Anyone who’s read Samantha Chase’s last Montgomery book knows that we got a glimpse of Zach Montgomery and his life and his right hand lady Gabriella and her life within the Montgomery business. And let’s not forget the matchmaking uncles and their manipulative plans to push their kids in the right direction of love.

What can I say about Zach Montgomery? An athlete and a successful businessman on a constant run, he is virile, strong and never is dependent anyone. Living by his own rules and getting things much easy than most others, a mountain climbing accident leaves him numb, dependent and totally out of control. Never having to ask for help, the situation only makes him a grouch and uses his disability to push away his family and friends.

I'llBeThere-Montgomerys#6-SamanthaChase-Dec2015

Gabriella has been working long enough with Zach to know his every move and the torment he is going through. But she can be equally stubborn and tenacious to help Zach get his life back into control. Patience and love for Zach motivates her even further to war off the meanness that Zach seems to throw at her.

Samantha Chase does a brilliant job characterizing a strong man who goes through pain and helplessness, mental and physical torment, the long journey of recovery and the emotional upheaval he finds himself in. You want to help him, kill him, shake him and knock his head with a baseball bat to have him see and listen to some sense, but then that is the amazing writing of Chase.

Gabriella will want to make us cry and hug her at the same time, give her pep talks and tell her to find someone worthy of her, she makes us proud of her individuality and loyalty, hope and faith that things will get better. She is an amazingly strong and loving woman who values family and ethics, friendship and relationships, and never gives up on things or people that she cares for life.

And there you have it. “I’ll Be There” is another entertaining story of a Montgomery brother, who really has to work hard to get the love of his life, and gain back her trust to have a future with a promise to be there forever. And Samantha Chase sure has grown leaps and bounds with each story she’s been weaving and wowing her readers.

Savannah Stuart is one of the best writers of short novellas. She keeps the screenplay tight, the suspense close, danger on the edge and passion scorching as the fire. No matter how short her stories are she leaves not much room for missing key elements.

DangerousDeception-KatieReus-Nov2015

“Dangerous Deception” is just that. – a short story of evil and betrayal, passion and love. A fight to save herself from death and a mad killer, Sage Miller leaves a traumatic past and a one night of pure love and passion to make a new beginning. But then the past rears its ugly head along with her one nightstand, Trent Takoda.

Trent had been searching for Sage since the night they heated the sheets and the flames refuse to be doused even a bit. Finding Sage so close to home only increase his love for her and this ex-Navy SEAL is not letting a mad stalker take her away.

And as always her characters make an impact with their courage, integrity and chemistry that just makes us want more of them.

Another scorching, adrenaline pumping narration from Savannah Stuart, that is worth every penny!

Don’t get me wrong! I love Melody Anne and literally read almost all her books. Somehow “Following Her” just did not seem like Melody Anne and did not ping my heart unfortunately.

FollowingHer-UnexpectedHeroes-MelodyAnne-Sept2015

Part of her Unexpected Heroes Series, “Following Her” brings Ella Brooks under the protection of FBI Agent Axel Carlson. Coming into knowledge of some shady dealings of her ex-boyfriend/boss, Ella gets into the crossfire of a trial and threats to her life doesn’t seem to faze her. Yet Axel will do anything to protect her and with attraction flaring between a stubborn, independent woman and an equally tenacious and sexy guy, it seems that Axel would follow her to convince of their chemistry to forever.

Somehow I couldn’t connect with these two. Maybe because it’s a short novella and the characters needed more working. But all in all, it is an okay read, I mean this Melody Anne we are talking about and she writes some fabulous romances.

Now, I totally loved her new romance coming out on November 30, “Safe In His Arms”.

I like Julie Benson. I love her sweet stories of sexy cowboys and their humbleness. I love her sassy heroines and their determination. Her characters grow on you like aged wine that can become an addiction and I she has a great flair of putting all the ingredients of a flavorful love story in less pages!

ToLoveATexasCowboy-WishingTexas#1-JulieBenson-Oct2015

“To Love A Texas Cowboy” is the first in her new Wishing, Texas Series and sure is good start with fireworks going off between Cassie Reynolds and Ty Bennett. Brought together by tragic circumstances, pitted against each other with the welfare of a toddler, hurt and emotions riding their hearts with the loss of their family, Cassie and Ty have a lot more to deal with then just the best of raising a toddler.

Julie Benson does a brilliant job with Cassie and Ty. Leaving her NY artist career behind to give her 100% to raising her orphaned niece with absolutely no idea of raising a child, she deals with the situation with tenacity and determination. Not one to back down from a challenge, Cassie finds the positivity and hope in dire situations and makes the best of any desperate situation.

As the guardian of his best friend’s daughter, Ty has his job cut out what with fighting off his attraction to Cassie and make sure the child’s interests are well vested and secured. Julie Benson gives Ty an amazing persona of kindness, humbleness and attitude to counter Cassie.

“To Love A Texas Cowboy” is another great start to a new series, to immerse in the big-hearted cowboys of Texas and enjoy the super warmth of good people and their love stories.

Here’s another first read for me of Sophia Henry – “Delayed Penalty”, a Pilots Hockey Novel. It took me a bit longer than normal to finish it, not because it doesn’t hold your interest, but rather it kind starts of a little slow, but sure picks up pace.

DelayedPenalty-PilotsHockey#1-SophaHenry-Oct 2015

Auden Berezin is thankful for getting a gig as a Russian translator for one of the star players of the Pilots. Having lost her soccer scholarship to college funds, she latches on to this life saving temporary job to pay for her college education. She’s smart, intelligent and hardworking and wants to move out of her grandparent’s protective wings and put a painful past behind her.

Aleksandr Varenkov knows pain and scars that plague a person. Channeling his anger and desperation into his passion for hockey makes him a great player, yet his playboy image needs a makeover. As Auden works as his PR translator, he finds himself falling for her, with all her insecurities and pain.

Two people with painful pasts, two kindred souls brought together by fate to help each other heal, “Delayed Penalty” is a good one time read. Sophia Henry does a pretty good job giving Auden and Aleksandr strong personalities with human flaws. As much as the story is captivating, it was a tad bit longer and felt certain parts seemed drawn too long. Will I re-visit her? Maybe……
