The saga of the dragons and the darkness that they tend to live with continues in Katie Reus’s Darkness Series with “Beyond The Darkness”, another intense and passionate love story as Keelin tries to stay away from mating the sexy and alpha demon Bran Devlin.

Coming out of a forced hibernation spanning centuries, Keelin Petronilla has a lot of catching up to do with the changes in the society. Wanting to guard this precious freedom, she moves away from her clan to stay with the wolf pack under Stravos leadership. Tending bar for a half demon-god, new friends and a lifestyle on her own terms is what she loves and woes never to be controlled by anyone, be it the alpha Bran Devlin.

BeyondDarkness-Darkness3

Former special-ops, Bran Devlin is the leader of a powerful dragon pack, and his search for the evil targeting young female demons brings him to the Stravos community as well as reunites him with his intended mate Keelin. A mate who refuses to give up her freedom, yet wants to test the boundaries of the passion that sparks between them, on her own terms.

But as an unknown enemy targets Keelin and with repeated attempts on her life, Devlin is not leaving anything to chance, and he would protect his mate until his last breath. As Devlin and Keeling lose themselves in the throes of their passion, the evil is fast getting too close to home.

Welcome to land of the Montgomerys!!!!! Arrogant, rich, loving, charismatic, sometimes idiotic when their women are in sight, but damn sexy to the boot. I love them and for me they sail in the same boat as the Sullivans of Bella Andre or the Sloans of Melanie Shaw.

It’s wonderful reading Samantha Chase’s Montgomery Brothers Series after a long hiatus with ‘Return To You’ (Book 4). I missed the aristocrat and meddling William Montgomery along with his brother J It’s such a warm and comforting feeling to have a family that loves and supports unconditionally and manipulates and meddles unconditionally.

Selena Ainsley is manipulated into planning their high school reunion and ends up coming home to North Carolina from Long Island. A home that she had left behind yet the memories and pain of a past still haunt her and so does the young boy who stole her heart all those years ago. Circumstances send her away from her home and James Montgomery, but motivation and sheer grit motivates her into becoming a successful business owner and now fate and William Montgomery play the catalyst in bringing James and Selena face to face.

ReturnToYou-Montgomerys4-Mar2015

James Montgomery had left behind a passion as a landscaper and all the riches to become a detective fighting for justice, a very personal decision that was born out of a painful past. Successful, hardworking and loyal to his job, nothing catches him off guard than coming face to face with Selena, the one and only girl who stole his heart. He has questions and Selena is the only one with answers. The past still hurts him enough and Selena is the only balm to take away the pain of betrayal.

Ten years of separation slips away as the desire between them stokes the suppressed love. Pain and betrayal fade away as they succumb to the passion that sizzles between them. But they have ten years of hurt, unanswered questions and a small matter called trust, that needs to be taken care of, before they can dream of a future with each other…. finally!

And what a fabulous ending Samantha gives James and Selena as they return to each other, for a new beginning! She brings back the glory of the Montgomerys with James and Selena, perfect for each other characterized with all normal human failings.

I may be biased, I may be in adoration of Violet Duke and maybe it is just ‘finding-the-right-author’ to read. Whatever may be the case; there is no denying the fact that Violet Duke is a brilliant writer of romance. She has tons of positivity that spills into her stories, her zeal and zest for life creates amazing love stories, her wicked sense of humor has her pages reeling in laughter, and there is no dearth of pain and hurt in her stories that makes her readers laugh, cry, and do crazy cartwheels with her narration.

FindingTheRightGirl-CantResist4

‘Finding The Right Girl’ (Can’t Resist Series, Book 4) is another of her love stories that gives Brian Sullivan his happily ever after. Brian Sullivan is one of the most admirable and fun-loving characters I’ve read so far. Having lost his wife early in life and his best friend to his brother in marriage, he still focuses on living life on his terms, and yet taking care of his daughter. Loyal, supportive and trusting is what Brian encompasses, and adding family values and his respect for people just makes him one of the most kind-hearted persons.

Wanting to have some fun, he hooks up with Tessa to have the fling of his life. Tessa matches Brian with her love for life and positive attitude and she is not immune to pain and loss either. But wanting to fling with Brian Sullivan is one of the most spontaneous things she has done, and boy does she wonder about her decision a hundred times. Their acquaintance turns into friendship into lovers and looks like Brian may have found the right girl to make a future. Then again nothing comes easy in life and we have to go through the bumps and speed-breakers that fate loves to throw at us, before it softens the ride…. for a lifetime…imperfectly perfect!

‘Finding The Right Girl’ is a beautiful, beautiful love story of second chances. It is a charismatic story that tests love and trust in trying times. It is a passionate love story of kind people, unconditional support and family values. And it is a wonderful read of people who are willing to give to others with open hearts!

I love these Big Sky Montana Mavericks…a lot!!!!! They are amazing, strong, courageous, tenacious and steeped in love and family.

Debra Salonen’s next installment of her Big Sky Mavericks Series, “Montana Maverick” is a story of unconditional love and support, the ever presence of a family steeped in family values and roots

Meg Zabrinski is a famous scientist, environmental advocate, especially wolves and a professor, and very independent. Level headed and with utmost love for her large family, she is a nurturer with a big heart and would love to help anyone. As her biological clock ticks, her one desire in life is to carry a child. Holed in cabin all alone on a sabbatical gives her a chance to put things in perspective and prioritize her life.

MotanaMaverick-BigSkyMavericks-DebraSalonen-Feb2015

Henry Firestone literally crashes into Meg’s life along with his four grandchildren. Young grandfather and with a secret crush on Meg, he wants nothing more than to have Meg in his life and take on his readymade family. Losing his only daughter and done having children of his own, his main goal is to get the custody of his grandchildren.

Former rivals and with secret crush on each other, Meg and Henry succumb to the sparks that turn into fire in the icy winter of Montana. Of all the mavericks of Debra Salonen, my favorites are Meg and Henry. It may be hard to believe that such people exist, but I know from personal experience, that the world has good people with big hearts as the size of Montana, always giving and never asking anything in return.

“Montana Maverick” is a beautiful love story of two middle age people, filled with so many of life’s questions, decisions to be made, a couple trying to find answers and finally getting their love and making a future. Henry and Meg along with the Zabrinski family make you feel humble with their abundance of love and support.

This is one must read story steeped with emotions, uncertainties and the importance of family and their solidarity.

A new author on the block with the writing skills of a pro, Breah Elise debuts with “An Executive Affair”, a relationship that starts off with professional antagonism, slips between the sheets, sizzling and scorching, and steps into the winter storm of fears and insecurities.

AnExecutiveAffair-BreahElise-Feb2015

Katie and Mitch are teamed to work on an architectural project that does not sit well with both. Katie thinks Mitch is arrogant, cocky, rude and condescending and Mitch just cannot stand Katie’s uptight, cold librarian attitude. Yet both cannot deny the first flare of attraction but both vehemently stay away from each other.

But with fate landing them right smack into the middle of a winter storm that forces them to stay together, that flare of attraction burns fierce than the fire in the hearth and they end up succumbing to the passion and lust. As the storm passes, and passion calms its ferocity, the dawn brings to light uncertainties and insecurities that Katie and Mitch never had a chance to discuss and put to rest.

Now it’s left to Mitch and Katie to give their executive affair a chance to survive and make it a long-term affair by working out their priorities and fears. Breah does a good job of creating Mitch and Katie with so many imperfections; it works out great for the storyline. They are headstrong, stubborn and just refuse plain refuse to listen to their hearts before biting off each other’s heads.

“An Executive Affair” takes you on a bumpy ride of love and pain, acceptance and forgiveness and accepting the imperfectly perfect life. It is captivating with lovable characters, good narration, and a sweet story line with a perfect ending.
