Book three of the BOSS INC Series; “Into The Firestorm” is my favorite of the series so far. Mr. Bounty Hunter, Luke Brodie meets Ms. Bounty Hunter, Emma Cassidy.

IntoTheFirestorm-BossInv#3-Jan2017

Two fiery individuals, brought together by a common evil, Luke and Brodie work together to bring justice to the victims. A bit more edgy, a tad scary and a lot more sizzle and passion, Luke and Emma go one hell of a ride to catch Rudy Vance before he can destroy another girl’s life and the only way to get Emma’s family back together.

Luke Brodie is one of Kat Martin’s brilliant characters with his deadly hunting skills as well as loving skills. With a dangerous mob gunning for Emma and with the fear of losing his heart to her, Luke would become a monster in his wake to keep Emma safe.

Emma Cassidy’s only motivation in becoming a bounty hunter is to get rid of evil like Rudy Vance who destroyed her family. Having Luke as a partner is a godsend as well as a bullet to her heart. Matching step to step with Luke, and holding her own against any threat, Emma will sacrifice everything to bring her family together.

With the Brodies and inmates of BOSS Inc. making appearances, and with secondary characters giving sustenance to the story, Kat Martin weaves another dazzling romantic suspense that enthralls the readers in her latest, “Into The Firestorm”.

Jessica Lemmon is growing on me as her book three of her Billionaire Bad Boys Series, pits retired marine Eli Crane against the stubborn and beautiful Isabella Sawyer, as they work day in day out to test the sparks of attraction that seems to between them.

Loosing a part of him in the war, leaves Eli damaged mentally and physically. Having his brothers convince him to run the Crane Hotels is not up his alley yet, as he tries to find himself in setting up a foundation for injured vets. Insurmountable task, yet he can’t seem to give control to his assistants as they leave him high and dry, monster that he is!

Isabella has to make sure she keeps the Crane business to expand her contacts and get recommendations, Leaving a family and money that suffocates her, she opens her own employment agency and is a kick ass at it. And she sets herself as Eli’s assistant, a stubborn, tenacious and hard working lady against the damaged, stubborn monster of the Crane clan.

“The Bastard Billionaire” is actually my favorite of the three so far. Isabella is one tough cookie and they make a perfect partnership as they go through fears and insecurities, relationships and family dynamics. A perfect read for a romantic at heart, well written by Jessica Lemmon.

This series just gets better and better as each of the “Opposites Attract”, fall in love – irrevocable, irreversible and irresistible!

If I thought “Completely Yours” was one of Erin’s finest writings, “Forever Mine” surpasses beyond that and more. Maya Goodwin is by far Erin’s crowning glory – strong and courageous, witty and tenacious, aggressive and stubborn, never for a second would she hesitates to step in front of danger to save a person. And Dr. Alex Nolan never saw her coming with her swords and boa!

forevermine-oppositesattract2

Cautious and a planner, Alex Nolan doesn’t know what to do with Maya and the instant attraction that sizzles at first sight. His entire life goes on the wind, as he tries to bond with a daughter he never knew he had, battling a rare medical issue, and his constant want for Maya. Keeping the two parallel is a losing battle.

Between the martial classes and sword swinging, between the pages of galactic history and boa classes, and between the passion and lust that sizzle the bed sheets, “Forever Mine” is pure orgasmic read!

Kudos to Erin Nicholas’s creativity and imagination as she weaves these stories in and around superheroes, paying special attention to the chemistry and emotions among the players, keeping the characters down to earth and normal, with enough layers to charm the readers.

Again, some books are beyond reviews and need to be read to enjoy every scene, every emotion and every word and Erin Nicholas’s books are just that.

I’ve read Anne McAllister before and she writes some nice and charming love stories no doubt. “The Cowboy And The Kid” is actually one of her better works than others.

thecowboyandthekid-tanners-annemcallister-jan2017

Written from the point of view of a 7 year old, interwoven between Jones Taggert and Felicity Albright, “The Cowboy And The Kid” is really a charming love story as Becky tries to set her rodeo cowboy Dad with her teacher. Becky wants a mother and who better than her favorite and pretty teacher.

Taggert and Felicity try to resist each other against all odds as people throw them into each other’s paths. Between teaching Felicity bull riding and she warming her way into his heart with her kindness, resilience and persistence, it’s not too long before these two fall for each other and make one kid damn happy.

Anne McAllister did a pretty good job with this story and I actually enjoyed reading it. Taggert and Felicity did take their own sweet time getting together, but the narration kept it interesting along with the supporting characters and a glimpse into the world of bull riding.

Rachel Lacey, since her first book, has been one of my feel-good-go-to authors that I adore and love reading. Her new series, “Risking It All” had a rocking start with a short story “Rock With You” (Carly and Sam’s love story), and the actual series started off in the little town of Haven with “Run To You” and now the latest coming in March 2017, “Crazy For You” will have Emma Rush riding the wild side of Ryan Blake.

crazyforyou-riskingitseries2-rachellacey

Her last name may be Rush, but she is one good girl that everyone wants to be friends with. But Emma Rush wants to shake things up, and who better than to Ryan Blake to take her on the wild side of Haven. With the dreams of getting the degree that she never had a chance to do, and owning her own landscaping business, Emma wants to have a few wild days before she leaves Haven. Her attraction to Ryan only sparks her friends to dare Emma into having a fling with him.

Ryan Blake always had Emma in his heart since he arrived in Haven, and Emma’s persistence to have an affair with no strings attached only spurs his attraction and want to be the person to explore the wild side with her. Teaching her rock climbing, spending time with her, being supportive of her getting a tattoo, only deepens his feelings for her and scares the hell out of him.

But then this is the wild ride of love, and these two people crazy for each other have to figure out their deeper fears to have their happy ending. What I like about Rachel Lacey’s writing is her ability to be so eloquent with feelings and situations. The appearance of Ryan’s brother is as surprising and perfect as is his closure with Emma’s brother and his promise to take care of her. The placing of supportive characters, the banter and chemistry among the friends and the resident so Haven is a perfect blend of romance and pleasure to read, “Crazy For You”.
