Rachel Grant’s “Evidence Series” continues to enthrall the readers with its intensity, excitement and power play of politics across continents.

Book five of the series, “Covert Evidence” takes the unsuspecting underwater archeologist Cressida Porter into a world of danger, terrorism and death that has her running for her life. And covert CIA operative Ian Boyd is hot on her trail, as she becomes the suspect of carrying evidence that may prove disastrous to a lot of super rich people in various countries.

CovertEvidence-Evidence5-RachelGrant-May2015

A simple planned and scouting trip turns into a dangerous game of hide and seek as Cressida tries to comprehend the situation she has been thrown into unwittingly. With Ian guarding her and saving her life one too many times, she has the daunting task of keeping her wits as she decides if Ian Boyd can be trusted.

All Ian had to do was secure the target and the evidence that Cressida was supposedly carrying. He never anticipated the flare of attraction or the desire to protect Cressida at the cost of his mission. And love definitely was not part of his mission. And yet love and trust becomes an expensive weapon that takes him to the edge of death. With betrayal coming in from the inside, Ian has his job cut out, with his career on the line and the Cressida’s life in his hands.

“Covert Evidence” is my favorite in the series so far. I loved Ian with his quiet demeanor yet pulsing with energy and fire. He had so many layers of emotions that were peeled at every turn on the run. Rachel Grant does a great job with his character; I couldn’t help falling in love with him, and the same with Cressida. Her courage, her tenacity and her trust in Ian gives her an aura of strength. Loyalty to her friends and her willingness to fight for her love and friendship makes her even more alluring and brave. And the chemistry and teamwork between Ian and Cressida is sizzling and plain hot.

Another first for me reading Louisa George and her international bad boy Rex Doyle is trying to go on the path of the good. Surviving an abused childhood, he becomes an ultra savvy and successful businessman owing casinos. Ex-fighter and wanting to leave that life behind, he works hard, plays hard and is an alpha with a big heart.

ADealWithTheDevil-Lousia George

Kate has lost a lot in life, and she seems to have lost herself to avenging her brother’s current situation, and the author lost Kate’s character somewhere along the story. I unfortunately could not relate to Kate and her predicament. The plot was too thin and the build-up lacked interest. Rex had more background and development and he turned out really well. Kate on the other hand, just did not have enough grout to match Rex.

‘A Deal With The Devil’ is a short novella that can be read once. Although it held interest for me because of Rex, and of course the presentation and narration was pretty good, it just lacked the oomph and pizzaz of the female character.

No matter how many times I say, it still would not do justice to this super sumptuous, utterly delicious and sizzling love stories that would leave us breathless and sheer pleasure. Talk about brilliant talent under the sky, coming together to make this an irresistible read – Violet Duke, the sister duo of Melanie Shawna, Bella Andre, Melissa Foster, Erin Nicholas, Carly Phillip, Lauren Blakely, Sawyer Bennett, Jessie Evans and Crista McHugh.

And if I start reviewing each book, it would run pages ;). So I’ll try to stick to a condensed version of some the ones I’ve read so far and with no order of preference –

LoveLaughterSteamyEverAfter-Release-May2015

Can’t Help Falling In Love by Bella Andre: Book 3 of the infamous Sullivan family and Bella’s crowning glory, Gabe Sullivan rescues Megan Harris and her daughter from a fire and loses his heart and soul to these two beautiful ladies. A sweet, charming and sizzling romance that we can’t help falling in love with.

Out Of Bounds by Erin Nicholas: Part of the Boys Of Fall series that is a standalone, Jackson Brady returns to Quinn, TX to help his ailing high school coach and falls out of bounds with his one time nemesis Annabelle. Old hurt and past love, embers of passion still sparkling between them, Jackson and Annabelle set our hearts on fire.

Love, Tussles And Takedowns by Violet Duke: Book 3 of the Cactus Creek series, Violet Duke charms the pants off her readers with her delightful story of Hudson Reyes and Liana Lin. Ex-combat military veteran meets the arms and martial arts dynamo and what we get is a barrel of fun, laughter, love and the unconditional support and strength of family and community.

Dare To Desire by Carly Phillips: Book two of the Dare Series, Carly Phillips fires up her writing a notch as she throws quarterback Alex Dare into the path of Madison Evans. Retired early due to an injury, the chip-on-a-shoulder Alex is drawn to his past with Madison, as she struggles to keep him at arm’s length. They sizzle, they charm and they leave us wanting more of them.

Falling For The Wingman by Crista McHugh: This was the first book of Crista McHugh’s that I read and was utterly taken in by the savvy tomboy Alex Leadbetter, who gets turned on by cars, and the only other person who can twist her insides is Air Force pilot Caleb Kelly. And Caleb is hell bent on getting this sister to be his side forever. Book 3 of the Kelly Brother Series, the Kelly brothers are a force to reckon with and you’ll fall on love with Jasper!!!!

Actually Love by Melanie Shawn: What can I say about this sister duo. They write sinful love stories and their Crossroad Series is just as popular as them. Book 7 of the Crossroad Series, Actually Love brings PR Jessie Sloan and sculpted boxing champion Zach Courtland under one roof as they fake their relationship for mutual reasons. But living together, love actually lands a hard punch and knocks their hearts out. So can they put their insecurities and fears outside the ring and be together forever? Alluring and an endearing love story of romance and meddling Sloan family.

And I’m sure the other four books by Melissa Foster, Jessie Evans, Lauren Blakely and Sawyer Bennett are equally captivating, delightful and utterly delicious (yet to finish the rest). I’ve read their books before and they have been on my list of favorites for a while now.

Love, Laugher And Steamy Ever Afters is worth the weight in gold!

The Brodies continue to heat up the cold Alaskan winters!

The third in the trilogy of “The Brodies of Alaska”, the oldest Brodie brother Rafe has his job and time cut out for him as he fights for his love and tries to survive the evil lurking in the Alaska wilderness.

AgainstTheTide-Brodies3-May2015

Olivia Chandler has left behind a life of death and has escaped to the wild Alaskan state by the sheer determination. Changing her identity and self, she immerses herself in running the “Pelican” and staying low. Keeping to herself and staying out of Rafe’s radar gets tossed out when one of the locals gets murdered and the fear of her dangerous past comes kicking to her present. Now she has to keep herself alive and try not to fall in love with Brodie to keep him safe.

Rafe Brodie runs a successful charter business and when his first mate ends up dead, he gets into the thick of things trying to find the murderer. Giving him company in this search is the beautiful and aloof Olivia Chandler. There’s intense attraction and undeniable chemistry that brings them together. But Liv’s secrets may keep Rafe away or their love for each other may give the courage and strength to face the danger together, as one unit.

There is no doubt that Kat Martin writes some of the most interesting and captivating romances with mystery and her characters are ultra protective, super savvy and always fighting for justice. I love Rafe and Liv the best of the trio so far. With her inner strength, courage and kindness, she is the perfect partner for Rafe, the ex-water search and rescue alpha, with a kind heart and a supportive friend and citizen.

Another fascinating story of suspense and romance, evil and death, love and forever, “Against The Tide” will keep the readers engaged and thrilled!

Don’t recall if I’ve read Linda Lael Miller before, but “The Marriage Season” was a captivating introduction for me to her Brides Of Bliss County Series.

It’s great that “The Marriage Season” can be read as a stand-alone and having read this now, I need to go back and read about Becca Stuart’s two best friends, Hadleigh and Melody and their love stories.

TheMarriageSeason-LindaLaelMiller-May2015

Gosh!!! I fell in love with Becca Stuart the minute I started reading of her. Having lost the love of her life to war, she puts all her energy and time in growing her fitness business. Mature, loving, kind and ever helpful, family means a lot to her and has her being supportive of her sister and her problems. Her friends keep her grounded even as she shoves the guilt and fear of love under behind the walls of her heart. But Tate Calder brings back that yearning, companionship and love that’s been missing in her life.

Tate Calder is trying to set roots along with his two sons. Having lost his wife and raising his sons alone, he wants to give his family stability and lay a foundation of love and support. Bex fits the bill perfectly but Tate’s got his job cut out to convince Bex that she is the one he wants to have a forever with, and that life is all about taking risks and living in the moment.

A heart-warming story of friendship, love and family, Linda Lael Miller gives us two exceptionally great characters in Bex and Tate, as they try to work through their fears and insecurities, and build on the passion and love they have for each other. With witty banter between the two, the amazing chemistry of enjoying each other’s company, and the seductive narration by Linda, “The Marriage Season” is a beautifully crafted love story.
