I don’t recall reading Carol Marinelli before, but “Bound To The Sheikh” is one of the most surprising, captivating and well written reads I’ve read in recent times. Transcending boundaries and continents, this is an emotional and charming story of a widow, finding second love and a passion that seems boundless.

Having lost her invalid husband very recently, Emily finally gets back into her profession as a corporate flight attendant, a career that she enjoys a lot. But having tended to her invalid husband for the past eight years, she has lost herself in the pain and tribulations of taking care of him until his death. And now finally she wants to let go of her past, and enjoy the colors of life that just seems to be on the horizon…and the horizon delivers Sheikh Ashim, Crown Prince of Alzaquan.

BoundToTheSheikh-CarolMarinelli-May2015

Sheikh Ashim, the charming prince, the heartbreaker and the ultra savvy, super rich soon to be king, is totally taken in by Emily and her beauty. Wanting to leave his playboy days behind and find a wife, Emily seems to fill his heart with happiness and warmth that he wants to have forever. But with cultural boundaries and customs becoming a hurdle, Sheikh Ashim needs to play his cards well to please his father and make Emily his wife.

Carol Marinelli has done a fabulous job crafting a beautiful story of Emily as the widow trying to move on with her life, and embrace the moments of companionship and passion that has been missing in her life. There are so many instances in the story that touches your heart and makes you feel the pain and insecurities that Emily is feeling. And Ashim, despite his royalty is a smooth gentleman and has enough empathy and love for Emily to lend an ear and shoulder, and ultimately bound Emily to him, forever.

A definite lovable, charming and passionate read!

Don’t recall if I’ve read Linda Lael Miller before, but “The Marriage Season” was a captivating introduction for me to her Brides Of Bliss County Series.

It’s great that “The Marriage Season” can be read as a stand-alone and having read this now, I need to go back and read about Becca Stuart’s two best friends, Hadleigh and Melody and their love stories.

TheMarriageSeason-LindaLaelMiller-May2015

Gosh!!! I fell in love with Becca Stuart the minute I started reading of her. Having lost the love of her life to war, she puts all her energy and time in growing her fitness business. Mature, loving, kind and ever helpful, family means a lot to her and has her being supportive of her sister and her problems. Her friends keep her grounded even as she shoves the guilt and fear of love under behind the walls of her heart. But Tate Calder brings back that yearning, companionship and love that’s been missing in her life.

Tate Calder is trying to set roots along with his two sons. Having lost his wife and raising his sons alone, he wants to give his family stability and lay a foundation of love and support. Bex fits the bill perfectly but Tate’s got his job cut out to convince Bex that she is the one he wants to have a forever with, and that life is all about taking risks and living in the moment.

A heart-warming story of friendship, love and family, Linda Lael Miller gives us two exceptionally great characters in Bex and Tate, as they try to work through their fears and insecurities, and build on the passion and love they have for each other. With witty banter between the two, the amazing chemistry of enjoying each other’s company, and the seductive narration by Linda, “The Marriage Season” is a beautifully crafted love story.

The third book in the Loveless and Dunn Series brings Mallory Reynolds back home to Magnolia Bay. Taking a break from the startling revelation of her pseudo writer image of erotic fiction, Mallory comes back to her supportive family, her first love and the warmth of Magnolia Bay.

ForgetMeNot-ErikaMarks-May2015

Josh Loveless has been holding a candle for Mallory forever it seems and puts the separation and anger to good use by opening the store of his dreams, with is passion for rock climbing and outdoors. With Mallory in town, it brings back some old pain and with Mallory being an erotic writer has Josh on rocky ground.

“Forget Me Not” is a short story filled with charm and simplicity. Josh and Mallory are lovable and good together, and Erika Marks does a fine job of holding her readers with interest and enough romance to bring smiles and happiness.

A super sexy and hot set penned together by some of my favorite writers, “Hot Alphas” will leave you melting and panting for more!

“Erin’s Kiss” leaves ex-marine Tate wanting more and possess Erin forever. Working undercover, CIA operative Erin is on dangerous ground from an unknown enemy and very close to losing her heart to Tate. Intense, passionate and sizzling, Lora Leigh keeps her readers on the edge and captivated.

Jaylene is an independent and feminist, refusing to be commanded by a man. Yet when she meets her hot and nerdy neighbor Noah, her very soul craves the demands and dominance of her guy. “misTaken” by Laurelin McGee takes Jaylene on a path of discovery of herself and the secrets that may end the relationship between her and Noah. Interesting read.

Shiloh Walker is one of my all time favorites and her stories are always intense, dark and seeping in emotions of pain and passion. Ali loves Turk and has forever and she wants more than been friends with benefits. Turk is battling past demons that stop him from committing to Ali and her sons. When Ali puts a break in their relationship, Turk has to decide if Ali’s love is worth letting go of his past pain and forgiveness may be his only salvation. Another story sizzling with deep pain, love, acceptance and forgiveness.

Kate Douglas in “Tangled” leaves Nate and Cassie tangled in a web of instant attraction that burns the sheets, and danger that threatens Cassie’s life. Taking over Tangled Vineyards from Cassie, Nate wants to keep the former wine-maker and owner close to his heart. Kate Douglas weaves a sweet love story with a hint of mystery to keep her readers charmed and captivated.

This set is a definite worthy read.

Even Shifters have problems of love, especially when the alpha male is stubborn and pig-headed like Ryan. In the next installment of the Moon Shifter Series, “Protective instinct”, Katie Reus gives her ever-protective hero the fear of his life, as she throws his mate Theresa into danger.

ProtectiveInstincts-KatieReus-MoonShifter

Theresa and Ryan may have accepted their feelings for each other, but the stubborn alpha holds back the ultimate mating due to his painful past. Frustration leads to arguments and barriers and a revengeful vampire has Ryan rethinking his idiotic behavior of keeping Theresa at an arm’s length. A threat to Theresa’s life brings out Ryan’s protective instincts and the separation and fear of losing is mate gets his head out his rear to claim her forever.

Intense, steamy, and passionate, “Protective Instinct” is a short novella in the series that leaves us with the satisfaction of reading another charismatic story of Katie Reus’s creative and mesmerizing paranormal. And I’ve never been disappointed with her writing prowess, and she is a master at keeping her narration enchanting and captivating.
