If you haven’t read Pamela Clare, you definitely are missing some stunning stories and “Tempting Fate” is by far one of her very best works I’ve read of hers.

Book four of her Colorado High Country Series, “Tempting Fate” is the journey of a young woman trying to find her roots, heritage and finally belonging to a community that would be become a part of her life. Victim of a crime when vacationing in Colorado, Chaska Belcourt, the son of a Sun Dance hereditary chief, saves Naomi Archer. As a genius aerospace engineer and a member of the elite Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue Team, Chaska believes in fate and destiny and he was meant to save her from near death.

Having being adopted by a cult family and ruled with an iron control, Naomi has been bound by the walls of the cult. But now recuperating in Chaska’s home, and with his sister Winona lending a helping hand, Naomi truly learns the works of life.

As Naomi heals under the loving care of Chaska, the sparks of attraction consummate the growing love for each other. “Tempting Fate” is a beautifully written multicultural love story, steeped with support and care, friendship and brotherhood, love and passion, family and heritage. Pamela Clare’s depth of detail and knowledge of the Lakota heritage, and her real life experiences give the story charm and reality, enlightening the readers and a pleasure to read this romance.

And the clarity and characterization of Chaska and Naomi must be read to understand their chemistry, their love and the relationship that gives them the courage and strength to make a future.

I like reading series, anthologies and sibling series. Having said that “The Mac Brothers” is a short read with a totally new set of writers I’ve never ever read. Typically it’s difficult to encompass a good plot in short novellas, and some writers are pros and some not so much.

TheMacBrothers-MultipleAuthors-June2017

With this set of authors – Angela Ford, Jennifer Connor, Natalie-Nicole Bates, Tammy Tate, I wish they had expanded a tad bit more to create a better foundation of the characters. As much as I liked reading them, there was definitely a spark missing. As I’ve never read any of their full-length books, I can’t really judge them on this book, but I definitely did enjoy the stories.

The final installment in the Wishing Well Series and will miss the Briggs siblings and the residents of Wishing Well. They have kept us entertained with their warmth care, humor and unconditional love.

SeducingSawyer-WishingWell#7-MelanieShawn-Jun2017

With the oldest Briggs brother biting the bullet and finally giving into the seduction planned by Delilah Turner, with little resistance Sawyer Briggs was more than ready to show Delilah the desire, passion and love he had harbored for her for years.

Delilah is sweetheart of a person, fighting over her insecurities and fears, always a kind and a helping hand, never one to say no to anyone, she steals my heart with her personality and character. Sawyer as the oldest Briggs sibling, taking responsibility and handling the family, helping raise his siblings and supporting his mother, he is the kind of guy any parent would want for their daughter.

Throw in the meddling citizens of Wishing Well along with the family, and Sawyer never stood a chance against Operation “Seducing Sawyer”, which I must say is a sweet success!

I’ve always been amazed with the writing prowess of the sister writer/author duo of Melanie and Shawna. Their writing is seamless; their talent incorporated into creating some pretty charming love stories that stokes the hearts of the readers. Reading Melanie Shawn is just loads of fun, followed by tingling sensations, heart palpitations and intense satisfaction of reading a good romance that warms the heart and brings immense pleasure.

And the cover is gorgeous!!!!!!

Donna Grant continues her saga of the “Sons Of Texas”, weaving a plot around the Loughman brothers. The series started off with loved ones murdered and the Loughman father kidnapped. With a conspiracy spanning countries worldwide, the Loughman brothers are brought together to unravel the threat to the world and protect the ones they love.

TheLegend-SonsOfTexex#3-DonnaGrant-Jun2017

“The Legend”, oldest of the brothers and deadliest of the deadliest Delta Force, Wyatt Loughman knows the parties gunning for him and his family, and the deadly Saints hell bent on launching nuclear weapons to harm the human race. But more dangerous is Callie Reed, his forever love and the woman of his heart, and he will kill and get killed to protect her.

A renegade and ultra smart hacker and a trained sharp shooter, Callie Reed needs no protection to save herself, but the heart is all together a different matter. Teaming with Wyatt to bring the Saints down, death stalks them, emotions weigh them down and love gives them the motivation and courage to fight the evil, and she will kill anyone who threatens her only family the Loughmans, be it her own flesh and blood.

Things heat up in Donna Grant’s third book, “The Legend”, as secrets slowly come into the open, betrayal becomes their shadow and friends turn foe. Yet it also brings the entire Loughman family together, as they rally around their loved ones and fight one battle at a time, getting closer to eliminating the Saints.

Donna Grant’s first foray into romantic suspense is just invigorating and brilliant. She delivers with intensity and passion, as the soldiers protect and serve, live to fight for honor and justice and live to fight for the women of their souls. Although each book can be read alone, it would be enjoyed much more if read in sequence as the sub plot flows from the other books, and new characters get introduced.

A five star read and a definite addition to the library!

Violet Duke needs no introduction. A brilliant writer of contemporary romance, if you haven’t read her before, you are missing some ultra charming love stories that get straight the heart. Coming up later this week is book one of her new series Juniper Hills, a new set of characters, their fears, and insecurities, hope and love, a new town of warm and caring people, and what is going to be a captivating series for the readers.

AllThereIs-JuniperHillsSeries#1-VioletDuke

Jack Rowan is trying to get his life back in construction after a stint in prison for a crime he never committed, but made a choice to sacrifice for his brother. A job instigated by his brother takes him to Juniper Hills, and his one and only love since his teens Emma Stevens. A perfect opportunity and yet a scary one to mend the relationship with Emma, and “All There Is” for Jake is patience, perseverance and some luck to get the love of his life back into his arms.

Emma Stevens has made a life for herself and her sister, leaving a past that burned to the ground, yet the guilt of losing her stepbrother to a fire never left her heart. Running a successful bakery and having made a fresh start, coming face to face with the boy next door she had loved and hates, was something that she had ever dreamed. But now thrown into a situation with Jake helping her fix her bakery, “All There Is” left for Emma is to let go of the past and giving this second chance of love giving it a shot.

Every book of Violet Duke’s always seems to give me a glimpse of the author herself. Endurance, hard work and perseverance is the norm of her heroines, as well as in real life and she reiterates the fact that there are so many good people in this world who are kind and helpful, and that all is not lost. With a positive attitude and courage, she pours her heart and soul into these wonderful stories of love, forgiveness, hope and faith.
