Rachel Lacey, since her first book, has been one of my feel-good-go-to authors that I adore and love reading. Her new series, “Risking It All” had a rocking start with a short story “Rock With You” (Carly and Sam’s love story), and now the actual series starts off in the little town of Haven with “Run To You”.

As an Olympic gold medalist Ethan Hunter may have lived a celebrated life, but his soul and life belongs in his hometown of Haven. Starting “Off-The-Grid-Adventures” with his childhood friends Mark and Ryan and to make a success of it is his goal now, and of course taking care of his grandmother Dixie is on the top of his list. Saving a beautiful angel from a hornet of yellow jackets was definitely not on his agenda nor is the first stirrings of attraction in his heart.

RunToYou-RiskingItAll#1-Aug2016

Gabby Winters stay in Haven is supposed to be a little slice of heaven and a safe haven to take charge of her life and rediscover herself. Getting swarmed by yellow jackets and landing on her ass in the lake, and getting rescued by a hottie was not even part of her wildest dreams. Yet here she was, not only being rescued by Ethan Hunter, but ends up being in the charade of dating him to make his ailing grandmother happy.

Gabby is one of the most helpful and kind women that we come across, and Ethan as the doting grandson and a boyfriend is the kind of guy you want on your side. Rachel Lacey does a brilliant job of creating these two characters with so much care and love, you can’t but help falling in love with these two, as they struggle to overcome their fears and insecurities, pain and loss, separation and heartache.

With a barrage of helpful Haven citizens, supporting friends, and magical touch adding that extra oomph and charm “Run To You” is a great beginning to Rachel’s new series. The extra attention to details and the very small touches of warmth, self talks and thoughts spanning the pages, this is one love story you want to have a happy ending.

“Wanting It All”, the second in the Naked Men Series is my first read of Christi Barth and boy did I not enjoy it to my heart’s content! As unusual as the concept of six high school friends defying death and keeping their relationship alive and well into their present life is temptation reading right there. And add podcast and live telecast of their feelings and thoughts, as naked as the can be, is just pure pleasure reading.

Knox Davis is the savvy computer genius, billionaire business magnate and a charmer of women in all the United States of America barring three states. Having grown up poor and seeing his mother struggle to give him a decent education and live, he’s made a vow to become so rich for many lifetimes to come, and keep his mother in a lap of luxury and he’s succeeded and more. He lives for his friends and would die for him. So when resident of Alaska Ms. Madison Abbot literally gets saved by Knox, little does he realize that forget about adding Alaska to his list of conquests, it’s his heart that needs all the protection in the world.

Madison Abbot comes to DC with a mission to find her partner for life a stepbrother that she hadn’t even existed until recently. Getting saved by Knox was not on her list of tourist attractions, yet she keeps him in her list of Mr. Right probable. Spending time with him threatens her heart and the attraction that sparks the fire between them sure takes them on a roller coaster ride of passion, insecurities and fears. But Madison is one stubborn and determined woman, and making Knox her life partner and to have a family that she never had is her mission now.

I must say that this book caught me off guard with its humor and wit, the strong and unbreakable relationship of six brothers that cheated death and lived to become heroes, the immense strength and support for each other is the foundation of the Naked Men Series, and Christi Barth did a super brilliant job of achieving that chemistry in the story. I had to go buy the first book “Risking It All”, after reading Knox’s story and am just as charmed and captivated with the plot and narration.

I am totally hooked line and sinker into the Naked Men, and cannot wait to read the stories of the others as they find the love of their lives. And the covers are gorgeous!!!!

This is one author who doesn’t need an introduction, writes some amazing stories with some awesome characters, and there’s always some wicked passion that is out of this world!!!!

And book one “Twisted Up” in her new two books series Taking Chances, is just as romantic, wickedly sexy and full of witty dialogues that gets our heats in a twist with warmth and passion as Erin Nicholas takes us on a ride to Chance, Nebraska, the little town infamous for its tornados year after year!

TwistedUp-TakingChance#1-ErinNicholas-Aug2016

As the Fire Chief and Head of Management of Emergency Management, Avery Sparks is a pro at handling disasters. But Jake Mitchell is one resident of Chance that she cannot seem to handle. Jake Mitchell had places to go and disasters to recover and as a nationally recognizable disaster recovery specialist, he’s supposed to be heading to DC.

But a tornado called Avery sparks old passion and as they both fire up the barn, a real tornado rips through Chance bringing Avery and Jake to work closely with each other. They are more than capable of handling emergencies together, but will they be able to handle the disaster that is their hearts and overcome the fears and uncertainties is altogether another storm.

This is why I love Erin Nicholas!!! She pays detailed attention in penning a story that makes you go through a whole gauntlet of emotions, be it Avery’s past and the impact on her present, the equation between Jake’s parents and Avery, or the chemistry and relationship between Avery and Jake – every single emotion is written to perfection for me. And unless her books are read, the full impact of her humor, passion, romance or her characters can never be understood or enjoyed to the fullest.

I’ve been reading a lot of new series by some of my favorite writers and here’s one from Marina Adair’s basket of romance. Destiny Bay Series starts off with it’s first, “Last Kiss Of Summer” as it brings Kennedy Sinclair to its charm and warmth, far away from home, to start fresh as the owner for a bakery called Sweetie Pies, and lay some roots to call a home.

LastKissOfSummer-DestinyBay#1-MarinaAdair-Aug2016

And the resident Mr. Hotness, Luke Callahan wants to take his cider business and Penalty Box to the next level with his partner, and he needs Kennedy’s apples that she ends up owning along with the Pie shop. And the fact that it was sold to Kennedy by his mother and aunt without his knowledge doesn’t sit well with him. Achieving his dream has just become a bit more deliciously complicated with Kennedy in the equation.

Amidst all the activity of Pie competitions, apple picking, and residents trying to decide whether Kennedy can become Destiny Bay’s new resident, Luke and Kennedy succumb to the attraction that sparked between them and status of his cider business may change the love equation between these two.

Another great start to the series, “Last Kiss Of Summer” makes you chuckle, ties up your heart in strings, makes you fall in love with the wonderful residents and their quirkiness, and gives you a feeling of belonging to a family. Marina Adair did a super fine job penning Luke and Kennedy with their human fears and insecurities as they figure out if they can have their happy ending.

A new series, new book boyfriends, new alphas and sassy heroines, and new romances for me to indulge my reading addiction – all presented by Melody Anne with the first book, “Turbulent Intentions”, in her new series “Billionaire Aviaitors”, as the Armstrong Brothers try to find love albeit the demands of their father’s will.

TurbulantIntentions-BillionairAviators#1-MelodyAnne-Aug2016

Pilot and CEO of his own airlines, Cooper Armstrong commands the skies as well as the hearts of beautiful women. But one lady remains in the far recess of his mind, tucked away but never forgotten. That one night passionate night with his Cinderella that leaves him wanting more with no idea as to whom this mysterious woman was.

Fate has been dealing Stormy Halifax one bolt after another as she struggles to keep a positive attitude and keep moving forward. As she rolls with the punches, never for one moment does she lose her faith or smile. Matchmaking benefactors put her under Cooper’s roof and what we get is one stormy and passionate love story.

Melody Anne is one of my favorite romantic writers and she pens another stormy story as Cooper and Stormy try to come to grips of fate throwing them a second chance and if they can make a future together. With Charming and charismatic Cooper and Stormy, wonderful and kind supporting characters, humor, passion and emotions running along, and with a perfect narration of the story, “Turbulent Intentions” will be one of favorite to-go-to book.
