The party was a killer!

Literally!!! A pre-wedding party turns into a crime scene when one of the brides is murdered, grueseome, personal and with hatred.

There’s no rest for Lt. Eve Dallas and the cop inside. Called into the crime scene inside the Down and Dirty club owned by one of their many friends, Eve has to be the reason and free from passion to bring the murderer to justice.

With her innate sense of detection and tenacity, her ever competent and witty team of enforcement and Eve have the arduous task of catching an envious evil consumed by passion that led to a horrendous crime.

Don’t miss a single dialogue between Eve and Roarke! Their banter and conversation is to die for, and every time I read a “Death” book, I am amazed at their relationship. They have come a long way from “Naked In Death” to “Passions In Death”. Narrating the path from meeting to marrying to traveling the bumpy road of a relationship to the maturity of their relationship,  amassing a life long of friendships and family, is a masterpiece that in my humble opinion only J. D. Robb can be trusted to pen with heart.

The highlight for me, in every Death book is Eve’s and Roarke’s relationship, leaving me delightfully gratified and satisfied!

Isn’t life a mind game? Give and take, ups and downs, doubts and beliefs, tides and rifts. With a twist of fate and destiny taking your hand, what we do with the given is entirely up to us.

A happy and content family, the Foxes lead a successful life with their children and like every year, their annual trip to visit Grammie Lucy is the highlight of their lives. But this year, fate has other plans for this happy  family, gripping them in a turmoil of “Mind Games” that forever will change their lives.

I don’t even know where to start with a review, because this is one of those stories that is a compulsory read, to journey with Thea and her brother Rem, as they learn to navigate a life without their parents, for Thea to come to terms with her vision, and build a future for themselves along with their Grammie Lucy.

The entire time I was reading the story, I was waiting for the other shoe to fall. I forget for a second that this is Nora Robert’s plot and never does she give us the ordinary, and there’s a reason she’s a topnotch writer! The characters are created with extreme care and thought, their characters developed with great thought as they age through life, and the ancillary characters were well placed with care. The antagonist of the story is a masterful creation and giving him the vision made him a worthy adversary when the time comes for Thea to put an end to his mind games.

To understand the relationship of the Foxes, Grammie Lucy and the aftermath of the tragedy, the consequences of having a special gift, and the courage to accept and live  a full life, “Mind Games” will give the readers an insight into these wonderful characters. A must read book!!

A night of fun with her best friends becomes the last night for the unsuspecting sixteen year old Jenna. A random death that leaves her parents with a grief, unsaid and unexplained. But for Lieutenant Eve Dallas, death is personal, always. The why of the murder is what fascinates Eve more than the how. The why is what feeds her intelligent and experienced mind the start to an investigation, to bring justice to the victims.

With her tenacious and insightful mind, murder board, Peabody, Roarke and her team of passionate law enforcement always at her back, Eve Dallas will go to any lengths to bring down the psychopath consumed with hatred and fixated on killing young people.

But, what I love the most about J. D. Robb and her Death series is the growth of Eve’s and Roarke’s relationship. From the time they met, to getting married, to falling into a wife and husband status, both have matured and nurtured each other, family lost, as well as an extended family. These glimpses that J. D. Robb gives importance to in her narrations and pages, makes my heart full.

Writing the Death series as J. D. Robb, Nora Roberts is always topnotch with narration, plot and incorporating intense research. Be it suspense, paranormal, romance or law enforcement, she is unsurpassable!

The past is definitely not dead and gone!!

Graphic designed Sonya MacTavish is forging a new path in her career after a broken engagement with a supportive mother and her best friend. But being the sole beneficiary of her unknown uncle’s estate sure throws her into a world of the unknown tarnished with a legacy of death and mystery.

Now it’s left to her and her new found love interest, the young lawyer Trey, Cleo and Owen, to get to the bottom of the murders that have plagued her ancestors. Sonya has to keep an open mind and follow the clues her friendly ghosts seem lay out, to a realm that may give her answers and put an end to the curse that has plagued her family for generations.

Remember, this is book one of “The Lost Bride” trilogy and we have to wait for Sonya and Owen to bring back each other to the present. Trey and Cleo will have the wait of a lifetime!

Any story by Nora Roberts is always topnotch with narration, plot and incorporating intense research. With her unlimited imagination, Nora weaves another trilogy of mystique and romance.

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” ~ George Bernard Shaw ~

Planting roots and making a life for herself, is Morgan Albright’s desire. With a house to her name, two satisfying jobs, friends and family as her support, Morgan is cruising life and enjoying finding herself in the process. A chance encounter with a stranger whom she likes, a normal occurrence of a relationship that she hopes may lead to something more, actually transcends to extremely tragic circumstances. Morgan not only loses her best friend, but also her life as she is stripped off of her life, her goals and her identity.

Identity theft is such a common and devastating occurrence in our current world, and reinventing yourself is no mean task. With the help of her mother and her grandmother, Morgan realizes what happened to her is not what she is, but what she chooses to become now, will be her identity. Creating a new life, takes immense courage and strength and Morgan has that in spades.

“Identity” is a psychological thriller, following Morgan’s struggle to create a new life, staying one step ahead of a pathological killer, having faith to trust and embrace love. Roping in Miles Jameson to support Morgan with her struggle, sparking honesty and love, binding her with relationships, giving her the confidence to believe in planting roots again, is testament of the fact that there are good and kind people in this world.

Any story by Nora Roberts is always topnotch with narration, plot and incorporating intense research. Peppered with witty dialogues, springing a love story amidst danger, developing relationships and giving characters a chance to create themselves, “Identity” is an extraordinary story
