InBedWithTheBachelor-BachelorAuction5

Let’s talk Bachelor#5 Jesse Gray, the construction tycoon and the proverbial playboy of Seattle. Roped into the Bachelor Auction, he ends up being bid for Michaela Townsend by her family. He can give amazing dates filled with gourmet dinners and star accommodations but his smiles maybe more expensive than anything else. And Michaela Townsend seems to bother him too much into scowling and feelings that he never wanted to feel.

Michaela maybe rich, independent and engaged, but being stranded with Jesse during a snowstorm brings out feelings that make her question her life and choices. Sparring with each other, trying to keep their hands off each other only makes it even more painful and intense, as the sparks of attraction threaten to consume them. As much as Michaela wants to be “In Bed With The Bachelor”, she’s got some issues that her heart needs to resolve.

Manipulated to be with each other in each other’s company, in a single room, Megan Crane weaves a witty story around Jesse and Michaela. And again love the way these authors have incorporated all these stories in parallel strengths. Another short story that brings a smile and a sigh to the lips.

By the way you can’t get “In Bed With The Bachelor”until March 20, 2015 😉

I’m very picky where paranormal genre is concerned. It took me a long time to initiate myself to read this genre and even now I just have a handful of authors who I read paranormal, and do not venture out. So it is a welcome change to read a brand new author Savanna Welles, and her upcoming book “The Moon Tells Secrets” asked to review by St. Martin’s Press, and I have to admit I was a little skeptical. But it turned out to be an interesting read after all.

Raine is on a constant run along with her 11-year old son, Davey who’s bestowed with the ‘gift’ of shifting, passed on from generations to generations. And now an evil form to eliminate competition and gain territorial rights as per legend is hunting them. Raine ends up with a distant cousin Luna who is aware of what is happening and what may happen. With no choice but to trust Luna, Raine agrees to settle down until things become a little quiet.

TheMoonTellsSecrets-SavannaWelles-Mar2015

Cade is a teacher and mourning the gruesome death of his wife. As Luna’s neighbor, they have a deep sibling and supportive bond that keeps Cade sane from losing himself to his grief. Fate brings him into contact with Raine that sparks attraction and hope that they may make a future together. As he starts tutoring Davey, he comes to know the truth about Davey and wows to protect them. Cade may be Raine’s only salvation, yet the fear of the unknown and that it may harm Cade burdens her with guilt and she makes a decision to leave him and Cade has to come to grips with the truth that his wife’s murder is connected to Davey and Raine.

If you were looking for a gritty, nail biting, and edge-of-the-seat paranormal, then you would be disappointed. But if you want an interesting narration of a family facing distress and trying to accept the ‘gift’ that is creating havoc in their personal lives, then “The Moon Tells Secrets” is just right for you.

Narrated from Raine and Cade’s point of view, Savanna Welles did a very fine job of weaving a story around paranormal, yet keeping it normal. There is no dearth of emotions, sublime passion and the absolute terror that this family goes through as they try to make a normal life. It will keep you captivated, you will feel for their horror and sadness of being targeted, and you will rejoice in their small moments of happiness.

“The Moon Tells Secrets” is a definite magnetic read that will take you on a journey of some amazing legendary stories and keep you reading until the very end.

Alissa Callen’s Wildflower Ranch Series has become one of my favorites in recent times, and I’m so in love with these cowboys and cowgirls as well as Alissa Callen. Each book in the series is a charming love story under the big skies of Montana, people with big hearts, warm relationships and immense support and love.

And into this heartwarming land comes “His Outback Cowgirl” Bridie Willis, Zane’s stepsister. Filled with grief over her father’s death and having no home in the outback anymore, Bridie is at a crossroad in her life. Spending time with her recently found family, all she wants to do is hone her love for photography and put a closure to her grief.

HisOutbackCowgirl-AlissaCallen

Life has dealt Ethan Morgan a few hard blows that had molded him into what he is today, a warm and caring man, open with his love, and his unconditional support for his family. Seeing Bridie stirs feelings that have been buried, yet he feels inadequate for her. Ethan is one of Alissa Callen’s perfect heroes, humble with his imperfections. I loved him for the way he’s tuned into Bridie’s sadness, her desires and her insecurities. I just loved him!!!!

Too short for my satisfaction and yet leaving me with so much happiness and tingles 😉 “His Outback Cowgirl” is another feather in Alissa Callen’s series. There’s no dearth of sentiments and emotions, and you can’t help but fall in love with Ethan and Bridie. Now all Bridie has to do is trust her heart with Ethan and Ethan needs to trust his feelings for Bridie.

Simply beautiful and captivating!!!!

As mentioned in an earlier review, Breah Elise is a new author on the block making her presence felt with her penchant for writing some charming love stories.

“Mistaken Identity” is a short and steamy novella, as Olivia accidentally sleeps with her boss’s brother instead of her boss. As a consultant working for Daniel’s company, she has been attracted to his brother since she’s seen him. As her work comes to an end, her wild side decides to seduce her boss and get it out of her system. Unfortunately Olivia ends up seducing Daniel, and the realization that she is actually attracted and losing her heart to him, shocks her to the core.

MistakenIdentity-BreahElise-Mar2015

Unknown to her, Daniel had been harboring feelings for Olivia since the first time he’s seen her. And when she seduces him, little does he realize that she’s actually thinking it was his brother. With that realization also comes the fact that both he and Olivia are attracted to each other despite the misunderstanding and end up with each other.

But trust is a fragile and expensive commodity and despite loving Olivia, Daniel cannot get over the fact that she wanted his brother first. With a lot of past insecurities where his brother is concerned, Daniel has a lot of hang-ups to overcome if he wants to keep Olivia in his life forever.

A simple love story where Breah brings out the normalcy of a relationship that seems to go nowhere, both fearing to address the elephant sitting in the room, and the final straw that breaks them apart as they try to sort the issues of the heart. Love and trust go hand in hand, and the mind and heart should believe in it for a relationship to see a future. And in the matter of mind and heart, Daniel has an uphill battle to win Olivia’ trust.

Short, steamy and emotional, “Mistaken Identity” is a good read!
