Solitude, Oregon has been in solitude too long, and so why not just stir up some evil, betrayal and death. The Rogue Winter Novellas start off with Melinda Leigh taking us back to Solitude and the people fighting for justice and protecting the innocent.

TracksOfHerTears-RogueWinter1-MelindaLeigh

We have left Solitude as Seth and Carly finally accept that they love each other too much to put an end to their marriage. As they work out the kinks in this second lease of their relationship, the death of Carly’s brother’s girlfriend tests their fragile bond. Seth is determined to bring justice to the dead and Carly gives her everything to keep the orphaned baby safe and secure.

Co-written by the author duo Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot, the Rogue Winter novellas get off to deathly winter start. It’s always wonderful to re-visit characters from the previous stories to see their continuation after HEAs. And it’s absolutely fabulous to read romantic suspense written by Melinda.

Short and quick, captivating and arresting, “Tracks Of Her Tears” is a fast read of suspense and romance, love and relationships, support and solidarity.

For the uninitiated or new readers, this series would be a great start to get to know two wonderful authors/writers.

This is my first read of Michele Dunaway and her first book in the Man Of The Month Series; “Fan The Flames” is an interesting read. And the man of the month Brad Silverman will definitely flamed my heart!

Brad Silverman is an ex-Navy SEAL and now a fireman in St. Louis and is entrusted the tough job of taking care of his partner’s widow. A difficult job indeed considering that he’s always loved Scarlett for the longest time and now the responsibility of her and her little daughter falls on his shoulders, to keep his promise to his dead friend.

FanTheFlames-ManOfMonth-MicheleDunaway-Sept2015 returns to St. Louis to start fresh after he husband dies in the line of duty, and renting Brad’s home throws them together everyday. As they re-connect, so do their hearts and the attraction lurking in the shadows can’t be ignored any longer.

This is Brad’s story all the way. He is one of the most admirable heroes I’ve read in a while. With kindness and humility, hard work and caring, patience and supportive, he takes care of Scarlet and her daughter. Even as guilt rides him for losing his partner, he is man enough to address them and tries hard to overcome. Michele Dunaway did a super fine job creating Brad Silverman to his perfect imperfection. I just loved him.

“Fan The Flames” will keep you interested and Michele Dunaway does a good job with narration and creating a good love story. I hope she gives a bit more strong and interesting caricature to her heroines in her future stories.

It’s the season of snow and hot chocolate, hope and forgiveness, family and friends, love and miracles. It’s the season of magic. As the holiday season comes around, so do the Christmas romances written by some my favorite authors and leading this season for me is Samantha Chase’s “Christmas in Silver Bell Falls”.

A heroine averse to Christmas and all that it represents and a hero who thrives in the festivities of the season and his belief in the kindness and humanity. Two wonderful people, poles apart in beliefs, but brought together by circumstances and some careful planning.

ChristmasInSilverBellFalls-XMasNovella-SamanthaChase

Author/Writer Melanie Harper has so many bad memories tied with Christmas during her childhood years, that even as an adult she just can’t seem to let go of pain and forgive her past. But then an inheritance from an unlikely source takes her to the magical town of Silver Bell Falls, and to Josiah Stone.

The upright and sexy Sheriff of Silver Bell Falls, Josiah Stone falls hard for the new visitor in his town. He makes it his mission to show the wonders of Christmas and the kindness of people. He brings her into contact with the beautiful people of Silver Bell Falls, their care and kindness, their friendship and support, and in the process trust and love.

A wonderful read perfect for the holiday season. A simple love story as two people learn to give each other the trust and the foundation of a future. A simple narrative of a story, Josiah and Melanie take a place in my heart as they overcome pain and insecurities. Samantha Chase creates some wonderful supporting secondary characters and she does what she’s good at – weaving a winter wonderland of romance.

The duo sisters of Melanie and Shawna have been one of my all time top favorites and have read all their books; the Sloans being one of their most sizzling and charming creations to date, closely followed by the Hope Falls Series. And to date Hope Falls continue to home some amazing love stories – Something in the air for sure 😉

LuckyKiss-HopeFalls12-MelaneShawn-Oct2015

Book 12 in the series “Lucky Kiss” tames another the MMA alpha Lucas Dorsey as he falls for the fiery firefighter  Bad boy and all Lucky is on a break from MMA and where better to get plenty of R&R than Hope Falls. There’s magic in the air, romance in the wind and the citizens of Hope Falls sure know how to match-make unsuspecting people.

As they get to know each other, Lucky and Deanna have a multitude of insecurities to overcome. As they give into their sparks of attraction, painful pasts become an obstacle to a relationship. But then with the help and support of a wonderful family, the unconditional support of extended family and friends, and with the past making peace with the present, Lucky and Deanna just have to have their HEA.

It always gives me immense pleasure to read this sister duo of Melanie and Shawna as they continue to tease the readers with heartwarming love stories and amazing characters, who are just perfectly imperfect! What I love about their stories is the ease of their narration filled with so much humor and charm. I want a good love story to brighten my day, give me warm fuzzies and make my heart flutter, then Melanie Shawn it is for me.

Meet the “Montana Rogue” Tucker Montgomery. Sexy and charming, kind and protective, his dance moves makes your heart go wild, and all he wants is to zip into Amanda Heller’s life and make her, his own.

MontanaRogue-BigSkyMavericks7-DebraSalonen-Sept2015

Coming to Marietta to help renovate her grandmother’s home, Amanda Heller ends up been housemates with Tucker. From a New York to Marietta sure is two ends of the spectrum, but Tucker makes it one heck of a temptation to go wild.

With childhood insecurities plaguing them, Tucker and Amanda take a risk with their hearts to give us a good romance. Witty banter and a simple narration makes “Montana Rogue” a fun filled read, and the good characterization of Amanda and Tucker gives our heart the satisfaction of reading a sweet love story.

Debra Salonen weaves another Big Sky Maverick story under the beautiful skies of Montana, and around the characters that have charmed us with their very own love stories. And the cover is one of the most endearing ones I’ve seen!
