Seems like forever I read Cynthia Eden, but it’s been only a few weeks ago I read her Purgatory Series, and now the latest in her “Dark Obsession” Series leaves me in the wake of a passion that refuses to die and a past that threatens to defy the very existence of Ethan Barclay and Carly Shay.

BewareOfMe-CynthiaEdenCarly Shay has been through a horrific trauma and has come out on the other side, but lost the love of her life Ethan Barclay to evils of the world. Yet when he comes face to face with her, there is no denying the passion that exists between them or the revenge of a past that haunts them to death. Ethan will lay his life down for Carly and Carly will go through hell to save Ethan from destroying himself. Two lives tied by death and an obsessed killer wanting blood to avenge his demons – adrenaline pumping and spine chilling!

Cynthia Eden leaves no room to take a breath as she continues the saga of the Dark Obsession series. Bringing back the kick-ass characters from her past stories to laying the foundation for another kick-ass story, only adds more sizzle and fire to an already intoxicating story of lust and revenge.

The synopsis sounded great, the cover was romantic, unfortunately the story lacked depth and character. The second book in The Palmera Royals, “The Royal Affair” is lackluster in its narration and failed to dazzle me with its royalty.

TheRoyalAffair-PalmeraRoyals2-JaneBeckenham-June2015

The premise of the story is actually really good. A royal princess with beauty and charm, Marina Palmera is smart, independent and super successful running her own thriving horse racing business. She falls in love with the successful horse whisperer Jonas Wilder but circumstances break them apart. And now fate brings them back together for a second chance.

As good as the story line may be, if the characters are not developed properly, it’s hard for a reader to relate to them or be with them. For all their success and individuality, I just couldn’t relate to Jonas and Marina or the way the story developed or was narrated. Neither was I very impressed with the journey to their happily ever after.

But I definitely believe Jane Beckenham has lot of potential and I hope with every book, she reaches success. With good grasp of language and creativity, it is only a matter of time for her to become a good writer, and I may circulate back to her.

Christie Ridgeway is relatively a new author on my list that I’m enjoying reading. She packs quite a punch of emotions and some heartwarming narration of romance and love. And I “Can’t Fight This Feeling” to read more of her books!

Can'tFightThisFeeling-CabinFever-ChristieRidgeway-June2015

Angelica is trying to rebuild her life Blue Arrow Lake after her father drains her and several other investors off of their life savings in a Ponzi scheme. Working in a hardware store, no home to go to and desperately trying to find her bearings, she runs into Brett Walker, the guy who’s been giving her sleepless nights.

Brett Walker runs his own landscaping company, and is very protective of his hometown and his sisters. And now Angelica is bringing out feelings that he has buried a long time ago. With the war behind him but the demons still chasing him, Brett wants nothing more than to stay away from Angel Face. But circumstances bring Angelica as his neighbor and he ends up fighting a losing battle with his heart.

Christie Ridgeway has a way of drawing her characters with depth and soul. Angelica as the lost and brave woman, fighting to love herself and gain confidence sure brings a lump of sadness. With dialogues that twist our hearts, and passion to sizzle the sheets, she does a super fine job of creating a story of love, support and courage.

A definite good read for its immense strength of narration and emotions, “Can’t Find This Feeling” will touch your heart.

Prince Charming billionaires, sassy princesses, meddling matchmakers encompass the enchanting stories of Melody Anne. Her spinoff series “Unexpected Heroes” from her Billionaire Series, has the town of Sterling sizzling with magic and sweet romance.

Sage Banks is back in her hometown for her residency program and be close to her meddling and matchmaking grandmother. And this move also brings her close to Dr. Spence, her one and only love and has been for ages. Spencer becomes her ER boss adding more stress to her libido and throwing her into a cauldron of emotions.

Spencer Whitman may have saved Sage from an accident, but he couldn’t save his heart from falling for her. Having no clue of her history of infatuation for him, Spencer gets drawn to her, and what started as a challenge soon becomes his passion and dream for the future with Sage.

With Prince Spencer wooing Princess Sage, she doesn’t stand a chance and falls head over heels in love with him. Spence and Sage are just two beautiful people and Melody Anne sure created them with her heart and soul. She writes some of the sweetest and most magical love stories, with enough romance and emotions to keep us warm and enthralled. I’ve read her Billionaire series and have re-read them a few times.

Can’t wait for Cam and Grace to find their happily-ever-after.

I’ve been waiting a while to read Hawk’s and Dawn’s very own happy ending and Rebecca Zanetti doesn’t disappoint at all. Of all the books in her Mavericks Montana Series, my favorite will always be Against The Wall, and her latest “Over The Top” comes a very, very close second.

Dawn Freeze has been in love with Hawk Rain forever, and Hawk has been harboring dreams of making a life with Dawn. But the danger of his covet life keeps him away from her, and Dawn gives him the space to make up his mind yet tempts him to make up his mind or lose her forever.

OverTheTop-Mavericks-RebeccaZanetti-July2015

With intense lust and passion raining between them, hell will freeze over before Hawk lets Dawn slip away from his arms. As sparks intensify, they burn the sheets and they let love consume them. Even as danger lurks around the corner, Hawk lives up to his name of protecting Dawn.

What makes this story stand apart is Rebecca’s writing prowess of wit and humor. This is one of the most fun books that I’ve read as her supporting characters are a riot of laughs and chuckles. I mean who can argue with the Lady Elk Secret Archives of nailing a man and his love, with its insight into the ploys and toys that can be used!

And how can we not fall for these alpha mavericks as they go to no ends to protect their loved ones, even it means to act like crazy teenagers. And don’t forget their sexy and sassy partners who keep them on their toes.

The Freeze family is just a wonderful clan of loving and charming members, with strong family values, morals and unconditional love and support for each other. “Over The Top” left me with so much laughter and dazzled me to no end; a story that I will definitely revisit.
