Days, weeks and years go by as the cycle of life takes us on a journey of surprises and amazement. Children grow so quickly as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, normal in its function yet eventfully fascinating from light to dark. And in the normalcy of life, we tend to forget the force that gave us the privilege of breath and nurturing, morals and manners, tradition and respect, personality and individuality…. a Mother, a Wife and a Woman.

From the soft and cuddly maroon giraffe with big black kind eyes that chased away the shadows lurking in the dark to the warm and fuzzy blanket that had seen the wrath of my fingers as I created fuzzy balls with it, you taught me the importance of nurturing and security.

One of the fondest memories of my growing years is the pleasure of you reading mythological stories and reading books. And this has become an addiction to me now as I’ve become a voracious reader. I still remember the shelves of books and the stories you both discussed. You made sure I understood the good and the evil, the black and white with shades of gray, and the importance of humanity, morals and respecting life.

Been part of a large joint-family, traditional yet liberal in certain ways, I cannot forget your independent streak and wanting to give us opportunities you’ve never had. Be it playing badminton at competing levels or dancing our way to performances, you instilled confidence and endurance, strength and courage to leave home and create our own lives.

Over the years we may have agreed to disagree the turn of events, yet you’ve been my biggest supporter and criticizer that had motivated me to learn from my mistakes and make changes. Miles may be separating us, yet you are not far from my thoughts. We may not see each other often enough, yet you are in my vision all the time. We may not talk, email or text, yet you are always in my mind as I welcome each day with you as my guiding light.

I can’t thank you both enough for the lessons of love, pain, patience and kindness you’ve given me over the years. You have taught me to be humble and be comfortable with my perfect imperfections. And you have taught me that a beautiful mind, heart and soul define a mother, wife, friend and a sibling.

Dear Mom and Mom-in-law, you both have made a tremendous impact in my life and I just wanted to say that without you, I don’t think I would be the woman I am today. Even now, I can’t even dream of comparing myself to your powerful personalities and the sacrifices you may have made, but I sure hope that my children feel proud of me as I am, of being your daughter and your daughter-in-law.

Thank you!! Thank you for your trust, for your influence, for your unconditional love and never ending blessings!!!!

A grateful daughter and daughter-in-law with immense love for her mothers!

I’ve never read Hal Rappaport and when given a copy of “Hath No Fury” to review, honestly had no clue what to expect. I am more of a fast-paced paranormal, shifters, demon gods and dragon kings kinda girl, and this story literally put a stop to my fast pace.

HathNoFury-HalRappaport

The story revolves around two childhood friends Amy and Mark, along with Christy later on, as they try to live behind the veil of magik. And as they mature into young adults, they have deal with the evil that lurks in the shadows. Mark’s soul is in danger of being taken over, and it is left to these three to figure out the evil.

Not being my style of book to read, “Hath No Fury” took me a few days to get the hang of it, and a then a few more before I could finish it. As you get into the later part of their growing years, it definitely gets more interesting and keeps a grip on you.

Readers who enjoy slow-paced paranormal, magic and witches will definitely love this story. I found certain parts wordy yet with good narration, great attention to detail and an amazing sense of creativity, does a fine job with “Hath No Fury”. This is book one of the The Lesson Of Three.

Another cute story from Roxanne Snopek’s camp of love stories, “The Millionaire Daddy Project” has the handsome and successful Dane Bergman at a loss when he finds himself at the receiving end of an adorable five-year old girl – his daughter. Playboy days are over and Daddy days leave him in total chaos and stress-filled days and sleepless nights.

TheMillionaireDaddyProject-RoxanneSnopek-May2015

And being the charmer her is, he manipulates his ever efficient, perfect and beautiful assistant Pamela Atwater to help him from a fast death and become a devil in the eyes of his daughter. A month long get away on sandy beaches brings lot of growing pains of raising a child, a child missing her dead mother, a playboy who would do anything to become the father his child deserves, and the spark of attraction that ignites between Dane and Pam just adds more sizzle to this book.

I liked Dane as the ruthless successful businessman, yet has the heart of gold. I loved the way Roxanne took the story to a few surprises. It added charm and mystery to the package. Pam was super adorable as the super efficient secretary, always protecting Dane, humble and kind as she helps run the company, and as the woman who lost her heart to her boss, just adds so much more depth to her character.

And I’m not sure what it is, but the ending was just very sweet and apt and had me feeling all mushy and happy! Must be the way Roxanne narrated it, but I loved it and the entire book gives a good feeling of love and romance.

Sneak peak into the love story (first two books) of Caine and Addison

BEFORE THAT NIGHT

(Unfinished Love, Book 1: Caine & Addison)

BeforeThatNight-Unfinished1-CaineAddison

Before that night, Addison Millan had been just a college dropout secretly raising her two young siblings in a beat-up minivan she’d bought with her first semester’s tuition refund—the only money her addict mother hadn’t taken off with when she’d abandoned them the year prior.

Before that night, Caine Spencer had been just a rough, gruff cop sent to check out the phoned-in claims of suspected child neglect involving the same woman he’d met a month ago when she’d first served him the city’s worst diner coffee…which he’d been drinking daily ever since.

Before that night, Addison would never have thought the man she’d been fighting hard not to fall for—her only friend in her new shadow of a life—would be in a position to rip her family apart.

Before that night, Caine would never have believed any woman could make him fall head over heels, let alone make him feel so damn compelled to look the other way when it came to his job.

Then that one perfect night changed everything.

BEFORE THAT NIGHT (Book 1) chronicles the destiny-altering events that take place seven years prior to HIS TO LOVE (Book 2), Caine & Addison’s explosive story of love, sacrifice, and the lengths one will run—and chase—when their past threatens their future.

HIS TO LOVE

(Unfinished Love, Book 2: Caine & Addison)

HisToLove-UnfinishLove2-CaineAddison

Seven years.

Seven damn years of wondering whether the woman was still alive…whether she’d spent the last two thousand five hundred fifty five days wondering if he was still alive.

Wondering whether that night was as burned into her memory as it was his.

Seven years having his heart tethered to Addison—and now she’s back. With even more reasons to run than she’d had then.

This time, Caine isn’t letting the gorgeous little flight risk out of his sight.

Regardless of how noble her reasons may be.

I’ve decided to retire to Marietta and get a permanent ringside seat to all the excitement that seems to grace this little enchanting town. Bachelor auctions, hot cowboys, unsuspecting love weaving magic, and the essence of romance filling the air is just perfect, as these potpourri of authors create love stories around these wonderful people.

The second book in the Montana Born Brides brings out “His Blushing Bride” Piper Tierney even as Sebastian Bloom wants to fight his feelings for her. On a break from his doctorate program, Bastian comes to Marietta to attend his sister’s wedding and ends up falling head over heals for the shy and blushing Piper.

HisBlushingBride-MontanaBrides2-DaniCollins-May2015

Taking over from her father, Piper is the music teacher in Marietta High. Born with a birthmark on her face and having endured childhood teasing and bullying, Piper maybe a successful and beautiful, but her history with the opposite sex has a lot of learning to be done. And Sebastian charms her pants off and they fall into an affair that is supposed to be temporary or can Bastian convince Piper into becoming the next Marietta bride?

Dani Collins writes some really sweet love stories. I loved the fact that she gave her heroine a flaw that could happen to anyone. I admire the way she made Piper into this strong and independent woman, yet vulnerable and sensitive, wanting to be loved for who she is, a beauty inside out. And this beautiful lady sends Bastian into an emotional roller coaster as he tries to fathom his feeling for Piper and convince her of his love being genuine and permanent.

Another charming romance in the town of Marietta, and it’s always so very wonderful to revisit characters from the previous stories.
