From “The Raines Of Wind Canyon” to “The Brodies” to “Boss Inc.”, Kat Martin has created amazing characters fighting for justice and protecting the loved ones in their lives. As each series progressed into the next one, I enjoyed every page of these brothers in arms to their extended cousins and friends.

“Into The Fury” is the first book in the “BOSS INC” (Brodie Operations Security Services Inc.) series pitching Ethan Brodie against a stalker hell bent on creating havoc among the lingerie models touring cross-country. And one of the models happens to be Valentine Hart, best friend of Ethan’s sister-in-law then all bets are off. Now when extended family is concerned, the Brodie’s protectiveness comes out in spades.

Being a lingerie model is for Valentine Hart is just a means to a goal of becoming a veterinarian. Being stalked by a killer was never a part of her plan, and neither is falling for the hot and protective Ethan. I loved Valentine for her independence, endurance and just her nature to help others. She’s just perfect with her imperfections and a perfect partner for Brodie.

Another fast paced, thrilling ride from Kat Martin as she weaves pages of romance and danger. Incorporating and setting up the relationship between Megan O’Brien and Dirk Reynolds to take us into their story was brilliant and jelled well with this book.

The Brodies continue to heat up the cold Alaskan winters!

The third in the trilogy of “The Brodies of Alaska”, the oldest Brodie brother Rafe has his job and time cut out for him as he fights for his love and tries to survive the evil lurking in the Alaska wilderness.

Olivia Chandler has left behind a life of death and has escaped to the wild Alaskan state by the sheer determination. Changing her identity and self, she immerses herself in running the “Pelican” and staying low. Keeping to herself and staying out of Rafe’s radar gets tossed out when one of the locals gets murdered and the fear of her dangerous past comes kicking to her present. Now she has to keep herself alive and try not to fall in love with Brodie to keep him safe.

Rafe Brodie runs a successful charter business and when his first mate ends up dead, he gets into the thick of things trying to find the murderer. Giving him company in this search is the beautiful and aloof Olivia Chandler. There’s intense attraction and undeniable chemistry that brings them together. But Liv’s secrets may keep Rafe away or their love for each other may give the courage and strength to face the danger together, as one unit.

There is no doubt that Kat Martin writes some of the most interesting and captivating romances with mystery and her characters are ultra protective, super savvy and always fighting for justice. I love Rafe and Liv the best of the trio so far. With her inner strength, courage and kindness, she is the perfect partner for Rafe, the ex-water search and rescue alpha, with a kind heart and a supportive friend and citizen.

Another fascinating story of suspense and romance, evil and death, love and forever, “Against The Tide” will keep the readers engaged and thrilled!

The Brodies are heating up the cold Alaskan winters!

“Against The Sky” takes us into the beautiful locales of Alaska in all its wild winter glory, as Nick Brody and Samantha Hollis fight their growing attraction to each other.

A chance meeting between ex-homicide detective Nick Brody and business owner Samantha Hollis in the Sin City sets the stage for a romance between them. Having scorched the bed sheets with a life changing consequences, Samantha decides to accept Nick’s invitation to Alaska to give their desire for each other a chance to develop into a relationship.

But Alaska is anything but quiet and slow, because under the big sky lurks danger that threatens the lives of loved ones. With betrayal and evil shadowing them, Nick and Samantha have to trust each other to survive kidnapping and death, if they want to want to get a chance at a future.

I love Kat Martin’s Raines Series – one of my favorites. And the Brodies Of Alaska are a close second. Kat Martin did a fabulous job of weaving romance and suspense as Nick and Samantha try to bridge the distance in their lives. I loved the way their characters did justice to their roles, as they try to understand each other, the subtleties of life that take over their existence and the doubts and insecurities that dog a relationship. Nick and Samantha are just perfect for each other in this imperfect world!

An invigorating read filled with enough romance and suspense to keep our hearts pulsing and minds racing.

I came across Kat Martin and her “Raines Series” quite by accident and a worthy accident it was. Besides the three Raines brothers, Jackson, Gabriel and Dev, the series also revolves around the whole group of private investigators and the women who give a good run for their love, egos and protectiveness. With stories of murder, love, loyalty and support, each one of them was a superlative ride of thrill and suspense.Image

The Raines Series transcends into the “Against Series” with the Brodies making their presence felt. Related to Ty Brodie from “Against The Mark”, I am looking forward to getting acquainted with Dylan, Nick and Rafe. Kat’s writing is an art of expression that keeps us on the edge of our seats. As much as the stories have the premise of suspense and thrill, each is as different as chalk and cheese. Not one story did I feel repetitious or had an urge skip.

Besides her Raines Series, I have a special fondness for her “Hunted Trilogy” Her “The Silent Rose” was one of my all time favorites. Even after knowing the suspense, I still enjoyed re-reading, more than twice. This book was a surprise read that had me completely captivated and mesmerized. With a surprise element of paranormal and the presence of a vengeful ghost, this book had me rooted to my couch until I read “The End”.  In fact this story was based on real life events and was well worthy a read.

ImageJonathan Stafford and Devon James are such likeable characters with their painful pasts, and they come together as they take care of each other through their insecurities and fears. Despite the bizarre events, the story had an edge of calm and serenity about it. Despite the presence of the paranormal element, the chemistry between Devon and Jonathan was so very well etched and their characters were written to perfection.

Kat Martin is a thrilling read all the way! Check out her website and she’s got a lot more books under her belt.
