Samantha Chase started off her new series “The Shaughnessy Brothers” with a bang as the first Shaughnessy brother Aidan finds his forever with Zoe in “Made For Us”. And “Love Walks In” right into Hugh Shaughnessy’s heart and he had no ammunition to fight his feelings for Aubrey Burke.

LoveWalksIn-Shaughnessey2-SamanthaChase

Hugh Shaughnessy lives by rules, schedules and itineraries that have no room for changes nor does he let time slip his control. He can’t handle change nor does he see the benefit of others not respecting time and schedules. And for this Shaughnessy, Aubrey Burke is an uncontrollable and unpredictable dilemma that makes him question his attitude. She lives on instinct, thrives on making personal connections and time and schedules are not on her list of living her life. She is a bane to his sanity and he is sexy trouble on a watch for Aubrey.

There’s plenty of humor and passion, charm and dazzle, but what stands out for me in “Love Walks In”, is Samantha’s prowess of setting Hugh apart from his brother Aidan. Each sibling molds to the loss of their mother in different ways. Guilt and responsibility makes them create lives that they now in live, with a hope to atone the guilt of being responsible for her death. Each character has been caricatured with so much detail and dynamics that reading their stories is pure pleasure.

Just as “Love Walks In” for Hugh and Aubrey, they walk right into my heart as one of the sweetest couples that would be on my favorite list.

Last man standing Adam Baudouin finally falls for the girl-next-door-everyone’s-friend Harper Owens, in the fitting finale of Marina Adair’s Heroes Of St. Helena Series. I enjoyed each love story of the Baudouin brothers and their tryst with their sassy heroines. Needless to say that this series was my first read of Marina Adair and she’s warmed into my heart with her charming and captivating stories.NeedYouForMine-StHelenaHeroes-MarinaAdair

Harper Owens needs Adam Baudouin as much as he needs her for himself. What starts off as pretend relationship to save her lingerie store and get him a promotion, both Harper and Adam never saw the fire that ignites between them. Their chemistry is hot, connection is soul deep, and the empathy and caring they have for each other takes them by surprise. Throw in a generous dose of wit and family meddling, you’ve got one sexy read of a romance.

Harper is just this colorful, ultra sweet and an amazingly good person, and Adam compliments her with his protective and helpful, the imperfectly perfect hero for his heroine. “Need You For Mine” is a dazzling narration and writing prowess of Marina that keeps the story interesting and brings a chuckle as Harper and Adam muddle through relationship to get their happily ever after.HeroesOfStHelena-MarinaAdair

From “Need You For Keeps” to “Need You For Always”, to finally “Need You For Mine”, Marina weaves heartwarming stories of the Baudouin brothers, considered as the Heroes of St. Helena.

Laura Griffin’s new Alpha Crew series starts off with a bang and a crash, leaving the readers “At The Edge” (Part 1), of a precipice as Emma Wright and Ralph Owen try to survive the dangers of the Philippines jungle as well as the guns that seem to chase them.AtTheEdge-AlphaCrew#1-Part1-LauraGriffin-Mar2016

In the first part, Emma survives her plane crash and is rescued by the secret and special elite Alpha Crew. But as she tries to uncover the conspiracy within the forces, Emma ends up in the path of danger. Partnering with Ralph brings them closer to heart, yet at the same time they come close to the edge of death as part one leaves us with a cliffhanger as Emma is kidnapped.

“Edge Of Surrender”, part 2 has Ralph and his teammates racing against time to save Emma from the jaws of death and bring out the main perpetrator responsible for the plane crash and the death of Emma’s boss.

EdgeOfSurrender-Part2-AlphaCrew-LauraGriffin

Laura Griffin doesn’t disappoint her readers as she takes us on a ride of danger and spine chilling race of a lifetime to save innocent people. Thrilling, captivating and adrenaline pumping, Edge Of Surrender is a race of a lifetime for Ralph and Emma if they can survive death to make a future together.

Elizabeth Michels just wrote a fun post for Buzzfeed about what it’s like to be a romance author and how expectations stack up against the reality:

Expectations VS Reality

http://www.buzzfeed.com/elizabethmichels/expectation-vs-reality-being-a-romance-author-28of7

Elizabeth Michels grew up on a Christmas tree farm in rural South Carolina. After tip-toeing her way through school with her focus on ballet steps and her nose in a book, she met a boy and followed him a thousand miles away from home to Kansas City, Missouri, before settling down in North Carolina.

I don’t think any reviews would do justice to Erin Nicholas or Jennifer Bernard for their writing prowess. Unless their books are read, the full impact of humor, passion, romance or their characters can never be understood or enjoyed to the fullest.

“Getting Wound Up” is a crossover romance written by Erin Nicholas and Jennifer Bernard stretching from Sapphire Falls to the Love Between The Bases Series, just as witty, emotional and romantic. And it’s written in a three-part book.

GettingWoundUp-ErinNichols&JenniferBernard

Eli Anderson put his dream of becoming a baseball player on the back burner to help his father run their hardware store after his stroke. Caitlyn Murray wants to make sure Eli gets his turn on the mound, no matter what. With all good intentions, with family and friends in support, Eli heads off to make his dream come true, but he wants Caitlyn more than anything.

And so starts the tryst with baseball, with his heart missing Caitlyn and Caitlyn being the ever-supportive girlfriend. “Getting Wound Up” is so much more than just a romance. The choices and circumstances that lead to actions affecting loved ones, as Caitlyn and her brother come to terms with the changes in their lives. As Eli gets past his fears and insecurities, he is yet to make a decision whether baseball is his life or Caitlyn is his forever.

There is no dearth of emotions as everyone try to move past their fears and insecurities. Yet amidst all this is the circle of friendship and family, support and love that gives strength and courage to move forward.

Erin’s Sapphire Falls Series is a brilliant set of love stories – magical, charming and dazzling! Now if Erin Nicholas has our hearts “Getting Out Of Hand”, our libidos “Getting Worked Up”, with minds “Getting Dirty”, imagination “Getting It All”, and readers “Getting Lucky”, I don’t think we can ever be “Getting Over It” – this fascination for Sapphire Falls and it’s citizens!

And getting “Caught By…” Caleb to “Drive You Wild” to revisit Jennifer Bernard’s hot alphas between the bases only tingles “All Of Me” – and these two writing a romance together is a riot!
