Laura Griffin is one of my super favorite suspense writers that have bewitched me with her amazing Glass Sister series and the Tracers Series.

ShadowFall-TracersSeries#9-LauraGriffin

It’s hard writing a review for a thriller without giving away spoilers. It’s always a pleasure to revisit her amazing characters of this series as they keep making appearances in the various stories. And as the Delphi Center and the Wolfe Security co-exit and crossover, it only adds an element of suspense and danger to this series, making it even more irresistible to avoid and just get caught up in the danger and evil surrounding these characters.

Book nine of the series, “Shadow Fall”, Laura Griffin brings Special Agent Tara Rushing and ex-marine security expert Liam Wolfe together as they investigate a murder. With Liam right in the middle of the investigation, Tara has her work cut out for her – to prove his innocence and also guard her heart from breaking.

Another chilling and twisted story of evil and death, love and danger as Liam and Tara race against time to stay alive and bring justice to the fallen. And reviews do no justice to Laura Griffin’s thrillers!

I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance. A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for. He said one that would make me his wife. ~ Author Unknown ~

Samantha Chase is fast becoming a maestro of romance stories as she breathes life into characters that her readers can relate to – from the Montgomerys to the Shaughnesseys with attitude and life partners with sass. She builds each character with care and details and that is one of her best skills as a prominent writer.

Her latest release “Friday Night Brides” is a testament to that very fact of caricaturing four friends from kindergarten to adults, as they go through the growing pains, being part of each other’s lives, crying and laughing with each other as they create their own individual lives. As different as chalk and cheese, these four friends have become each other’s rocks as they flew through life.

Angie, Becca, Ella and Hayley are not only friends for lifetime; they also have been modeling for Hayley’s mother’s Enchanted Bridal, from flower girls to brides now. And this very adventure since childhood has give roots to dreams of their own weddings and their partners for life, as they find their own Happily-Ever-After. Sean, Max, Dylan and Jackson complement these dazzling Friday Night Brides!

“Friday Night Brides” is just not a romance story. It gives an insight into the dreams of young adults, the trials and tribulations of relationships, breakups and heartaches, support and family, and the insecurities and uncertainties of loving one person for a lifetime. And add in the drama of extended family and few glitches that life always seems to enjoy throwing in our faces, this book is a dazzling read.

Placing four characters in a story is no easy job, and Samantha Chase managed to create magic with Angie, Becca, Ella and Hayley, giving them their own identity and individuality. With a fabulous storyline and brilliant narration, Friday Night Brides makes us wish for friends and dreams as these four wonderful and lovely ladies.

Catherine Bybee is one of the most beautiful and entertaining writers I’ve had the pleasure of reading and re-visiting several times. Her new series “The Most Likely To” series stars three childhood friends and their lives, as life takes them on different paths, and yet they all come to a crossroads where they converge and support each other through the touch times. Sometimes, friends are all the family we need, as Bybee says.

The pioneer of her new series, “Doing It Over” brings Melanie Bartlett back home to River Bend, along with her seven year daughter to do just that – do her life over leaving a bad and obsessive relationship behind. Coming home to her childhood friends Jo and Zoe is a safe haven as she regroups and tries to build a new life. Meeting the resident building contractor Wyatt Gibson is an added motivation and support of her new beginnings.

Catherine Bybee has an amazing talent of interlacing romance, suspense and danger that the narration flows as smooth as silk. Melanie and Wyatt have been caricatured to perfection – independent, stubborn, courageous and protective. Hope as the adorable, mature and spunky seven year old reminded me of my younger daughter! Miss. Gina as the kickass owner of Miss. Gina’s Bed-And-Breakfast is a reading riot and will be a standing fixture in this series for sure.

Another charming and captivating read from the effervescent Catherine Bybee!!!

Samantha Chase started off her new series “The Shaughnessy Brothers” with a bang as the first Shaughnessy brother Aidan finds his forever with Zoe in “Made For Us”. And “Love Walks In” right into Hugh Shaughnessy’s heart and he had no ammunition to fight his feelings for Aubrey Burke.

LoveWalksIn-Shaughnessey2-SamanthaChase

Hugh Shaughnessy lives by rules, schedules and itineraries that have no room for changes nor does he let time slip his control. He can’t handle change nor does he see the benefit of others not respecting time and schedules. And for this Shaughnessy, Aubrey Burke is an uncontrollable and unpredictable dilemma that makes him question his attitude. She lives on instinct, thrives on making personal connections and time and schedules are not on her list of living her life. She is a bane to his sanity and he is sexy trouble on a watch for Aubrey.

There’s plenty of humor and passion, charm and dazzle, but what stands out for me in “Love Walks In”, is Samantha’s prowess of setting Hugh apart from his brother Aidan. Each sibling molds to the loss of their mother in different ways. Guilt and responsibility makes them create lives that they now in live, with a hope to atone the guilt of being responsible for her death. Each character has been caricatured with so much detail and dynamics that reading their stories is pure pleasure.

Just as “Love Walks In” for Hugh and Aubrey, they walk right into my heart as one of the sweetest couples that would be on my favorite list.

Well the Cedar Ridge Kincaid brothers sure know how to keep get their women and to come home to love, support and family. And Jill Shalvis sure does keep her readers glued to every page as she weaves heartwarming love stories and giving the Kincaid brothers their happily-ever-after endings.

Jill Shalvis finally brings a Kincaid brother Jacob Kincaid back home – to a family he left a long time ago and to a brother that pride and anger had left him standing alone. With things gone wrong in a mission and losing a brother in arms, Jacob wants some down time and bridge the rift that had caused pain to his loved ones. Sneaking on Sophie Marren and falling for her was never in his eyesight.

NobodyButYou-CedarRidge-JillShalvis-Mar2016

Going through a messy divorce and re-building her life on a boat hiding in the dark, was not what Sophie Marren ever thought her life would be like. But with nothing to her name and trying to make ends meet does not deter her glass half full attitude in life. She may be at her wits end, but she sure has thing or two to teach Jacob about life and it being half full.

Sparks fly, attraction ignites and love blossoms. Sophie finally finds her calling of becoming an event manger for Cedar Ridge, and a foundation in the love of her life. Jacob finds himself mending fences with family and deepening the roots that he had wanted for a long time.

Another captivating story of family and love, loss and forgiveness, second chances and redemption, “Nobody But You” leaves the readers with warmth, the essence of family and friends and the ties that bind us to relationships.
