A great start to another awesome series by Marina Adair, “It Started With A Kiss” has all the ingredients to touch your heart with it’s emotional and wonderful set up in a rustic Sierra Nevada town, a town full of loving people, supporting and caring for each other in sickness and health. And a town that Avery Adams is dreaming of making it a home and fill it with adventures as fate gives her a second chance at life.

The world is a home for Tyson Donavon, as he lives his life rescuing people on the treacherous terrains and coming back home was never on his risky plan. But an ailing father and a failing family adventure’s lodge that is his father’s life, brings him home. What was supposed to be a short and temporary help seems to become more of a permanent fixture as fate throws Avery into his path.

The chemistry between Avery And Tyson is an amazing blend of charisma and love as they get to know each other, her patience and tenacity softens his heart, Tyson’s adventure for life gives Avery a chance to fulfill her bucket list, and slowly making a life together seems to be an adventure that these two are willing to risk.

Marina Adair is another of those wonderful writers who pays great attention to detail, keeping the narration emotional and poignant that makes you laugh, cry and scream as you are reading the story. Avery was just an amazing character and all kudos goes to Marina for creating a perfectly imperfect heroine.

Have you guys visited the little town of Chance, Nebraska, prone to tornados of the weather kind and so much more of the tempestuous kind? Definitely all twisted up and tangled up in the game of love and passion!

tangledup-takingchances2-erinnicholas

Book two of Erin Nicholas’s Taking Chances series, has Max Grady chasing the storm of his lifetime with Bree McDermott. Adrenaline junkies they may be, but Max is feeling the need to put roots and Bree is all tangled up in inexplicable feelings of passion, care, love and the big commitment of life.

“Tangled Up” is one of those books that had to be read every word to feel the emotions, taste the passion, understand the sublime dynamics of Chance, enjoy the witty dialogues and savor the wholesome love story that Erin Nicholas created with so much care, depth and detail, created in tangent with “Twisted Up”

And this is where her prowess as a writer, a master of imagination and the queen of plotting is seen firsthand. Max and Bree will warm themselves into our hearts as they work out their fears and insecurities between heating up the sheets and cooling off with ice cream!

Do not miss one single line of this love story with its depth of emotions, wealth of family and friends, bucketful of witty banter and topped with hot fudge and cherry of love!

With “Midnight Betrayal” we got a front row seat to the introduction of Dr. Louisa Hancock and her boyfriend Conor Sullivan, owner of a Philly sports bar along with his brothers. Just when both Louisa and Conor have put a traumatic past behind and have come together for a future, Louisa’s father Dr. Ward gets kidnapped by a delusional person living in the medieval mythology of warriors and deaths, and “Midnight Obsession” gives us an enthralling read

And just like that Conor and Louisa are drawn into an evil game of power and courage, gangs and deaths, warriors and age-old rituals. It also brings Conor and Louisa closer in their relationship as the events and circumstances give them an opportunity to build trust, honesty, protectiveness and support. As they try to decipher the ritual killings and hope to find Dr. Ward alive, neither Louisa nor Conor are far away from the shadow of death.

I loved the fact that “Midnight Obsession” can be read as a stand alone, yet it makes you want to read “Midnight Betrayal” and get to know Louisa and Conor. And this is by far Melinda’s best work. She did a brilliant job of weaving two plots with an outstanding conclusion and paying special attention developing the relationship between Louisa and Conor and bringing the family dynamics into the equation gave the story more depth and character. And throw in a touch of medieval history and rituals, giving the narration an added edge of primitiveness.

And as always, Melinda Leigh never lets on as to who might be the killer. Not until you reach the very last few pages and even then, she does an outstanding job on the final revelations, reiterating her writing and plotting authority.

But all is not what it seems as Seth and his Deputy are literally thrown off the road to death, and the killer disappears. As the search for the killer continues, secrets come to light and the fury of an obsessed fan crackles the quite town of Solitude. With a teenage girl caught in crossfire of her obsessed mother, his wife Carly Taylor steps in to protect her, putting herself in danger. With so many suspects lined up, and a celebrity’ secrets revealed for money, Seth has to race against time to save Carly as she sits on a ticking time bomb.

“Burned By Her Devotion” is the conclusion to the two part series Rogue Vows. Co-written by Kendra Elliot (Death By Her Devotion/Novella#1) and Melinda Leigh, here’s another chance to revisit Seth and his wife Carly, and the little town of Solitude where the original Rogue River Series started.

Brilliant at what she does best, writing romantic suspense keeping her readers enthralled, Melinda Leigh pens a thrilling conclusion for Seth and Carly.

For the uninitiated or new readers, this series would be a great start to get to know two wonderful authors/writers. And you would be tempted to read the Rogue River Series where all the suspense, evil, death and romance started.

Mary Kildare and Glen Fairchild may be “Not Quite Perfect” for each other but somehow they find themselves together to make a perfect future.

Therapist and a good friend, Mary Kildare has rolled with the punches that life had dealt her, and she has become a successful therapist and had made a life. Although the scars of abandonment and loneliness have taken permanent residence emotionally, she has come a long way in making friends and planting roots. Her quite and normal life takes the wings of a wild and passionate course when Glen Fairchild makes an appearance again.

Wealthy businessman, playboy and pilot Glen Fairchild believes in non-commitment and is always on the course of playing the field. Yet Mary is never far away from his thoughts and when circumstances bring him back to Mary, he acts on the opportunity that fate has given him and so the romance starts.

Catherine Bybee always throws in a surprise and I really didn’t see that spark of danger lurking in Mary’s backyard! And Glen becomes the protector, savior and confident as they try to overcome the threat that shadows Mary. With sassy dialogues and flirty actions, with kind and caring people, pages of warmth and support, and appearance of previous characters only adds more magic to this love story as Mary and Glen try to make the best of a bicoastal relationship.

I love the way Catherine Bybee gives importance to the depth of relationships and the maturity of nurturing them with patience and love. She created Glen and Mary to perfection with their goodness, kindness and just two beautiful people who deserve to be together. Attention to details, the sequence of narration and the practical plot add more flavor and warmth to this fifth book in the “Not Quite Series” making it a brilliant read.
