“Shaken Not Stirred”, the fifth book in the Last Call Series leaves me in a quivering mass of emotions. Call it been shaken or call it been stirred, whatever the case maybe, Sawyer Bennett weaves an intense story of lust, passion and love, with a healthy dose of hurt, pain and insecurities.

Casey Markham is a lady on the prowl for rich, selfish, arrogant snobs with no strings attached, easy to walk away and no motivation to get into a relationship. Deeply hurt from a previous relationship, great sex and one night stands seem to be her mantra until bad boy biker Tenn Jennings comes riding to fix her flat tire and teach her a lesson or two in love and trust.

ShakenNotStirred-LastCall5-SawyerBennett-Mar2015

Ex-Marine and biker boy Tenn Jennings comes into town to be close with his daughter Zoey and look into the possibility of making Outer Banks, NC his permanent home. A chance meeting with Casey stirs feelings and lust that had been buried for long, and her attitude towards men only fuels an intense desire to show Casey that the world still has a few good men left.

I personally think Casey and Tenn are one of the best character couples that Sawyer Bennett has created. Hardworking, misguided and ultra helpful, Casey draws you in with her sassy and honest demeanor. Despite her hang-ups, she is loyal and open hearted and a softie to the core. Tenn is an amazing sexy ultra alpha, with the confidence of having the world at his feet, choosing to stay away from billions to lead a simple life of a mechanic and raise his daughter on his own terms.

Bennett did a brilliant job with her narration, drawing out the fears and insecurities of a woman scorned. And a guy with his heart on his sleeve, laying all his cards on the table, and slowly bringing the woman he loves with his soul, to become confident and self-assured. I felt sad with Casey ‘s fears, cried for her loneliness, laughed with her, and was thrilled when Tenn goes past the stirring to literally shake Casey out of her self-made bubble of protection.

“Shaken Not Stirred” is a magnetic read of two vibrant individuals with intense emotions, extreme passion, strong family bonds and unconditional friendships.

I’m really enjoying these short love stories published by Tule Publishing and giving the readers an opportunity to read new writers and authors. Centered around Marietta, Montana, the stories are warm, fuzzy and brimming with love and family support.

Bachelor#4 Jett Casey is in his element on the dangerous snow slopes as he’s at home wielding power tools to build a home!!! Charming, easy going and ultra savvy, he’s a gentleman and a passionate lover. Patient to the core and coming from a wonderful family of unconditional love and support, he wants to make a home with Mardi Griffin and her little baby girl, having lost his heart and soul to them.

As a single mother, Mardi Griffin knows the hardships she will encounter, but nothing deters her from working hard and building a life with her baby girl. With wonderful supportive friends circling her, she ends up on winning edge of having the elite ski champ make some repairs to her run down home, as part of the auction win. As the house takes shapes, the walls around her heart crumble, and the Jett makes a home in her soul.

Witty and fun, charming and enticing, passionate and loving, “What The Bachelor Needs”  and Kelly Hunter gives the bachelor exactly what he’s needing, a happily-ever-after with Mardi and her baby girl and a captivating and romantic read to the readers.

Kelly Hunter does a super fine job of writing the parallel story of Jett Casey and Mardi Griffin, full of warmth, with family and friendship forming a circle of love. It was a pure reading joy!

Another first read on the list for me is Farrah Taylor’s “Dances With The Wolf” (Big Sky Love Series #2). Rodeo career’s got a very short life span and staying on top of the game is no easy task. Wolf Olsen is back on a break from the rodeo circuit, back to family and back to Abby Macready, the girl he left waiting for him to take her to prom.

DancesWithWolf-FarrahTaylor-BigSky-Mar2015

Leaving veterinarian college behind, Abby Macready is back home with her parents making a name for herself as a horse whisperer, her love of animals running very deep into her soul. As much as she understands animals, her understanding of the opposite sex sure is a puzzle for her. But then again her heart had always belonged to Wolf Olsen.

Abby has several questions unanswered and Wolf has answers to them that he’s not ready to give. But as they are thrown together with family gatherings and working with injured animals, the attraction that had sparked years ago burst into fierce passion that both cannot deny. Now all they have to do is put the questions of the past to rest and see if they can make a future with each other.

“Dances With Wolf” has a good story line going, though at times it was a tad bit too long. As much as I liked Wolf and Abby, there were times I felt the story was not moving at all. I definitely did not find it boring, yet it was not holding my interest hundred percent. I felt that there was too much of a monologue than action.

Given the chance, yes I would definitely read Farrah Taylor again. Considering that she is pretty fresh, I sure hope she only becomes another great writer as she progresses in her writing experience.

The Bachelor Auction in Marietta continues with the second book in the series, “Bachelor At Her Bidding” as Ryan Henderson, the Parisian chef and eligible bachelor goes up on stage to be auctioned for his culinary skills and giving the winner the most delectable and scrumptious dinner he ever laid on the table.

BachelorAtHerBidding-KateHardy-Mar2015

Rachel Cassidy moves back home to Marietta after a disastrous marriage and a painful divorce. Working as a family doctor, and trying to put her life back together, she ends up winning Ryan Henderson in the auction as a birthday gift, courtesy her sister and friends.

Ryan Henderson has a super busy life as a chef and taking care of his grandmother suffering from dementia. He does not have time for a relationship, yet when he meets Rachel to fulfill the auction win, he can’t control his attraction to the beautiful doctor. Rachel is still licking her wounds, and she is not ready to give her heart to the sexy chef. And both lose the fight against their feelings for each other and end up in a relationship.

But then the path of love is never easy and past pain and insecurities lead Ryan to a decision that takes Rachel away from his life. And by the time he realizes his stupidity, Rachel is hurt and keeps Ryan far away to keep put the pieces of her broken heart back together. And Ryan really needs to come with an outstanding and creative way to woo Rachel back into his life.

Another sweet and delicious story of the series, Kate Hardy is good with her narration and keeps the readers charmed and captivated. I loved Rachel, with her positivity and ability to be reasonable as the situation presents. Ryan is more emotional where family is concerned and has a hard time reconciling to things in life. Both characters make you fall in love with them and be frustrated with them.

Another short and mesmerizing story of love, friendship and support that leaves us with happiness and warm fuzziness.
