I love Delores Fossen and her simmering lawmen guarding under the big Texas sky. From one series to another she creates romance filled with danger and suspense, captivating and spell binding stories of love, support and families.

LoneWolfLawman-AppaloosaPassRanch1-DeloresFossen

The Appaloosa Pass Ranch Series kicks off with the “Lone Wolf Lawman”, as the Texas Ranger Weston Cade is drawn into the web of a serial killer. His search lands him in the home of his one night love Addie Crockett, and who’s DNA matches the serial killer.

Adopted and raised with love and a line of brothers who adore her, Addie Crockett lands in the crossfire of the killer who happens to be her father. Yet as the danger and bullets fly in galore, it looks like there is more than one killer and secrets that unravel may be the death of the good people. And Addie definitely is not going to risk her unborn child.

Interesting story, charming characters and a bountiful of suspense and danger, “Lone Wolf Lawman” is a racy start to another of Delores’s fascinating stories.

Christmas in Solitude, Oregon wakes up to the death of a young woman, dragging Sheriff Zane Duncan and his girlfriend/detective Stevie Taylor out into the cold winter of evil and secrets.

DeadInHerTracks-RogueWinterNovella2

Connecting from the death in the first Rogue Winter Novella, “Tracks Of Her Tears”, Zane and Stevie are thrown right into the path of a serial killer, who’s practicing his skill of killing until her gets to his ultimate goal Stevie. People are not what they seem to be and things are not what they are led to be believed. With drugs making its rounds in Solitude, Zane and Stevie have to put their best foot forward to keep Solitude safe.

Co-written by the author duo Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh, the Rogue Winter novellas are short and quick reads that keep the readers captivated and interested. I love the little details of humor and everyday life that Kendra injects into the gripping tale as we revisit Zane and Stevie. It’s nice to reconnect with some lovable characters as they try to live a normal life amidst evil and danger.

For the uninitiated or new readers, this series would be a great start to get to know two wonderful authors/writers. And you would be tempted to read the Rogue River Series where all the suspense, evil, death and romance started.

Once in a while it’s just utterly serene and delicious to read a romance without too much frills and shrills. A quite romance with just the hero and heroine, finding their way with each other, connecting with their thoughts and feelings, a few supportive friends and an uncomplicated family thrown into the mix, there’s nothing more romantic and enchanting than falling into a pure, simple love story.

SecretKiss-HopeFalls10-MelanieShawn-Jul2015

The duo sisters of Melanie and Shawna have been one of my all time top favorites and have read all their books; the Sloans being one of their most sizzling and charming creations to date. And the Hope Falls Series continues its journey of romance and entertainment with perfect kisses, secret crushes and happily-ever-after.

“Secret Kiss” is such charmer of a story and even more dazzling are Adam Dorsey and Jane Marshall. Ex-CIA and used to living a life of undercover and deceit, all Adam wants is to take it easy and put his nerdy brain to work on his software. But fate had a different plan and throws him into the path of his destiny, Jane Marshall. Lovable, innocent and ever helpful Jane crushes on Adam and circumstances makes Adam her boyfriend.

As Adam tries to put a closure to a thorny past, Jane infiltrates into his heart with no hope of escape. Acting as her boyfriend sparks the flames of desire and the proximity only ignites the passion both can’t resist. As lust heats the sheets, humor coats their days and family fuels their relationship, it is only a matter of time for love to build a nest in their hearts.

Full of humor and warmth, friendship and support, witty banter and family teasing, “Secret Kiss” is just perfect to heal a heart, bring a smile to the lips and fill us with hopes of goodness all around us.

Who can resist books titled ‘Devil In Denim’ or ‘Angel In Armani’ and for that matter ‘Lawless In Leather’!!!! Melanie Scott and her titles just conjure images of passion and danger, love and lust, sassy and kick-ass heroines and sexy and alpha heroes.

Book 3 in the New York Saint series throws the army veteran and bike rider Malachi Coulter into the path of Raina Easton, a burlesque club owner and now the dance choreographer of the Saints cheerleading team, Fallen Angels.

LawlessInLeather-MelanieScott

Running a security company and being the part owner of the New York Saints baseball team, Mal may have all the latest security gadgets to protect his business and team, but his heart never stood a chance when Raina comes into his life. She tests his control, simmers his lust, questions his protectiveness and in the process loses her heart.

And then danger turns paradise into a fighting zone as Raina and her angels fall prey to a crazy stalker. Raina is just adorable as the super sassy owner of a burlesque club and just perfect for the control freak Mal. Melanie Scott gives us some amazing and lovable supporting characters and it’s an absolute pleasure to re-visit Lucas and Sara, Maggie and Alex.

Another captivating and entreating love story, ‘Lawless In Leather’ leaves your heart with warmth, smiles galore and the pure pleasure of reading a wonderful story!

Naked Cowboys and Desiree Holt continue to sizzle and burn the pages!!!

Burnt out Dallas PD cop Charity Vance leaves a commendable career behind and moves to Saddle Wells to give her life a makeover. Away from the crime and away from the threat of a hardcore drug lord, Saddle Wells gives her the haven to remain safe, re-connect with friends and breathing room to think of her future. And that future seems to circle back to the hot and brooding war veteran and bar owner Liam Douglas.

NakedFlame-NakedCowboys-DesireeHold-May2015

Fate drops Charity literally into his bar and working tables to help him out and Liam Douglas absolutely has no idea how to restrain his cardinal feelings towards Charity. As she continues to put Liam at ease, Liam slowly starts smiling more and spending more time with Charity. Brooding he maybe, but he sure knows how to make his way into Charity’s heart.

As the threat of the drug lord reaches Saddle Wells, Liam goes all into protective mode, forgetting that Charity is a cop. Passion sizzles, control snaps, and when death comes knocking on the door, Liam would stop at nothing to protect Charity.

Short, charming and intense, “Naked Flame” is enthralling and captivating. I like the way Desiree Holt creates her characters – they are just the right combination of sexy and independent. Revisiting supporting characters is always a pleasure and the camaraderie among the characters is always fun to read.
