From Donna Grant comes a brand new series, “Sons Of Texas”, weaving a plot around the Loughman brothers, with a sub plot that involves their father and bringing the brothers together on a deadly as they try to unravel the mystery and suspense surrounding their father and his covert operations.

Death brings the highly decorated Navy Seal Owen Loughman home in the middle of a mission, and his longtime heart and soul Natalie Dixon seems to bind him with the shackles of love even as they try to find their kidnapped father and keep Natalie safe from being killed.

Donna Grant’s first foray into romantic suspense is just invigorating and brilliant. As the brothers try to decipher the deadly events, in the midst of evil, he finally accepts his love for Natalie, vowing to keep her safe and find the truth behind the deadly implications of world terrorism. And Donna delivers with intensity and passion, as each book can be read alone, it would be advisable to read them in sequence as the sub plot flows into the other two books as Wyatt and Cullen also find the women of their dreams.

A five star read and a definite addition to the library!

If you haven’t tuned into the “Shaughnessy Brothers” yet, you are missing another wonderful series of romance and family dynamics by one of my favorite authors Samantha Chase. Book three of the series “This Is Our Song” takes us up close to Riley Shaughnessy, the musician of the clan.

Battling a musician’s block, a deadline looming and with the label threatening his very career, Riley Shaughnessy is going through the worst time of his life and having a judgmental entertainment reporter writing an article about him is not his kind of music.

Stardom doesn’t faze Savannah Daly and neither does sexy and handsome rock stars. Or so she thinks, until she’s forced to write an article about Riley and ends up spending a month with him and his family. If you’ve read the Shaughnessys, you know they can be pretty overwhelming.

Another charming love story although I think Samantha Chase gave more importance to Riley’s angst, insecurities and issues, which is a welcome change, rather than a full-blown romance. You’ll read more of the family dynamics in this book than others, and it is actually pretty neat as the circumstances are created for us to be a part of the Shaughnessy family. And adding Savannah’s parents to the equation makes it pretty interesting. So be prepared to read more of Riley’s thoughts, family banter and interaction, and less of Riley and Savannah romance.

You’ll like Riley and Savannah as they go through the ups and downs of love, navigating the various high notes as well as the low notes, trying to find their song. This love story is more of Riley, and the Shaughnessys and a tad less of romance between Savannah and Riley. And Samantha Chase doesn’t disappoint, yet this story is very different from her usual style.

Size matters!!! There’s no doubt about it. But it all comes down to acceptance with confidence and personality. To women everywhere, of any size or shape (me included ;)), Alison Bliss’s latest release, “Size Matters” is a roller coaster ride of fun, wit and sweet romance as Sam Cooper woos Leah Martin into his life forever.

Successful business and bakery owner Leah Martin has curves that some men would die for, but convincing her that she is beautiful is a monumental task that Sam Cooper takes a personal interest and inevitably ends up becoming her fake fiancé. And the fun starts.

You can’t but root for Leah with her positive attitude to life, patient as she deals with her perfectly imperfect mother, overprotective brothers and her loving and supportive father. And add in Sam to the equation, and he’s a temptation that she can’t refuse and can become addicted to very fast.

Sam Cooper seems to put his foot in the mouth every time he’s around Leah and when circumstances give him the title of Leah’s fiancé, his world is turned upside down with double addictions – Leah and her baking!

A first read for me of Alison Bliss, “Size Matters” was a total surprise package that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. Leah and Sam are just adorable in their arguments as they try not to hurt each other, avoiding their feelings for each other even as they fall head over heals in love, and the family gathering is just one big laughable and laudable encounter.

I definitely will be reading more of Alison Bliss and can’t wait for the next installment in her “A Perfect Fit” series.

I love Jill Sanders and her Pride Series is one of top favorites. And now nothing like going to the other extreme of enjoying a mystery, psychic powers and a series that leaves us with goose bumps and more questions than answers.

“The Beckoning” is book 2 in her Entangled Series, continues the mystery surrounding Hidden Creek, Georgia. Breanna seems to be waking up in places that she’s never been to and seeing events that may happen in the future. Visions of Ethan and with an excuse to use her investigative journalism to research some occurrences, Brea ends up in Hidden Creek. And the mystery, the eerie events, and the past that seems to flow into the present, only makes this story even more intriguing and captivating.

Make sure that the series is read in sequence starting with “The Awakening” as all the characters are connected by the central plot of the series…. a disappearance and the events that seem to bring all the characters together, including the parents. With individual love stories incorporated into the main plot, Jill Sanders keeps the narration thrilling and totally spine-chilling.

Stacey Lynn hooks me to the “Fireside Series”! Not only is she good with keeping the plot interesting, she’s managed to place emotions and romance in good sequence making her stories pretty captivating.

“His To Cherish” is heart wrenching and heartwarming story of loss and pain, faith and hope and support and care of family and friends as Aidan Deveraux goes through the worst pain that a father can go through. As he tries to survive the loss of his own flesh and blood, it’s not easy to get over the anger and the guilt.

As a witness to the tragedy and a friend of Aidan, Chelsea Dwyer tries to be the shoulder to lean on and a friend to lend an ear and help ease the pain of loss. And it’s up to Aidan to realize that it’s important to protect and cherish what’s been given to him. That hope and love can still be a part of their future.

“His To Cherish” is a very good read that tugs our heartstrings and warms our hearts with the love and care of those around and that amidst the loss, a future can be created and cherished. Stacy Lynn has given Aidan and Chelsea a good in depth character as they navigate through the fears and loss.
