“Riley Ingram, the girl who had never belonged to anyone, had finally found her way home.”

No matter how far you run, the past has a nasty knack of playing catch up. No matter you’ve created an identity to start fresh, unless the past is erased, there cannot be hope of a future. Riley Ingram may have been “Running Scared” from the demons of her heinous past, but she has become a warrior at heart saving lives and becoming a daughter to Noah McCall. Paired with Justine Kelly and running ops with him for the past three years has given her purpose to love, hope to survive and a LCR family that covers her six no matter what. And working three years with Justin only seems to stoke the embers of desire and passion that refuses to diffuse between them.

RunningScared-LCR Elite

The past has come calling for Riley Ingram aka Jessica Larsen and the time has come for Jessica Larsen to pen the final chapter of her past and getting the answers she deserves of her identity and her roots. And we get a torturously amazing story of evil and danger, tenacity and courage, passion and love, support and family.

I shall forever remember the morning after Riley and Justin spent a night together. The emotional conversation between Noah and Justin will be one of my favorite scenes. The confessional night between Riley and Justin will forever be one of the most heart wrenching and tearful dialogues I’ve read. And Riley and Justin will be one of my top favorites of Christy’s character in par with McKenna and Lucas (Last Chance).

Christy Reece created another elite pair in Riley and Justin. Her attention to detail is amazing, her play of emotions and tenderness is a bullet to your heart, and her placement of supporting characters in the story only proves her prowess as a brilliant romantic suspense writer. A review definitely doesn’t do justice to her novels. Her books have to be read to endure the evil, live in the emotions, savor the passion and root for her flawed characters with her flawless writing!

The wheels have been set in motion for Aidan and Anna, and I cannot wait to see how Christy Reece choreographs their story of a lifetime!

Delores Fossen is one of the most lovable and warm persons I ‘ve had the pleasure of reading. With equal doses of romance and danger, with and charm, and throw in those hardworking and sexy McCord Brothers and we’ve got a charismatic love story.

TexasOnMyMind-McCordBrothers-DeloresFossen

Captain Riley McCord is back home in Spring Hill, TX recuperating from an injury and taking a break from being in the Air Force. Coming back also brings back childhood memories and of his lost love, Claire Davison. Settling her late grandfather’s estate may keep Claire busy along with raising her son. But her heart beats for Riley, and the lost years only strengthen that love. With Claire being given the job of keeping an eye on Riley, hiding her feelings only gets harder and being close to Claire only makes him want to spend the rest of his life with her.

With lots of unanswered questions and Claire’s dynamite of a son thrown into the equation, Claire and Riley get a second chance to give themselves a happily ever after. Down to earth and with the entire town of Spring Hill meddling, “Texas On My Mind” is a warm read of family and support, friends and care.

I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance. A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for. He said one that would make me his wife. ~ Author Unknown ~

Samantha Chase is fast becoming a maestro of romance stories as she breathes life into characters that her readers can relate to – from the Montgomerys to the Shaughnesseys with attitude and life partners with sass. She builds each character with care and details and that is one of her best skills as a prominent writer.

Her latest release “Friday Night Brides” is a testament to that very fact of caricaturing four friends from kindergarten to adults, as they go through the growing pains, being part of each other’s lives, crying and laughing with each other as they create their own individual lives. As different as chalk and cheese, these four friends have become each other’s rocks as they flew through life.

Angie, Becca, Ella and Hayley are not only friends for lifetime; they also have been modeling for Hayley’s mother’s Enchanted Bridal, from flower girls to brides now. And this very adventure since childhood has give roots to dreams of their own weddings and their partners for life, as they find their own Happily-Ever-After. Sean, Max, Dylan and Jackson complement these dazzling Friday Night Brides!

“Friday Night Brides” is just not a romance story. It gives an insight into the dreams of young adults, the trials and tribulations of relationships, breakups and heartaches, support and family, and the insecurities and uncertainties of loving one person for a lifetime. And add in the drama of extended family and few glitches that life always seems to enjoy throwing in our faces, this book is a dazzling read.

Placing four characters in a story is no easy job, and Samantha Chase managed to create magic with Angie, Becca, Ella and Hayley, giving them their own identity and individuality. With a fabulous storyline and brilliant narration, Friday Night Brides makes us wish for friends and dreams as these four wonderful and lovely ladies.

Samantha Chase started off her new series “The Shaughnessy Brothers” with a bang as the first Shaughnessy brother Aidan finds his forever with Zoe in “Made For Us”. And “Love Walks In” right into Hugh Shaughnessy’s heart and he had no ammunition to fight his feelings for Aubrey Burke.

LoveWalksIn-Shaughnessey2-SamanthaChase

Hugh Shaughnessy lives by rules, schedules and itineraries that have no room for changes nor does he let time slip his control. He can’t handle change nor does he see the benefit of others not respecting time and schedules. And for this Shaughnessy, Aubrey Burke is an uncontrollable and unpredictable dilemma that makes him question his attitude. She lives on instinct, thrives on making personal connections and time and schedules are not on her list of living her life. She is a bane to his sanity and he is sexy trouble on a watch for Aubrey.

There’s plenty of humor and passion, charm and dazzle, but what stands out for me in “Love Walks In”, is Samantha’s prowess of setting Hugh apart from his brother Aidan. Each sibling molds to the loss of their mother in different ways. Guilt and responsibility makes them create lives that they now in live, with a hope to atone the guilt of being responsible for her death. Each character has been caricatured with so much detail and dynamics that reading their stories is pure pleasure.

Just as “Love Walks In” for Hugh and Aubrey, they walk right into my heart as one of the sweetest couples that would be on my favorite list.

Last man standing Adam Baudouin finally falls for the girl-next-door-everyone’s-friend Harper Owens, in the fitting finale of Marina Adair’s Heroes Of St. Helena Series. I enjoyed each love story of the Baudouin brothers and their tryst with their sassy heroines. Needless to say that this series was my first read of Marina Adair and she’s warmed into my heart with her charming and captivating stories.NeedYouForMine-StHelenaHeroes-MarinaAdair

Harper Owens needs Adam Baudouin as much as he needs her for himself. What starts off as pretend relationship to save her lingerie store and get him a promotion, both Harper and Adam never saw the fire that ignites between them. Their chemistry is hot, connection is soul deep, and the empathy and caring they have for each other takes them by surprise. Throw in a generous dose of wit and family meddling, you’ve got one sexy read of a romance.

Harper is just this colorful, ultra sweet and an amazingly good person, and Adam compliments her with his protective and helpful, the imperfectly perfect hero for his heroine. “Need You For Mine” is a dazzling narration and writing prowess of Marina that keeps the story interesting and brings a chuckle as Harper and Adam muddle through relationship to get their happily ever after.HeroesOfStHelena-MarinaAdair

From “Need You For Keeps” to “Need You For Always”, to finally “Need You For Mine”, Marina weaves heartwarming stories of the Baudouin brothers, considered as the Heroes of St. Helena.
