderness and a safe haven can be threatened from the inside….

“Wolf Haven” is another remarkable story of two war veterans, coming back home wounded, and trying to find a place in the norm of life. McKenna does an outstanding job of etching Gray and Skylar, their recuperation and wellness, their support and empathy for each other and the humbleness of nature gives them a safe haven to heal with each, for each other. McKenna pays much need attention to the minutest of details of the healing process…truly a wonderful story in its simplicity of love and complexity of emotions.

Here’s another first for me……Naked Cowboys and Desiree Holt!!! Obviously haven’t had a chance to read all about those Naked Cowboys (intend to rectify this mistake!!!), but “Naked Desire” is a good start for me in the series.

NakedDesire-DesireeHold-Nov2014

Cynthia Dellinger is leaving a painful and betrayed marriage of fifteen years behind her and lands in Saddler’s Wells, TX to start on a clean slate. With a small settlement to her name and a secret family rub recipe that may well be the foundation for a new lease of life, she lays roots in the land of sexy cowboys and sassy and supportive friends.

With her close friends lending a helping hand, not only in business but in her personal life, she meets the super sexy and younger than her carpenter cowboy Jesse Orosco. With his own successful business, the busy and charismatic artist gets lassoed with Cyn’s beauty and her determination. He helps build her store and along the way falls madly in love with her.

As the passion between Cyn and Jesse steams the tarps in the store, and fires the wood, Cyn’s rub with her own secret ingredient seems to be causing Cynsations in the public and their love lives!!!. Even as her business is taking off in an incredibly magical way, Jesse is having a hard time convincing Cyn that age is no barrier in the game of love and heart. And being the tenacious cowboy he is, with the help of his friends, he is hell bent on keeping her in his saddle forever.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and her whole group of friends is adorable, tenacious, supportive and hilarious to the core. Cyn as the mature and successful yet vulnerable lady is a treat getting to know her. And Jesse as the I-know-what-I-want and I-want-Cyn is the perfect gentleman and lover to boot. I definitely will go back to catch up on other’s love stories.

Andi’s lifetime ambition is to become a published author and the perfect opportunity lands with her, when she returns home to Callaway Cove. Her idol and renowned author Ford Delaney is looking for an intern to help him with his research, and Andi knows this is an opportunity of a lifetime.

Ford Delaney is hiding in Calloway Cove away from the paparazzi and intrusion into his private life. He’s got a past that haunts him, and his attraction to Andi may very well be his downfall. But he is willing to help Andi achieve her goal, as he creates openings for her with his literary resources at his disposal.

WrittenOnHerHeart-PaigeRion-Nov2014

As Andi and Ford try to curb their growing desire for each other, the consequences of their actions seem to leave a deluge of broken relationships and pain behind them. As Ford’s past catches up with him, Andi finds herself fulfilling her life-long dream of becoming a published author, but alone and miserable and hoping one day Ford would come back to her.

The plot is good, and the storyline is interesting. Lots of time I had to remember that Andi is only 21 years old, and her actions and reactions are of a young adult. Ford is the successful and arrogant guy hardened with life experiences, yet he is very protective of Andi.

All in all, “Written On Her Heart” is a good one time read, and for a first time read of Paige Rion, it’s a decent book.
