The Whiskey River series are as different and diverse as the amazing authors penning the love stories of the infamous Boots brothers along with their newfound Blues brothers.

OneNightWithTheBadBoy-WhiskeyCreek4-EveGaddy-Aug2015

Book four of the series “One Night With The Bad Boy”, finds the IT genius Xander Blue, falling hard for the CFO of Kelly Boots, Bailey Richmond. With a reputation of a bad boy and number of notches under his belt, Xander is fascinated with Bailey, with her beauty and her brains and frustrated with the distance she wants to maintain between them.

Bailey has been bitten hard, once. And her stature as a single mother only keeps her from getting into any relationships that might hurt her or her son. Focusing on her career and spending as much times as possible with her son, she refuses to acknowledge the sparks of attraction that Xander evokes.

Then again, where there is love there is a way and persistence that pays off. But the road to a future has its share of ups and downs, fears and insecurities. With a billionaire’s heart on the line, a sassy damsel sure is fighting a losing a battle. Xander and Bailey are two strong and independent individuals, lovable to the core, imperfect and totally human and kind. Love these two!

Eve Gaddy sure weaves a captivating story around the Blue brother and Bailey. I loved her focus of giving equal importance to the relationship between the brothers as well as the romance. I admire Eve Gaddy for creating situations where the brothers interact with each other, be it professionally or on a personal level, the narration never lags nor does it lose its charm.

Another charming story of love, family and support “One Night With The Bad Boy”, will leave your heart with warmth and smiles of a happily ever after story.

I am not sure what exactly was the trigger that took my interest away from this book. This is the first book in my reading history that took me more than a month in trying to finish it….trying been the operative word! To me the characters are important as much as the narration and the way the story falls into place. This is one of those books where the characters were just not in my wavelength.

MissMatch-LaurelinMcGee-Jun2015

Andrea Dawson as the matchmaker just did not click with me. Her character was too sketchy and immature for a role of a matchmaker. Despite her redeeming qualities like her wit and reading people, she just did not cater to my reading pheromones.

Blake Donovan is one of the worst characters sketched. For a millionaire and a businessman, he is too childish and immature. He absolutely has no idea what he wants, and I have no clue what Blake’s hang-ups are for him to behave like a jerk.

Language and the plot of “Miss Match” are pretty good, unfortunately it completely missed its mark in catching my interest and honestly I couldn’t finish it. This was an unfortunate ‘mismatch’ to me

Catherine Bybee’s Weekday Brides Series is one of the most beautiful and entertaining series I’ve read and have re-visited several times. I will miss these alpha males with their imperfections and attitude and their equally sassy and independent women.

TreasuredByThursday-WeekdayBrides7-CatherineBybee

The grand finale of the series, “Treasured By Thursday” gives Gabriella Masini, a fitting fairy tale. For all the pain and betrayal that she had endured, the nightmares and scars that plague her in the present, she is one amazing woman who deserves the man of her dreams to cherish her, adore her and love her. And Hunter Blackwell fits that role like a glove.

Touted as one of the most eligible bachelors of times, self-made and a billionaire to the boot, Hunter Blackwell is on the lookout for a temporary wife to get away from the limelight. But when Alliance refuses to take him as a client, a man with the word ‘no’ not in his dictionary, manages to blackmail Gabriella into marriage.

Catherine’s trademark style of witty writing and emotional play of scenes is as always awesome and enthralling. I believe she’s spent an extra caring minutes creating Gabriella and Hunter. Gabriella has blossomed into a savvy and strong woman, overcoming a past that haunts her sometimes, yet it has helped in shaping her independence and individuality. Hunter is the ultimate businessman, ruthless but a heart of gold and when he cares for someone, he gives himself completely.

I loved, loved and loved both these amazing characters. Bringing together the complete entourage of her series was just pure orgasmic! And no words can do justice to this series. It has to be read to enjoy Catherine’s amazing characters and enjoy the screenplay of her various love stories.

‘Chance Encounter’ can be deadly enough to break a soul. ‘Chance Encounter’ can be a balm in the night of deadly shadows and a ‘Chance Encounter’ can be the very epitome of love that endures to fight for their destiny.

The LCR Elite has a new member in the savvy and fallen quarterback Brennan Sinclair. With a past that refuses to fade and a guilt that seems to eat him from the inside, his first mission with the LCR Elite lands him under the roof of the beautiful and wholesome Kacie Dane.

Another fallen angel to the evil of the world, enduring the naked scars of pain, Kacie Dane always has a smile for the world. Embracing her profession as a model, pouring her inner pain into Kacie Dane Foundation, she channels her nightmares into strength and courage, giving back to the world in her very small means.

ChanceEncounter-LCRElite2-July2015

But when her torturous past threatens her life, Brennan steps in with his support and empathy, love and security, and the entire LCR family weaves a shield of protection. And that very shield stokes the embers of lust and passion, and the need for companionship brings Brennan and Kacie into the folds of love.

“Chance Encounter” gives us a chance to know two wonderful characters with so much strength and courage makes us tear for their pain and loss. Two good people, who got the wrong end of the deal, yet fate throws them into the hands of destiny, smile with each other and pass those very smiles around. Christy does a stupendous job of portraying their inner demons, feelings and thoughts, that you cannot but help laugh and cry along with them.

What I love about Christy Reece is her amazing creativity of characters, so broken yet redeemable. She can write adrenaline and heart racing romantic suspense and thrillers and on the other end of the spectrum is her sublime romance and immense depth of feelings. All her stories may not have to be bloody and pure evil to send the message across. Evil and love can romance at a sublime level in her stories and she does a brilliant job of narrating them.

This is one of her very best of best works that I will revisit several times and Kacie and Brennan will take a very close second to my favorites McKenna and Luke (Last Chance).

Here’s another writer/author that I dig reading her sweet romances and wonderful characters. I’ve been following her for quite some time now, and she just grew leaps and bounds with her narration and writing prowess. I love her Montgomery Series as much as her individual novels and now she brings The Shaughnessy Brothers into the pool.

MadeForUs-ShaughnessyBrothers1-SamanthaChase-aug2015

“Made For Us” leads the way to another very promising series and I believe Aidan Shaughnessy will top the charts as my favorite. Losing his mother in his growing hears, eldest of six siblings and carrying the weight of the family on his young shoulders, he never realized that life has passed by him. Helping his father run the household is second nature that molds him into being a perfectionist, stubborn and his way is the highway. And he absolutely has no time or interest to rock his life of normalcy and make any changes.

And enters the fiery interior decorator Zoe Dalton, and Aidan’s normal life hurricanes out of control. He wants her, desires her, lusts her, but he doesn’t want her to rock the equation of his life. Zoe is an amazing character of patience, warmth and understanding, strong and independent, yet yearning for a family to belong to, she just steals your heart. She teaches Aidan to laugh, to romance, to cry and to love, and the entire story was just screen-played to a beautiful perfection of a read.

Samantha Chase just touched my heart with her portrayal of Aidan to perfection, and I can relate to his every fear and insecurity. It’s not easy to pen such a complex character, and she did with an amazing creative flair. I will treasure the first Shaughnessy brother forever and can’t wait to be a part of the rest of this dynamic family and their love stories.
