I am not sure what I expected of Finn (Blue Collar Billionaires #2) by M. Malone, or maybe I had no expectations, or maybe it’s the sexy and beautiful specimen of a cover ;), whatever the case maybe Finn is quite the surprise package. Not too lengthy, but enough to pack a ton of emotions, pain and love to keep it interesting.

Finn-BlueCollorBillionaires2

Having come into millions that he never dreamed of, Finn Marshall is recuperating from serious war injuries and going through the pain of seeing his mother suffer from cancer. The war leaves too many scars and nightmares that had him finding solace in painkillers, and a past that haunts him with the betrayal of love that deserted him.

Marissa had made a few wrong choices in life like any normal person, yet she keeps a positive attitude and works hard to make her cleaning service company Maid-4-U successful. Getting a large contract to service a penthouse building is the silver lining her company needs to survive. But not knowing that her old flame Finn owns it and he’s hired her company for revenge is something that would blindside her.

Both have unresolved hurt between them that bites them in the back, even as they succumb to the lust and attraction that burns between them. Betrayal and trust are pricey and they have to believe in their love to put the past behind to even think of a future.

I really liked these two characters. Malone did a fabulous job with these two, as she created them with so many weaknesses, yet with courage to overcome pain and get help. Both with hearts of gold, and victims of circumstances, this story pulls you into their lives and their fight to keep their relationship working.

The storyline of these assorted brothers, with different mothers, as they try to come to grips with the reality of what their father had done, is very captivating. The sense of family and correcting the wrongs, as each brother try to reconcile with the existing circumstances, and finding their own happiness, is indeed intriguing.

A fine series by M. Malone…a definite winner!

Another first read on the list for me is Farrah Taylor’s “Dances With The Wolf” (Big Sky Love Series #2). Rodeo career’s got a very short life span and staying on top of the game is no easy task. Wolf Olsen is back on a break from the rodeo circuit, back to family and back to Abby Macready, the girl he left waiting for him to take her to prom.

DancesWithWolf-FarrahTaylor-BigSky-Mar2015

Leaving veterinarian college behind, Abby Macready is back home with her parents making a name for herself as a horse whisperer, her love of animals running very deep into her soul. As much as she understands animals, her understanding of the opposite sex sure is a puzzle for her. But then again her heart had always belonged to Wolf Olsen.

Abby has several questions unanswered and Wolf has answers to them that he’s not ready to give. But as they are thrown together with family gatherings and working with injured animals, the attraction that had sparked years ago burst into fierce passion that both cannot deny. Now all they have to do is put the questions of the past to rest and see if they can make a future with each other.

“Dances With Wolf” has a good story line going, though at times it was a tad bit too long. As much as I liked Wolf and Abby, there were times I felt the story was not moving at all. I definitely did not find it boring, yet it was not holding my interest hundred percent. I felt that there was too much of a monologue than action.

Given the chance, yes I would definitely read Farrah Taylor again. Considering that she is pretty fresh, I sure hope she only becomes another great writer as she progresses in her writing experience.

The Bachelor Auction in Marietta continues with the second book in the series, “Bachelor At Her Bidding” as Ryan Henderson, the Parisian chef and eligible bachelor goes up on stage to be auctioned for his culinary skills and giving the winner the most delectable and scrumptious dinner he ever laid on the table.

BachelorAtHerBidding-KateHardy-Mar2015

Rachel Cassidy moves back home to Marietta after a disastrous marriage and a painful divorce. Working as a family doctor, and trying to put her life back together, she ends up winning Ryan Henderson in the auction as a birthday gift, courtesy her sister and friends.

Ryan Henderson has a super busy life as a chef and taking care of his grandmother suffering from dementia. He does not have time for a relationship, yet when he meets Rachel to fulfill the auction win, he can’t control his attraction to the beautiful doctor. Rachel is still licking her wounds, and she is not ready to give her heart to the sexy chef. And both lose the fight against their feelings for each other and end up in a relationship.

But then the path of love is never easy and past pain and insecurities lead Ryan to a decision that takes Rachel away from his life. And by the time he realizes his stupidity, Rachel is hurt and keeps Ryan far away to keep put the pieces of her broken heart back together. And Ryan really needs to come with an outstanding and creative way to woo Rachel back into his life.

Another sweet and delicious story of the series, Kate Hardy is good with her narration and keeps the readers charmed and captivated. I loved Rachel, with her positivity and ability to be reasonable as the situation presents. Ryan is more emotional where family is concerned and has a hard time reconciling to things in life. Both characters make you fall in love with them and be frustrated with them.

Another short and mesmerizing story of love, friendship and support that leaves us with happiness and warm fuzziness.

As a reader (and reviewer), a good book for me is the one that pulls at my heartstrings, makes me shed a few tears, makes my heart heavy with the pain of the protagonists, pulls my lips into smiles and laughter at their wit and gives me goose bumps as I become a part of their passionate love story to a future. And as reader it is very rare for me to get captivated by a new author on my list, yet Laura Trentham does the very same with her “Slow And Steady Rush” (Falcon Football Series).

SlowAndSteadyRush-FalconFootball-LauraTrenthamMar2015

Darcy Wilde takes a sabbatical as a librarian, and comes home to Falcon to take care of her injured grandmother Ada. Independent and confident, witty and sassy, lovable and warm, coming back to Falcon brings back memories of a past that she desperately wants to forget; a past that puts her wayward mother out of her site and the turmoil that motivated her to become the successful woman of the present…. and right into the path of the new coach Robbie Dalton.

Making Falcon as a safe haven was important to Coach Dalton as making sure the young students of his football team stay out of trouble. Bounced around in foster care and making a life out of an abused childhood is something that puts Robbie on the edge and skeptical of forming relationships. Being an ex-ranger has channeled his anger into protecting his country, but being an orphan and the thirst for being loved by someone seems to be unquenchable.

But Darcy Wilde puts wild thoughts into his brain, and crack opens that heart he’s been guarding with his life. And what starts off as a fling, Darcy ends up losing her heart to the bruised Coach. Both Darcy and Robbie have plenty of pain and hurt to get past before they can make a future.

Laura Trentham, slowly but very steadily pulls her readers into this brilliant story of family and love, passion and lust, support and friendship. She’s done a fine job of making Darcy and Robbie as two individuals so right for each other. Supporting cast is amazing and she leaves no stone unturned to makes us shed a tear or two for the unconditional love that runs in the family and for the family and childhood lost.

A definite five star read for me and am looking forward to Logan finding his own happily ever after.

I’m really enjoying these short love stories of the “Bachelor Auction Series”, brought to readers by Tule Publishing and opening readers to a potpourri of enchanting authors. Centered around Marietta, Montana, the Bachelors Auction Series is a compilation of sexy billionaires and their happily-ever-after stories, warm and brimming with love and family support.

BoundToTheBachelor-SarahMayberry-Mar2015

“Bound To The Bachelor” starts off the series as the citizens of Marietta are having a bachelor auction to raise funds for the young Josh, injured in an accident; an auction that has sexy and elusive billionaires up for grabs. Lily Taylor, organizing the auction for her best friend and son, manipulates Beau Bennett, the successful business owner into being part of the auction.

Lily and Beau try to stay away from each other, ignoring the sparks that flare between them, every time they are in close proximity. Lily’s past as a stripper to survive when she is a teenager doesn’t sit well with some of the residents, but leaving that life behind and working in Marietta gives her some confidence and she is content with her life now.

Having feelings for his sister’s best friend is not on Beau’s agenda, yet he agrees to be part of the auction. And like a true gentleman, when Lily wins him in the auction, he goes out of his way to give her the best date of her life. And that date leads to them giving into feelings for each other and test the boundaries of their attraction and lust.

When a dangerous person from Lily’s past rears his ugly head, Beau goes all the way out to protect his love and make sure she stays right beside him…. forever.

“Bound To The Bachelor” is a short and fun read, but there is no dearth of passion and love, pain and hurt, insecurities and uncertainties that make this a really good read. Spunky and witty, Lily keeps Beau on his toes and readers loving her for her warmth and friendship as well. All alpha and arrogant, Beau gives Lily sleepless nights of dreams for a future she may never have, and leaves us readers wanting a person like Beau in our life, protective, charming and caring.

“Bound To The Bachelor” is a fun and warm story from Sarah Mayberry and hoping to read her more of her. She’s done a find job of creating this charming and enticing love story and keeps you happy. A definite five starry read for me!
