Win Me Over – Won Me Over!

“Win Me Over” is one of the most entertaining books I’ve read this year and Nicole Michaels is fast becoming one of my favorite to-go writers in recent history. An ex-pro player and football coach with a painful past and a positively, sassy dance coach cum bakery owner make for a combustible love story, and there’s no shortage of insecurities and hurt that these two have to endure to get their HEA, makes one heck of a story.

WinMeOver-NicoleMichaels-Nov2015

Football Coach Bennett Clark is more than a football coach – he is a mentor for his players and takes personal interest in their lives to keep them in line and out of trouble. He’s seen his dreams break into pieces and he wants to ensure his students are prepared for life’s surprises, both good and bad.

Callie Daniels is a self-made businesswoman, running a bakery and being a coach to the dance team at the local high school. Independent, kind and ever helpful she makes Bennett’s heart dance to her tunes and loses her heart in the process.

Nicole Michaels did a brilliant job of scripting emotions of love and pain, loss and gain, support and friendship of a couple wanting to dance to a HEA. With a good narration and a charming ensemble of characters, “Win Me Over” is a winner for me.

Christmas is the season of giving and cheer, it is the season of love and romance and it is the season of family, friends and miracles. And this the season that brings out utterly delicious love stories from some of my favorite writers…and heading that list for me is Melanie Shawn.

ChristmasWish-HopeFallsNovella-Dec2015

Their surprise release, “Christmas Wish” is just that – a delightful read of new relationships, new beginnings and a miracle that gives a mother and her disabled a daughter a fairy tale of a life.

Kyle Austen Reed is the typical handsome devil of a guy, a movie star with a big heart. And is all smitten with in-trouble-mother Aurora Rose. As goofy and hilarious Kyle was in the previous stories, he’s just too adorable not to fall in love.

Aurora Rose is just a firecracker of a mother, with the world falling apart, her entire focus is her daughter and her daughter’s happiness. Two individuals attracted to each other and throw in a daughter with an amazing talent for blogging and just making everyone around her laugh and fall in love with her positivity and courage.

A fairy tale of wishes coming true, of keeping that faith and hope for better things, of courage and miracles, of emotions and insecurities, “Christmas Wish” gives the readers a miracle of a read.

Irresistible, Endearing and Lovable!!!

This is one of he sweetest love stories I’ve read in recent times. Gorgeous and sexy fire chief meets the new citizen teacher of Montana…and all at once the meddling matchmakers has are busy making wedding plans!

SafeInHisArms-UnexpectedHeroes-MelodyAnne-Nov2015

Natalie Duncan moves to Montana for her first job as a teacher and is literally blown away by the winter magic of the town. Not used to the support and meddling of the charming people, Natalie finds herself falling in love with the town, its charm and the wonderful people living there. And the fire chief is busy keeping Natalie warm and toasted.

Hawk Winchester is the darling of the town and the perfect model citizen. Never one to say no to anyone, Hawk he can’t seem to resist the beauty of the new teacher in town nor can he resist rescuing her at every turn. Thrown together at every turn only makes his desire for Natalie getting stronger and he can’t wait to charm the pants off of her keep her beside him forever…safe in his arms.

Part of the anthology, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”, Melody Anne gives her readers a super sweet story in “Safe In His Arms”, published now separately. Natalie and Hawk are just two wonderful people with big hearts that deserve all the love they can get. And Melody Anne writes one of her best romances, the pro that she is.

Book 6 of her infamous “She Can Series” starts off with an explosion in Argentina and brings us to the US along with Christopher and his daughter Lucia. As an assassin and son-in-law of a powerful arms dealer, circumstances bring Cristan to the US to make a safe haven for his daughter and give her a normal life.

As we all know, the past always catches up with the present if there’s no closure and secrets tend to cause rifts between loved ones, Putting roots in Westbury, Pennsylvania may be the best for his daughter, but his past catches all his loved ones and friends in the crossfire of a lady bent on revenge. And Cristan Rojas would do anything to protect his family and the woman he has come to love in his present life.

SheCanKill-SheCanSeries#6-Dec2015

Sarah is trying to make a new life with her two young toddlers, after divorcing her abusive husband. Feelings for Cristan give her hope for a better future, and her love for his daughter only strengthens her faith that she may have a happy ending. But a demented ex-husband can’t seem to let go of her, and Cristan’s past may actually put Sarah in the path of danger and death.

“She Can Kill” has so much happening with enough suspense to last until the last page. I loved the ending of this story – there may be bad people in the world, but sometimes they do have a streak of humanity in them. Circumstances and family background may give them their identity, but what they choose to become as an adult is the choice they make.

Melinda Leigh has become one of the top suspense writers and has become on of my favorites to read. I love her attention to details as well as how well she connects the past and the present, bring together the chemistry of family and friends with unwritten support and help. Emotions in place, danger every minute, love trying to survive, Melinda blends a spectrum of death to love in a brilliant narration of “She Can Kill.”
