It looks like my first read of Michele Dunaway is a runaway hit in my opinion. Reading a book just for the pleasure of it with no expectations sure brought me immense satisfaction and looks like Michele Dunaway will be on my to-continue-to-read list.

Mr. September aka Joe Marino sure knows how to seduce a woman with his infamous Marino charm and pure dedication to his job as a firefighter. Being photographed for the Sexy Public Servants Charity Calendar may not be his forte, but it brings him in contact with Taylor Krebs, the photographer.

BurningForYou-ManOfTheMonthSeries-MicheleDonaway-Apr2015

Taylor is trying to make a life of her own as she completes her photography project and sustain her photography business. Putting behind her the crazy past she had with her possessive ex-boyfriend, she definitely is not looking to hook up with the gorgeous firefighter that everyone seems to love and respect.

Yet sparks fly between Joe and Taylor. Love doesn’t send an invitation seeking permission, and working closely together to spearhead Joe’s pet project for the Burns Recovery Support Group only makes it harder for them to ignore their feelings. Passion ignites stoking their desire and the entire Marino family supports the relationship with warmth and gusto. But Joe and Taylor have a few hang-ups and insecurities to work out, before they can hope for a future.

“Burning For You” is one of most sweetest and enchanting books I’ve read. Taylor with her will power to be independent, her big heart as she helps families deal with the death of loved ones through her camera, is a strong and tenacious lady looking for love and stability and you can’t help but like her. Joe as the savior, loving son and protective brother is just perfect as guilt and physical shortcomings just make him even more endearing.

Michele Dunaway does a super nice job of developing this enchanting love story with Joe and Taylor. There is so much warmth, love, friendship and support in this book, it flows in the pages and stays with us for a long time.

Anne Stuart is one of those writers with a prowess in keeping the readers glued to pages filled with action, suspense and anticipation. I’ve read her before and really enjoy her style of narration and story development.

Francey Neeley is so in love that she doesn’t see that her Irish lover is a terrorist who believes in harming the innocent and stripping her naked off of her wealth and life. And by the time she see’s his true identity, lives are lost and she barely escapes the shoot-out and hides in the quiet and picturesque Belle Reste to recuperate and move past the trauma she had suffered. Taking care of her cousin’s house and the wounded people who come to Belle Reste to recuperate, Francey is pretty happy to be in this mindless limbo until Michael Dowd; a British schoolteacher comes to recover from a supposed car accident.

NowYouSeeHim-AnneStuart-Mar2015

Michael’s main agenda is to probe Francey about her involvement with the terrorist. Working for the British government and wounded in the fallout with the terrorist, his main goal is to get to the bottom of the terrorist attack and prevent future ones by taking out the terrorist group once and for all. Getting attracted to Francey was never a part of his plan, but he will not think twice to kill her if she’s involved.

As Michael tries to scout Francey, their lives are threatened. With betrayal and treachery coming from within the government, and as Francey’s past catches up with her, Michael is too far in love with Francey and he would lay his life down for her.

“Now You See Him” is an interesting story and Anne Stuart sure keeps the suspense and thrill going. This may not be an adrenaline, spine chilling, nerve-wracking story, but it will keep you glued to your seats, it will satisfy your thriller sense and will keep you captivated to fulfill your sense of danger, adventure and romance.

A pretty neat read!

The Ultimate Series by Lori Foster is a brilliant compilation of a group of friends, protecting their neighborhood, engaging young kids to keep them out of trouble, creating a haven for troubled teenagers, and throwing muscle in the ring when called upon.

No matter how strong he holds on to his heart, MMA fighter Denver Lewis is waging a losing battle with Cherry Peyton as she claims him as his own and had been holding a torch for him for the longest time. As Denver and Cherry finally give into their desires, circumstances put Cherry under Denver’s roof and protection. But a traumatic past has Cherry on the edge and having fought her own battles for a long time, accepting the help of her friends or Denver does not come easy to her.

HoldingStrong-Ultimate2-Mar 2015

When her past comes searching for her, literally stalking and terrorizing her, Cherry has to trust Denver to protect her and muscle his way into gaining her trust. As an independent, charming, and a loyal friend to all, Lori Foster does a fine job of building a character with depth, courage and a big heart of love in Cherry. And Denver with his ultra smooth moves, strength and a heart of gold, he would do anything to protect the love of his life.

The Ultimate Series is a testament to unconditional love and support that exists among this group of young adults, always ready with a helping hand, and fiercely protective of their own. “Holding Strong” is another captivating story with passion and love, wit and sassiness and a league of unconditional friendship and support. Lori Foster continues the Ultimate Series with her usual flair of thrill, charisma and enticement.

It takes a lot of creativity to write a series, yet make each book a stand-alone. It takes a lot of writing skills to keep the premise of the story in sight and weave individual stories around various central characters and that is no mean feat.

Donna Grant continues the saga of the Dark Kings in “Night’s Blaze” as she takes the fight to Rhys, the Dragon King stripped off his powers. Unable to shift and help his brothers in battle, Rhys steps away from Dreagan and hiding from the world. Convinced and brought back to his brothers by Rhi, his mission is to destroy the rogue Dragon flying among them and keep Lily safe from any danger.

NightsBlaze-DarkKings5-Mar2015

Lily Ross has left behind a torturous past that left scars physical as well as emotional. But with the love and support in Dreagan land, she keeps a job that gives her a reason to hope for a new lease of life. And a certain Dragon King is sure stoking the fires of passion and love. But the betrayal that had left too many scars on her body and soul rears its ugly head to becoming a stumbling block in their relationship.

And fate sure wants Lily and Rhys to build on that attraction, as they are destined to be mates. As they confess their feelings for each other and let the passion consume them in its fine glory, the evil circling Lily and Dreagan is getting its pawns ready to strike. And in this game of good and evil, will Lily survive the betrayal to make a future with her Dragon King? That is yet to be seen.

Donna Grant brings a closure to this relationship, but at same time she leaves the readers on the edge with so many possibilities and questions thirsting for answers, even as she continues to weave stories around the Dragon Kings and their mates. Rhys as the fallen dragon is a sheer delight to read in his fiery glory and Lily with her tenacity and courage, adds fire to the equation.

Can’t wait for the next Dragon King and his story, as more and more secrets see the light of the day in this war between the good and the evil.

Paranormal can be very addictive and enticing reads and Laurie London’s short novella “Enticed By Blood” is just that, tempting and enticing.

EnticedByBlood-SweetBloodWorld.LaurieLondon-Mar2015
