It’s been a very long time since I’ve read Diana Palmer. I remember enjoying her older books so much and her new book “Untamed” caught me off guard. Not that it doesn’t keep you reading, it just was so different from what I remember about her writing.

Untamed-DianaPalmer-Jun2015

Steely mercenary and dangerous Stanton Rourke lives on the edge of danger and away from his childhood friend Clarisse Carrington, with a misunderstanding that they are related. Yet he never misses a beat to save his love or face death to keep her protected. But once the truth comes out that they are not related, Stanton woos his Tat to the end of the world and are ready to get married.

Clarisse has been a through a lot and survived repeated death and is all ready to make a future with Stanton. Unfortunate circumstances tear them apart, leaving Clarisse pregnant and Stanton facing amnesia. As death shadows Clarisse, Stanton unwittingly ends up being her savior, yet with no memory of their relationship.

“Untamed” is definitely an interesting read. It reminded me of a Bollywood movie in certain places, yet it keeps you captivated to the end. Diana Palmer’s magic is just as enchanting as I remember. I’ve always liked her in depth characterization and the intensity of her love stories.

A good and hot summer read!

Rebecca Zanetti needs no introduction to the realm of writing. Be it paranormal, romance, her stories are a reader’s pleasure. With amazing creativity and in depth detail, her heroes and heroines are loaded in sin, passion and love.

WickedRide-RealmEnforcers1-2015

A spin-off of her infamous Dark Protector Series, the “Realm Enforcers” are extension of a community with intent to serve and protect, paranormal and human. Book one of the series “Wicked Ride” kicks off the series with a resounding clash between the strong and stubborn cop, Alexandra Monzelle and the sinfully talented witch Kellach Dunne.

A painful and deathly past motivates Alexandra to become a cop, to serve and protect. Her mission is to get to the bottom of a powerful and deathly drug Apollo making the rounds and killing the innocent. Unknown to her of the Realm residing in Seattle, she crosses paths with Kellach and steals his heart and soul.

Kellach is dropped into the midst of a drug raging groups, working undercover to put a stop to the powerful drug at root level. Working undercover as part of a vicious motorcycle club, his first encounter with Alexandra has him saving her and falling for her hard.

“Wicked Ride” is just that – pure wicked in narration, witty and charming in its evil and danger, trust and friendship in the midst of betrayal and angst, Kellach and Alexandra are just pure kick-ass warriors, meant to be mates for the rest of their lives. And Rebecca Zanetti what she does best – write amazing and dazzling stories to bring pure reading pleasure to her readers!

This is a brilliant and fascinating ride into a new series.

Samantha Chase is quite the romantic writer and her stories are just fun, utterly delicious and supremely lovable to read. Simple stories, filled with love and romance, family and nurturing and a health dose of charisma and dazzle, they fill our hearts with warmth and happiness.

TheWeddingSeason-June2015

Her latest stand-alone novella “The Wedding Season” is just that – another charming story of two wonderful people brought together by matchmaking and meddling family.

Tricia Patterson and Sean Peterson have been best friends since high school and are looking forward to the weddings of their friends and hanging out with each other. But then fate and circumstances bring Ryan Peterson to Tricia instead and sets into motion a beautiful journey of romance and love.

Ryan’s always had a thing for Tricia and now with both of them attending weddings together as a couple ignites the spark between them into fireworks of passion and love. And it is yet to be seen if Tricia can finally have her own wedding or will misunderstandings break them apart?

Fun, witty and utterly charming, “The Wedding Season” is another adorable love story from Samantha Chase, and true to her writing prowess and creativity, is another gem of a read.

All it takes is “Minutes To Kill”, minutes for a situation to become deadly, minutes to become a witness from an innocent bystander and just minutes to become a target to be killed.

The second book in the Scarlet Falls Series by Melinda Leigh brings corporate attorney Hannah Barrett back home to Scarlet Falls with a killer right behind her heels. What was supposed to be a few days of vacation for Hannah turn into a nightmare with two killer brothers hell bent on seeing her dead for trying to help a teenager from being forced into sex trade.

MinutesToKill-ScarletFalls2

A cry for help from the very same girl she wasn’t able to help, brings her face to face with Detective Brody McNamara, her attraction, her apprehension and her lust. Having helped her family when her brother and sister-in-law were murdered, Brody has become a trusted member of the Barrett family. And seeing Hannah only brings out the spark, the respect and love he has for her and with killers on the spree in Scarlet Falls, he would do anything to keep Hannah and her family safe and protected.

I love the simplicity of the story, as a small incident becomes a threat to an innocent civilian. It could happen to anyone, and the repercussions of the incident bring out the strong dimensions of family support. It becomes a foundation to face some insecurity, overcome a few fears, and in the process become a stronger individual.

Melinda Leigh continues the saga of the Barrett Family in Scarlet Falls, as they try to come back as one unit to deal with the aftermath of the murder of their sibling and an ailing father with dementia. She does a brilliant job of giving the story the co-existence of danger and presence of family bond. The romance between Brody and Hannah is sublime and is a perfect pen as is the characterization of Brody and Hannah. Two strong individuals, independent yet dependent on each other, with strong belief of justice and family, Brody and Hannah will win the hearts of the readers.

“Minutes To Kill” can be read as a stand-alone, but I would highly recommend readers to start with “Hour Of Need” (where it all started), to enjoy the following books to the fullest

The fourth book in “The Purgatory Series”, Cynthia Eden finally gives us Eric Pate, the devil to reckon. Being the Director of the special FBI Para Unit is no mean task nor is it a bed of roses. Comprising some of the most powerful paranormal with abnormal powers, the Para Unit’s job is to keep the innocent safe and the evil paranormal behind bars in the Purgatory.

Being the Director leaves no room for Eric Pate to neither make mistakes nor lose control of himself. Always on the hunt to contain evil, he would go to any lengths to keep his family safe and his secret buried forever. But then fate brings him face to face with Ella Lancaster, his prisoner, his answer to questions, his downfall and his one and only chance to put closure to a past that haunts him.

DealWithTheDevil-Purgatory4-June 2015

Desperate to break the chains of imprisonment, Ella Lancaster makes a deal with the devil himself to help him in his mission, and at the same time keep her powers a secret. Tortured and starved to harness her powers to keep evil alive, she has a score to settle and a traumatic past to forget. Yet Eric brings out the best in her with a hope for being loved for who she is and protected for life.

As Eric and Ella give into their burning desire, Ella’s past comes striking Eric to the ground and awaking the beast sleeping inside. With powerful magic at play, and Eric in the grips of death, Ella is the only one who is standing between life and death. And will Ella’s gamble of life to save Eric; can she survive to live the future with her mate?

Cynthia Eden needs no introduction and her paranormal stories are just brilliant and fascinating to read. “Deal With The Devil” is a fine art of Eric and Ella. I’ve always admired Eric, his secrets and his control of everything and Cynthia does a stupendous job with his character and his story.

Words can’t do justice to the story and the many questions that rise about humans and paranormal co-existing in the world. Shouldn’t live and let live be the norm of life? At least that’s what Ella hopes for…and so do I.
