Demolished – Owens Of Blue Bay

The Blue Bay Crew – start of a new series featuring the Owens siblings in the town of Blue Bay Crew written by Cathryn Fox; another captivating series for the readers for sure.

Fox_Demolished

First in the series, “Demolished” brings bad boy, Sean Owens to his hometown, to take care of his father’s construction business and set roots. He never dreamed that his past girlfriend Summer Wheeler would ever be in Blue Bay under a false name refusing to acknowledge him.

Summer Wheeler is running from a tragic past leaving her alone and coming home to Blue Bay is her way of staying under the radar of the people hunting her. Coming face to face with her lover Sean and having to take his help to fix her home was never in her plan.

A decent story, but somehow not captivating as her earlier stories, “Demolished” can be read once. Sean and Summer make good enough characters, but somehow the plot lacked the needed intrigue and suspense to make a lasting impression

Have you read a love story and felt it was super cool read? Well, “A Cowboy To Keep” is a definite cool keeper and it’s always fun visiting Marietta and it’s wonderful couples.

ACowboyToKeep-BarbaraAnkrum-Aug2017

Barbara Ankrum’s latest is a charming love story with a twist of suspense, bringing Ali Thibeaux to the wonderful town of Marietta albeit undercover to see a sister she never knew existed and get a reprieve from a past that refuses to leave her. Becoming a housekeeper and falling in love with a rancher was never in her plan.

Becoming a parent to his niece was something that reclusive rancher Adam Wolf would have ever dreamed, but tragedy brings these two under one roof, but a distance as wide as the Atlantic. Impulsive as it was hiring Ali as his housekeeper, the consequences are fateful to the sparks that flare between them.

Am totaling loving Barbara Ankrum and her charming romances; rich with emotion, interesting plots and characters that make us fall in love with them, “A Cowboy To Keep “is a definite winner!

The story was worth the wait!!! I was ecstatic when I heard that Trigger was going to get his own story and “Escape To You” is just as brilliant story as the relationship between the DEA Agent Beck “Trigger” Cooke and the renowned actress Ashley Swan.

Kidnapped and tortured by a supposed friend, Ashley Swan escapes the clutches of her tormentor along with his abused son Adam, as a beacon of a light takes her to the boundaries of Trigger’s ranch. Recuperating from injuries of an undercover op gone wrong, saving Ashley and protecting Adam becomes his first priority compromising his identity to the cartel and jeopardizing his job as a DEA agent.

EscapeToYou-MontanaHeat#2-JenniferRyan-Sept2017

“Escape To You” is one heck of a story of a courageous woman finding the strength to escape her captor and moving forward with the help and support of good people. It is the story of a kind and big hearted Ashley Swan, as she rights the wrongs done be her captor and giving some powerful people a second chance at life. And it is the story of a wonderful and brilliant actress who wants to give a little boy the happy life he deserves and a father the chance to right some wrongs.

Escape To You” is also the story of a DEA Agent surviving the evil and cruelty of undercover operations, of a man wanting to make the world a better place to live and of a brave man to expose himself to the various cartel to stand beside the woman he loves and the little boy he wants to be a father to.

What fascinates me about Jennifer Ryan is her immense ability to create a heroine so different from each other in every one of stories. With courage, loyalty and strength, being the common foundation, every one of her heroines has a story so filled with pain, betrayal and hurt that reading each one of them makes us question the evil that exists in this world yet gives us hope that there is good to counter this evil attack and faith that honor exists.

For the uninitiated, the Montana Heat Series follows the Montana Men Series and every book can be read as a standalone. I have to repeat this in my review – “Call me biased, but in my opinion Jennifer Ryan writes one of the most brilliant and romantic suspense stories that I’ve ever read. “The Hunted Series” always is going to be my chicken soup for the soul, having lost count of the number of times I’ve read that series.”

You don’t want to miss this Montana Man getting burned by Montana Heat!

Whatever books I’ve read of Maisey Yates, have been fun, lighthearted and warm. Her latest in the Copper Ridge Series, “Wild Ride Cowboy” is just as charming reuniting Alex Donnelly and Clara Campbell.

WildRideCowboy-CopperRidgeSeries-MaiseyYates-Aug2017

The death of his best friend and brother in arms brings Alex Donnelly back home to fulfill his friend’s last wishes, a task he’s not looking forward to, and an act that would keep in close proximity to the one love in his life, Clara Campbell.

Losing her family and a brother she had adored leaves Clara Campbell alone to run their depleting ranch, trying to make ends meet and survive on the meager earnings. Realizing that the ranch was left in the guardianship of Alex Donnelly is as shocking as her feelings for Alex.

“Wild Ride Cowboy” is sweet ride of read. Alex as the protective cowboy and the man in love, helping Clara is a treat and Clara as the courageous woman trying to keep her family ranch going is one of Maisey’s strong characters I’ve read her. Add in the sparks of attraction and Maisey Yates does a fine job developing their relationship making it a pleasure to read this story.

“Taking Home The Tycoon” is part of the series “Texas Cattleman’s Club”, is a charming love story by Catherine Mann and any story of her is a delight to read. She sprinkles the right dosage of emotions, love and insecurities into her characters, which make her stories a reading pleasure.
