I’ve always liked reading Jane Porter and her charming love stories. They are sweet, emotional, fun – all ingredients that make them worthy reads.

TheTamingOfTheBachelor-Sheenans4-JanePorter-Jun2015

Sexy and nerdy Dillon Sheenan and the pretty and widow Paige Doffe make an ultra sweet couple as they explore the sparks of attraction that defies age. Dillon always had a sweet spot for Paige, yet kept his distance due to the age difference and her marriage. But now the field is open, yet he hesitates, as he’s ready to leave Marietta for good.

The responsibilities of being a single mom and keeping her diner going, leaves no time for anything, no matter how tempting Dillon makes it. Yet she cannot deny her attraction for him or keep from losing her heart to him. Paige is just a wonderful person, working hard, kind and never pushes Dillon or expects anything in life, but is grateful for what she has and nothing more and nothing less.

“The Taming Of The Bachelor” will give you the laughs with the tears, the pain with the love, the insecurities with new chances and a couple that realize they are meant to be together.

“One Night With The Cowboy” and I am totally enchanted!!! This is definitely one of those books that will leave you with so much warmth, love and fun!! Loved the bond between the brothers, their conversations, wit and wisecracks are enjoyable and the entire situation and story just leaves the palette satisfied, yet wanting more.

Book two of the Whiskey River Series is all about Trey Kelly, the eldest of the Kelly brothers, and the consequent books will tell us the stories of the other brothers, and of course looks like their intended partners may have come up in this book.

OneNightWithTheCowboy-WhiskeyRiver2-EveGaddy-Jun2015

Successful and millionaire in his own right, Trey Kelly gets the shock of his life when he realizes that his dead father has two more sons and they are forced to live together under one roof for a year per his will. And in the midst of this situation, Trey finds himself falling for the Lavender farm lady and chemist Ariana Wright.

Ariana Wright comes back home after an accident that scared her physically and emotionally. A successful chemist as well as a business owner running her own line of products, she’s become a recluse and now has to face off with Trey for a piece of land that is require for her business. Having a crush on Trey doesn’t help her situation and as they both give into their feelings for each other, her fears of disfigurement and insecurities hold Ariana back from making a commitment.

This is one of those off-hand books that is a super sweet surprise package of romance and family and I am so glad I read it. It was just plain enjoyable and wonderful! It’s just the way Eve Gaddy narrates the story and for a short novella, she did a fantastic job developing characters, including the brothers. Loved the get-to-know-the-brothers around the pool table and it was so very well placed and versed. Same with Ariana and Trey, as she created magic between them and the progress of their love story was just so charming and irresistible.

Eve Gaddy and the Kelly brothers sure made quite an impression with me, and have me hooked!! I am so looking forward to reading the other brothers’ downfall into love…and I guess the characters are already in play.

Another first for me reading Louisa George and her international bad boy Rex Doyle is trying to go on the path of the good. Surviving an abused childhood, he becomes an ultra savvy and successful businessman owing casinos. Ex-fighter and wanting to leave that life behind, he works hard, plays hard and is an alpha with a big heart.

ADealWithTheDevil-Lousia George

Kate has lost a lot in life, and she seems to have lost herself to avenging her brother’s current situation, and the author lost Kate’s character somewhere along the story. I unfortunately could not relate to Kate and her predicament. The plot was too thin and the build-up lacked interest. Rex had more background and development and he turned out really well. Kate on the other hand, just did not have enough grout to match Rex.

‘A Deal With The Devil’ is a short novella that can be read once. Although it held interest for me because of Rex, and of course the presentation and narration was pretty good, it just lacked the oomph and pizzaz of the female character.

I don’t recall reading Carol Marinelli before, but “Bound To The Sheikh” is one of the most surprising, captivating and well written reads I’ve read in recent times. Transcending boundaries and continents, this is an emotional and charming story of a widow, finding second love and a passion that seems boundless.

Having lost her invalid husband very recently, Emily finally gets back into her profession as a corporate flight attendant, a career that she enjoys a lot. But having tended to her invalid husband for the past eight years, she has lost herself in the pain and tribulations of taking care of him until his death. And now finally she wants to let go of her past, and enjoy the colors of life that just seems to be on the horizon…and the horizon delivers Sheikh Ashim, Crown Prince of Alzaquan.

BoundToTheSheikh-CarolMarinelli-May2015

Sheikh Ashim, the charming prince, the heartbreaker and the ultra savvy, super rich soon to be king, is totally taken in by Emily and her beauty. Wanting to leave his playboy days behind and find a wife, Emily seems to fill his heart with happiness and warmth that he wants to have forever. But with cultural boundaries and customs becoming a hurdle, Sheikh Ashim needs to play his cards well to please his father and make Emily his wife.

Carol Marinelli has done a fabulous job crafting a beautiful story of Emily as the widow trying to move on with her life, and embrace the moments of companionship and passion that has been missing in her life. There are so many instances in the story that touches your heart and makes you feel the pain and insecurities that Emily is feeling. And Ashim, despite his royalty is a smooth gentleman and has enough empathy and love for Emily to lend an ear and shoulder, and ultimately bound Emily to him, forever.

A definite lovable, charming and passionate read!

The third book in the Loveless and Dunn Series brings Mallory Reynolds back home to Magnolia Bay. Taking a break from the startling revelation of her pseudo writer image of erotic fiction, Mallory comes back to her supportive family, her first love and the warmth of Magnolia Bay.

ForgetMeNot-ErikaMarks-May2015

Josh Loveless has been holding a candle for Mallory forever it seems and puts the separation and anger to good use by opening the store of his dreams, with is passion for rock climbing and outdoors. With Mallory in town, it brings back some old pain and with Mallory being an erotic writer has Josh on rocky ground.

“Forget Me Not” is a short story filled with charm and simplicity. Josh and Mallory are lovable and good together, and Erika Marks does a fine job of holding her readers with interest and enough romance to bring smiles and happiness.
