I’ve always enjoyed reading the “Mine Series” by Cynthia Eden, and her new addition to the series, “Mine To Have” is no exception. With a lot of twists and surprising revelations, Cynthia does an amazing job of bringing the past into the current to a new future, all the while holding a tight grip on the storyline, and does not even falter for a second.

Saxon Black has been working undercover for years for the FBI, and it reaches a point where he forgets who the real Saxon Black is. His final assignment before he quits the world of undercover is to rescue a hostage and wash off his hands and walk away to a new life waiting for him.

Easier said than done! Saxon barges in to save Elizabeth Ward and ends up with feelings he’s forgotten he had. Elizabeth Ward has no idea there is a contract out on her head, and that she should have been dead along with her parents, a couple of years ago.

The danger and the adrenaline keep Saxon and Elizabeth in close proximity and they end up falling for each other and saving each other’s lives. One of the reason I love Cynthia Eden’s writings is that no matter how short or long her books, she always manages to create a good character sketch. She tends introduce them in the previous books and we get a glimpse of what’s coming ahead and already have a rough outline of their personalities. I, for one love that it adds more depth and individuality to her characters

Mine To Have is a rollercoaster ride of betrayal within the law enforcement; secrets buried deep and the true identity of Elizabeth Ward. It is a passionate ride of lust and love, possession and jealousy and evil and good. Mine To Have (and Mine Series) are stories of relationships built through hearts, friendships cemented with unconditional trust and protecting families and their own with every breath of their beings.

Just when I think how can Cynthia Eden top her previous paranormal romance, she comes out with a fireball that takes us on fiery ride of unbridled passion, evil as dark as midnight and defiant paranormal who would burn the very ends of earth to protect their mates.

Cynthia Eden’s latest release, “Playing With Fire” is the third (maybe the final) in her Phoenix Series and what read it is! Dante the Immortal is pitched against Cassie Armstrong the Siren and we get a deadly combination of fire and control!

As the daughter of a father who is the ultimate evil to hold a scalpel, Cassie has a lot to redress. In the name of research, her father experimented and created soldiers of mass destruction with the mix of various paranormal and their DNA, unbalancing the very cycle of life and his daughter was not spared either. Cassie wants to correct the wrong and save the good from being devoured by the evil and she needs Dante to make it happen.

PlayingWithFire-Pheonix-Aug2014

Dante is a mass of fire, an Immortal who can rise from the dead again and again. Devoid of any emotion and feelings, memories lost to many deaths he falls to, tears from a heartless Immortal may be the only cure for the virus on a rampage. But Dante shedding tears is not on the agenda and neither is him been drawn by the sweet voice of Cassie.

Fighting the evil dogging their backs, giving into the passion raging between them, Cassie and Dante are on the run leaving a ball of fire in their wake. Dante brings to light the reality of Cassie’s power and Cassie helps Dante remember that he has a heart and sometimes sacrifice is essential to save a normal human being. It is wonderful to revisit the previous powerful paranormal and their quest for finding a cure and peace to live a normal life among the mortals. And the epilogue was icing on the cake! Almost had me in tears….

Playing With Fire breathes down your neck, makes your heart beat faster, gets your adrenaline pumping and chills racing your veins. I don’t think anyone can beat Cynthia Eden in her writing of paranormal romance.

You can say I’m biased, partial or plain one-sided, but in my opinion Cynthia Eden writes the best paranormal that I’ve ever come across.

Vampires, Demons, and all the other known paranormal is known to exist among us. Just like us humans faced with the good, the bad and the ugly, so does the paranormal realm. And the evil is sent to Purgatory, a place where the evil of the evil are prisoned forever.

Cynthia Eden’s second release in her Purgatory Series, “Marked By The Vampire”, takes us up close and personal with Shane August, an FBI agent and Dr. Olivia Maddox. Shane is one of a kind, super powerful vampire working undercover to infiltrate Purgatory to bring light to strange and dangerous experiments being conducted. Olivia is sent on the ride to study the reason some vampires turn deadly versus others who remain good.

The clash of a vampire and a jinnh is a magical thunderbolt and the mating of these two is astronomically addictive. Even as Shane and Olivia try to discover the evil behind Purgatory, betrayal and unknown forces are at play trying to burn these two to ashes. Olivia struggles to find herself and accept her identity and Shane puts his life at stake for the love of his life.

With all the adrenaline and evil surging on Purgatory, betrayal and double-crossing in play, lust and passion weaving its magic around Shane and Olivia, surviving seems to be just out of a finger’s reach and the beast within is waging a victory.

Another outstanding creation from Cynthia Eden!!!! Non-stop action, unpredictable situations, desires as dark as the night, lust as thick as fog and trust put to the ultimate test, this is one book you don’t want to miss.

Cynthia!! Lady of the Eden

Wickedly First, Sinfully second,

Intriguing heroes she creates

Mine to take, keep, hold ‘n crave

Villains in murky shadows live

Die, fear ‘n scream for me

Into the dark damsels go

In deadly fear, heat ‘n lies

Angels come in bounded

Thru midnight, immortal ‘n eternal

Into the land of the purgatory

Vampires, shifters ‘n demons galore.

A phoenix burning rises

Playing with fires ‘n fangs

Good against the evil

Into a land of paranormal I go

Chained and marked for life.

Happy Birthday to a wonderful lady who gave me my first taste of paranormal par excellence and have never looked back. Wishing you a super fab day filled with love, family and friends ❤

And the burn continues……fangs sink into flesh…..control and lust at its ultimate……blood humming in the veins…..explosive and hot!!

Cynthia Eden’s latest release, “Once Bitten Twice Burned” in her Phoenix Fire Series, sure fanned my flames of paranormal interest and the uncontrollable urge to read and read more. Ryder and Sabine turned out to be such intense and mesmerizing characters, their story sizzled with passion and chemistry.Image

How can the coming together of a Vampire and a Phoenix not entertain us to the fullest? Meeting as experiments in the crazy Wyatt’s laboratory Genesis, Sabine gets thrown into Ryder’s cell as his meal! And amidst the bloodthirsty lust of a vampire and the burning desire of a phoenix in transition, Ryder and Sabine try to beat all odds to survive Wyatt’s super crazy experiments as he tries to build the ultimate fighting soldier. I so fell in love with Ryder and Sabine – so full of betrayal and pain, old hurt and memories, trying to accept their new regeneration. Along with mind-blowing satisfaction, their sadness and hurt was so palpable. And yes people even paranormals have a heart and feelings!

Like I had mentioned in my previous article, Cynthia’s paranormal books were my first introduction to “Paranormal 101’. I’ve never read an author, whose books narrate a story with such intensity and authority in the words, lust and passion in action, control and power in dominance and have never looked back! What really amazes me to no end is her depth of creativity. Her stories are imaginations of urban fantasies with the existence of paranormal in our daily lives. Her in depth research and her amazing ability to come with such fascinating fiction is no tall order. I sure would like to get into her brain for one day!

ImageThe “Phoenix Fire Series” should be read in sequence (in my opinion) to follow the storyline and characters. Her first book in this series, “Burn For Me” introduces us to Genesis and Richard Wyatt, his subject 13 aka Cain O’Conner and Eve Bradley. I was fascinated with Cain and his character, as much as I was totally flabbergasted with Wyatt’s history and his crazy experiments.

With the first two books, it looks like the destruction and Genesis has been controlled, but who knows what more can happen in this crazy world of paranormal as Dante and his Cassandra try to come to grips with each other. Now this is another story for another time.

Regeneration and not rebirth! Love her books!!
