The little town of Sweetwater Springs has seen its share of evil and death. Amidst the shadows, the series also saw the sage of the McKinnon family and Calder family coming together but on opposite ends of a murder that their mother is being put on trial. Relationships have gained, trust has been birthed and the murderer revealed along with secrets that have been buried for long.

This series ends with FBI Agent Seth Calder caught in the middle of the drama along with his family adversary, the annoying Shelby Braddock, the very daughter of the man murdered that put his mother on trial.

ALawman'sJustice-SweetWaterFinal-Aug2015

Shelby wants to get to the bottom of the murder that rocked her childhood and her nosing around puts her life in danger. Seth is hell bent on keeping Shelby alive for his own peace of mind and not to mention that he’s fallen for her hard. With bullets flying and secrets coming into light, both Seth and Calder have a battle on their hands to save themselves and that of their family members.

Sizzling with romance and pumping with danger, “A Lawman’s Justice” takes us to the conclusion of the series. Delores Fossen keeps the suspense going until the very end, keeping us enthralled and captivated. It is wonderful to re-visit the siblings as they all rally together to keep their family safe. With trust questioned, danger at every turn, and evil manipulating until the very end, the story keeps adrenaline going and heart beating fast.

Will miss this series for sure.

Fool’s Gold is making way to the Mitchell Brothers and their love stories are sure to enthrall and mesmerize us. Susan Mallery writes some ultra sweet romances and Fool’s Gold is one of favorites as I follow the trials and tribulations of wonderful people meant to be together.

ThrillMe-FoolsGold-Jul2015

Once young lovers promising each other the moon and the stars Del Mitchell and Maya Farlow go their separate ways, only to have fate bring them together in the charming town of Fool’s Gold. Thrown together to work on a marketing project, they rediscover themselves as well as realize that their feelings for each other have never faded. Proximity takes them between the sheets, attraction sends sizzles between them, love burns in their hearts and insecurities and trust hold them back from a future that’s meant to be theirs.

Maya and Del are two characters created with an immense depth of character, strong and dependable, independent and supportive, yet leaning on each other as the past hurt fades away to a promising relationship. It’s always wonderful to revisit characters from the previous stories and bringing Zane, Phoebe and Chase just adds more charm and entertainment.

Another emotional and charming story by Susan Mallery, “Thrill Me” brings out the dynamics of a family with too many secrets and regrets among them, and a love that faces the challenges of trust and the fear of heartache and loss. Susan Mallery weaves another sweet story as she introduces the Mitchell brothers, with their many gripes and issues yet showing unconditional love and support when needed.

Christie Ridgeway is relatively a new author on my list that I’m enjoying reading. She packs quite a punch of emotions and some heartwarming narration of romance and love. And I “Can’t Fight This Feeling” to read more of her books!

Can'tFightThisFeeling-CabinFever-ChristieRidgeway-June2015

Angelica is trying to rebuild her life Blue Arrow Lake after her father drains her and several other investors off of their life savings in a Ponzi scheme. Working in a hardware store, no home to go to and desperately trying to find her bearings, she runs into Brett Walker, the guy who’s been giving her sleepless nights.

Brett Walker runs his own landscaping company, and is very protective of his hometown and his sisters. And now Angelica is bringing out feelings that he has buried a long time ago. With the war behind him but the demons still chasing him, Brett wants nothing more than to stay away from Angel Face. But circumstances bring Angelica as his neighbor and he ends up fighting a losing battle with his heart.

Christie Ridgeway has a way of drawing her characters with depth and soul. Angelica as the lost and brave woman, fighting to love herself and gain confidence sure brings a lump of sadness. With dialogues that twist our hearts, and passion to sizzle the sheets, she does a super fine job of creating a story of love, support and courage.

A definite good read for its immense strength of narration and emotions, “Can’t Find This Feeling” will touch your heart.

Another addition to her series of Fool’s Gold, Susan Mallery is roping in cowboys and city girls to charm her reads. “Kiss Me” brings city girl Phoebe Kitzke to the charming town of Fool’s Gold and the sprawling ranch run by Zane Nicholson.

KissMe-FoolsGold17-SusanMallery-Jul2015

With her real estate license in jeopardy of being revoked, the pretty and always helpful Phoebe decides to take a break. She is sweet, smart and a sucker for helping the needy with a gigantic heart of gold, spending time in the country and conversing with animals seem to fulfill her and make her happy. And with one hot cowboy giving her the looks, she hopes to find a person who can care about her.

Zane Nicholson has his life and hands quite full with his charming, nerdy and troublesome brother who lands him to run a cattle drive. He really has no time for a woman, but Phoebe sure makes him question his priorities and what he wants in life.

“Kiss Me” is utterly captivating, deliciously romantic, deeply emotional and makes you feel for the characters and the secondary characters. I loved the way Susan incorporated them into the main story, a sub-plot within the main plot, as she explores human feelings and failings, adoption and fears, insecurities and anger, and the sweet strings of love, family and support.

Susan Mallery is as always supremely charming, simple and beautiful with her narration.

Lust, fantasies, romance and love – “The Billionaire’s Fantasy” of Javien Rodriguez gets more than he bargained for when he decides to have a one-night stand with Louise Jensen. With a past tainted with street gangs, death and prison time, Javien has made himself into a power-house of running JR Shipping and making more money than he ever dreamed of yet, nothing can erase the guilt of his past.

TheBillionairesFantasy-ForbiddenSeries3-KateHewitt-Jul2015

Louise Jensen has her own demons to fight yet she can’t seem to resist the magnetism of Javien. As wild as the sex is and fulfilling fantasies that she never would have dreamed of, her abusive past stops her from opening herself completely to Javein or make any commitments.

Despite the hang-ups, both can’t seem to stay away from each other. Temptation is stronger than fears, want and need for each other above insecurities and the lure of having someone to care for bring Javien and Louise together.

This is as good a story as it gets. Kate Hewitt shows her writing prowess when she created Javien and Louise as two broken characters with a turbulent relationship. Independent, strong and stubborn, they annoy each other to the point of breakup. Kate keeps the emotions and fears of these two above all as she explores the relationship filled with desire and love.

Of all the three books of The Forbidden Series, this is definitely my favorite and Javien holds a special place with me. Captivating and sizzling, “The Billionaire’s Fantasy” is another captivating read.
