The story was worth the wait!!! I was ecstatic when I heard that Trigger was going to get his own story and “Escape To You” is just as brilliant story as the relationship between the DEA Agent Beck “Trigger” Cooke and the renowned actress Ashley Swan.

Kidnapped and tortured by a supposed friend, Ashley Swan escapes the clutches of her tormentor along with his abused son Adam, as a beacon of a light takes her to the boundaries of Trigger’s ranch. Recuperating from injuries of an undercover op gone wrong, saving Ashley and protecting Adam becomes his first priority compromising his identity to the cartel and jeopardizing his job as a DEA agent.

“Escape To You” is one heck of a story of a courageous woman finding the strength to escape her captor and moving forward with the help and support of good people. It is the story of a kind and big hearted Ashley Swan, as she rights the wrongs done be her captor and giving some powerful people a second chance at life. And it is the story of a wonderful and brilliant actress who wants to give a little boy the happy life he deserves and a father the chance to right some wrongs.

Escape To You” is also the story of a DEA Agent surviving the evil and cruelty of undercover operations, of a man wanting to make the world a better place to live and of a brave man to expose himself to the various cartel to stand beside the woman he loves and the little boy he wants to be a father to.

What fascinates me about Jennifer Ryan is her immense ability to create a heroine so different from each other in every one of stories. With courage, loyalty and strength, being the common foundation, every one of her heroines has a story so filled with pain, betrayal and hurt that reading each one of them makes us question the evil that exists in this world yet gives us hope that there is good to counter this evil attack and faith that honor exists.

For the uninitiated, the Montana Heat Series follows the Montana Men Series and every book can be read as a standalone. I have to repeat this in my review – “Call me biased, but in my opinion Jennifer Ryan writes one of the most brilliant and romantic suspense stories that I’ve ever read. “The Hunted Series” always is going to be my chicken soup for the soul, having lost count of the number of times I’ve read that series.”

You don’t want to miss this Montana Man getting burned by Montana Heat!

Call me biased, but in my opinion Jennifer Ryan writes one of the most romantic suspense stories that I’ve ever read. “The Hunted Series” is always going to be my chicken soup for the soul, having lost count of the number of times I’ve read that series.

For the uninitiated, The Montana Men Series takes us to the Bowden brothers, Gabe, Blake and Dane, the brothers of Caleb (married to Summer Turner) from The Hunted Series, and yes Caleb and Summer have their own story (All I Want For Christmas Is A Cowboy). I love when the stories have cross over characters from various books. And the Montana Men Series is set before the Hunted Series.

Running away from New York after witnessing the murder of her twin sister, millionaire Ella Wolf ends up on the snowy roads of Montana, bruised and injured, trying to get to her family ranch, leaving behind an evil uncle trying to kill her. Ella ends up in Gabe’s arms as he rescues her from dying and takes her into his protective folds. Her only goal is to bring justice to her sister and put her uncle behind bars forever.

Gabe Bowden is starting fresh after his injuries at rodeo circuit, and ends up buying Wolf Ranch to run his cattle breeding business. Meeting Ella and realizing that his business plans are going down the drain, doesn’t deter the sparks of attraction that flare between Ella and Gabe. As Gabe learns the truth about Ella, he stands by her to help and support despite him losing his money to her evil Uncle.

Jennifer Ryan’s heroines are just pure sassy, kick-ass and courageous to the core. And her heroes are not any less alphas, protective and supportive of their women. Her romances have just the right blend of love and danger. Every single story of hers leaves me with renewed hope and warmth, that every evil person is balanced by at least four good people. There are people like Gabe and Ella, who have empathy and compassion for others, helpful and hearts as big as the Montana skies with immense love and trust.

“At Wolf Ranch” (Montana Men, Book 1) is another brilliant story steeped with love and passion, laced with secrets and danger, touched with warmth and trust, a perfect fusion of suspense and charm captivating the hearts of the readers.

Received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

The third in the McBride Series, “Dylan’s Redemption” is another brilliant creation from Jennifer Ryan. A story of young love gone awry, of lost relations and evil close to home, of second chances and putting to rest the ghosts of a past that had changed lives and causes so much pain and anguish, and of finding love that was meant to be for a future filled with faith and trust.

Dylan McBride and Jessica Thompson had one starry night on their prom day and circumstances take Dylan away from Fallbrook. Jessica ends up pregnant and as her alcoholic father tries to kill her, she escapes without a trace. Everyone assumes she was killed by her father and buried in a place unknown.

Dylan never stopped looking for Jessie and eight years later, returns to Fallbrook as the county Sheriff and hoping to get some answers to Jessie’s disappearance. Jessie’s father dies of a heart attack and she returns to Fallbrook to settle her father’s affairs and finally lay to rest the torment he had caused. Dylan is flabbergasted that Jessie is still alive and he has a daunting task of making sure Jessie understands and believes him that he had never meant to abandon her.

The past comes colliding with the present, bringing fresh pain and hurt. Dylan’s family plays a part in their separation and the pain of losing something very precious for Jessie. Jessie is one strong woman, who with tunnel focus and grit, rises above her loss and builds a successful career in the construction industry, and she was never far from Fallbrook either. Now it is left for Dylan and Jessie to put a closure to their painful past and see if they can make a future together.

Jennifer Ryan writes stories involving some very strong women, and I love her for doing so. She portrays women of great strength and courage who overcome dire circumstances and make a life for them. After Jenna in her first book of her Hunted Series, Jessie is my favorite, with her sheer determination, courage and tremendous focus, to make a second life for her.

There are lot of scenes in the story that brought tears to my eyes and tugs at your heartstrings. Dylan’s Redemption makes you angry towards the ones causing pain, makes you shed tears as Dylan and Jessica talk of their past and what they have lost, makes you happy for them as they try to make a new life, and makes you believe that there are good people left in the world.

Hope, Will and Faith – fabulous symbolism!

Falling For The McBrides

Writing is no easy task. Writing fiction is a different animal altogether and writing to make it easy reading is even more hard work. I always admire people who have the courage to put their thoughts into words, stories into manuscripts and dreams into books. I have immense respect and admiration for all those amazing writers who make it seem so easy to let those emotions flow through their words.

So many times I wish to be like them or just get into their heads to see how their minds work out all these amazing plots that have us panting for more. But then again, they need someone to read all their works right? So I perched myself on the reader’s shelf (much to the angst of my hubby!), a super voracious addict I am, and having a ball getting to know these amazing writers as they cajole their brilliant characters to talk to them, to talk to us!Image

Jennifer Ryan is one such writer and boy I love her to the booties and I adore….adore her!!! I am fascinated with her “Hunted Series” and keep going back to them – again and again and again. This series is by far one of the most scintillating series I’ve read. Even now, I am not sure what it is that had me so enthralled about this series, or takes me back to them countless times. I love her narration and attention to details. It was filled with so much emotion, love and pain that I could feel myself pulled into those characters. Having read the series so many, many times, I am absolutely crazy about Jack/Jenna, Elizabeth/Sam, Cameron/Martina and Morgan and Tyler!

And if that is not enough, now she’s got me hooked to “The McBrides” (Bad Boys) – her new series. First in the series is “The Return Of Brody McBride”.  Bad boy turned decorated army ranger returns to his town and lost love, Rain Evans only to discover, the miniature surprises waiting for him. It was beautifully choreographed with Brody’s issues, Rain’s courage and hope and not to forget the strong bond of family and support. To the McBrides, family is everything and they take care of their own.Image

If falling for the black sheep of the family is not enough, Jennifer’s second book made “Falling For Owen”, the sweetest and the easiest thing to happen. Bad boy (brother of Brody), turned attorney Owen McBride overcomes his dark past and becomes an advocate for the innocent. He meets his neighbor Claire Walsh, a bakery owner under unpleasant circumstances and his protective instincts kick in. Loved his ‘I-don’t-beat-around-the-bush’ attitude as he woos her until she bends.

ImageAs for Claire, coming off of a painful and messy marriage, Owen is the guy she wants to run away in the opposite direction. But with the relentless Owen charm turned full on and an unsuspecting killer on their toes, sure made it easy for Claire – falling for Owen.

Can’t imagine how electrifying “Dylan’s Redemption” is going to be – hooked line and sinker!!!
