“In The Fast Lane” by Audra North is fast paced with racy passion and heartwarming love. With racing in her blood and soul, Kerri Hart is racing against time to save her father’s legacy Hart Racing from folding. As the only female rookie driver on the circuit, sponsorships are laced with sexism and her only savior is Ranger Colt.

InTheFastLane-AudraNorth-July2015

Considered as a ruthless business man, Ranger Colt is on a mission to prove himself to get the coveted position in his company and as a part of the deal Colt Hardware buys into a major chunk of Hart Racing, setting Kerri’s blood racing and heart pumping with anger, passion and lust.

To salvage Kerri’s reputation in the kingdom of males, Kerri decides to team with Ranger as his fiancé. But fake relation turns into attraction leading to love. But with misunderstandings and insecurities making their way into this relationship, Ranger has to decide what’s more important in his life and Kerri has a race of a romance to win at any cost.

Nice, fast and furious, Audra North pens “In The Fast Lane” with zeal and sizzle. Kerri is just a firecracker and adorable as the only female driver trying to make her presence felt and motivate the ladies that they can become anything that they desire with hardwork and dedication in any field. Ranger is just an ultra nice guy with a big heart cloaked in expensive suits, yet supportive and lovable.

A definite feel-good-makes-you-smile romance!

Another addition to her series of Fool’s Gold, Susan Mallery is roping in cowboys and city girls to charm her reads. “Kiss Me” brings city girl Phoebe Kitzke to the charming town of Fool’s Gold and the sprawling ranch run by Zane Nicholson.

KissMe-FoolsGold17-SusanMallery-Jul2015

With her real estate license in jeopardy of being revoked, the pretty and always helpful Phoebe decides to take a break. She is sweet, smart and a sucker for helping the needy with a gigantic heart of gold, spending time in the country and conversing with animals seem to fulfill her and make her happy. And with one hot cowboy giving her the looks, she hopes to find a person who can care about her.

Zane Nicholson has his life and hands quite full with his charming, nerdy and troublesome brother who lands him to run a cattle drive. He really has no time for a woman, but Phoebe sure makes him question his priorities and what he wants in life.

“Kiss Me” is utterly captivating, deliciously romantic, deeply emotional and makes you feel for the characters and the secondary characters. I loved the way Susan incorporated them into the main story, a sub-plot within the main plot, as she explores human feelings and failings, adoption and fears, insecurities and anger, and the sweet strings of love, family and support.

Susan Mallery is as always supremely charming, simple and beautiful with her narration.

There’s nothing like reading a Jill Shalvis novel to make me laugh and enjoy the ride along with her sexy and sassy hero and heroine. Cedar Ridge is just so full of the Kincaid clan and infamous history, not to mention the stories they seem to make in the present.

SecondChanceSummer-CedarRidge-KincaidBrothers-July2015

Lily comes back to Cedar Ridge, leaving behind a successful career as a cosmetologist as she gets thrown under the bus of the rich and the famous, a blow to her job. Coming back to Cedar Ridge to assess her situation and rethink her life would have been easy if not for the memories of a past she had left behind ten years ago along with Aiden Kincaid.

Firefighter and rescue worker Aidan Kincaid is famous for leaving broken hearts in his wake, but only one gal matters to him and she is back in town to give him sleepless nights. Dormant passion ignites the hearts and sets them on a path of love and romance. But will it withstand the fears and insecurities of two people, is a chance that they both have to take to make a future.

As always, Jill Shalvis is a pro at weaving a story of humor, love and lust along with the secondary characters jumping in with their take, all in super fun dialogues and witty banter between siblings. With dialogues that make you chuckle, romance that makes us swoon and a passion that makes us root for Aidan and Lily, “Second Chance Summer” is another charming read through and through.

This is one of the most fabulous books I’ve read in the very recent times. It’s absolutely captivating, brilliantly entertaining and passionately thrilling and Scarlett Cole as a debut author definitely has become a member of my elite author list.

“The Strongest Steel” is strong in its story, tight with emotions and Harper Connelly and Trent Andrews are one of the most beautiful fictional couples I’ve read and have charmed me with their empathy, courage and love.

TheStrongestSteel-SecondCircleTattoos1-ScarlettCole-Jul2015

Harper Connelly is tattooing her life of scars with the brilliant colors of ink, braving the nightmares and the pain of reliving her traumatic past with the vibrant colors of life. Trent Andrews is a mini celebrity tattoo artist drawn to Harper, her fear, her innocence and her strength to overcome her past. As Trent colors her fear, Harper blossoms into the woman she was once, witty, charming and strong. As Trent falls in love with her, she loses the fear of touch and proximity with strangers.

As Harper and Trent strengthen their relationship, Harper’s past comes pinging and death seems just a message away. But with Trent on her side and friends in strong support, Harper is tired of running and wants to fight for a future that she deserves with Trent.

Scarlett Cole did a brilliant job with her debut novel weaving an incredible story around Harper and Trent. With emotions running deep and love playing its trump card, “The Strongest Steel” is a heartwarming story that showcases Harper’s mettle and Scarlett Cole debuts as strong as steel!

The Red Stone Security Series by Katie Reus is one of favorites to-go-to-when-I-need-a-lift kind of books, utterly captivating, intense and full of passion and danger.

SwornToProtect-RedStone-July2015

“Sworn To Protect” takes us on a fast and furious ride of danger, love and passion as Athena ends up as an employee with Red Stone Security where Quinn is already working. Past dates and a break in their relationship a few months ago does not deter their attraction for each other and Quinn wants to be Athena’s first and last love…forever.

But an ex-cop from Quinn’s past life is on a road of revenge and Athena ends up been his target. With danger and death stalking them, love and passion riding their hearts and with the team of Red Stone Security and Serafina on protective mode, Katie Reus gives us another super charming, short and ultra delectable story.

Short as it is, Katie shows her writing prowess in bringing a good depth of character to Quinn and Athena. It is always wonderful to visit the many agents and alpha males that comprise Red Stone Security and Serafina.

A wonderful series that I’ve revisited countless times and will do so countless times!
