“One Night With The Cowboy” and I am totally enchanted!!! This is definitely one of those books that will leave you with so much warmth, love and fun!! Loved the bond between the brothers, their conversations, wit and wisecracks are enjoyable and the entire situation and story just leaves the palette satisfied, yet wanting more.

Book two of the Whiskey River Series is all about Trey Kelly, the eldest of the Kelly brothers, and the consequent books will tell us the stories of the other brothers, and of course looks like their intended partners may have come up in this book.

OneNightWithTheCowboy-WhiskeyRiver2-EveGaddy-Jun2015

Successful and millionaire in his own right, Trey Kelly gets the shock of his life when he realizes that his dead father has two more sons and they are forced to live together under one roof for a year per his will. And in the midst of this situation, Trey finds himself falling for the Lavender farm lady and chemist Ariana Wright.

Ariana Wright comes back home after an accident that scared her physically and emotionally. A successful chemist as well as a business owner running her own line of products, she’s become a recluse and now has to face off with Trey for a piece of land that is require for her business. Having a crush on Trey doesn’t help her situation and as they both give into their feelings for each other, her fears of disfigurement and insecurities hold Ariana back from making a commitment.

This is one of those off-hand books that is a super sweet surprise package of romance and family and I am so glad I read it. It was just plain enjoyable and wonderful! It’s just the way Eve Gaddy narrates the story and for a short novella, she did a fantastic job developing characters, including the brothers. Loved the get-to-know-the-brothers around the pool table and it was so very well placed and versed. Same with Ariana and Trey, as she created magic between them and the progress of their love story was just so charming and irresistible.

Eve Gaddy and the Kelly brothers sure made quite an impression with me, and have me hooked!! I am so looking forward to reading the other brothers’ downfall into love…and I guess the characters are already in play.

Here’s another charming diamond in the rough short novella by Catherine Mann.

“Pursued By The Rich Rancher”, single mother Nina Lowery is not sure if she is ready to be bowled over by the sexy and millionaire, Alex McNair. Her plate is full with taking care of her autistic son, who is her entire world and getting over a past of pain and fear. Coming to the McNair ranch means only thing to her and that is for her son to be a part of the camp for special needs children.

PursuedByTheRancher-DiamondsInRough-CMann-Jun2015

But Alex McNair falls head over heels in love with Nina, and pursues her relentlessly to gain her affection and love. Granted he is yet to tell her that his stake in the McNair estate rests in Nina’s and her son’s hands, and he may lose everything once his secret is exposed.

A really sweet and emotional story of a mother trying to give her son the best possible resources to overcome autism and lead as normal a life can be, and a warm and kind hearted millionaire wanting to give the lady he loves all the good things she deserves in life, and Catherine Mann does what she is best at – writing a charming love story that pleases the palette and keeps the romance in our hearts glowing.

I haven’t read the “On Dublin Street” series, but have a couple of them in my library to be read. So “Moonlight On Nightingale Way” is the first read for me. The beauty is that it can be read stand-alone and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe this is the last in the series. And Samantha Young did what she’s so good at, an engrossing and captivating love story for Logan and Grace.

MoonlightOnNoghtingaleWay-SamanthaYoung-Jun2015

Logan is trying to build back his life after a stint in prison, and Grace made sure she has miles of distance between her and her manipulative family. They end up as neighbors and the first sight and talk doesn’t go well between them. Yet there are sparks and instant chemistry. But the past brings a daughter into Logan’s life and turns it upside down and Grace unwittingly ends up in the equation.

“Moonlight On Nightingale Way” is a captivating read as Logan and Grace try to get past the shadows of the dark. It is a wonderful story of two people standing for what they believe in, that relations are necessarily not made through blood, but can be bond with a heart. With friends and siblings to support, and the promise of a future that can be made, Logan and Grace stand united as Grace finally stands up to her family and Logan becomes a caring and endearing father to his daughter.

Samantha Young weaves an emotional story of friendship and support, insecurities and fears, and the strength of love.

As a voracious reader, I thrive on simple, charming and mushy romances and I feed off of convoluted, crazy and evil mind gamed characters created by authors. Both require hard work, immense passion for their characters and getting into the minds of their characters to give them individuality and depth.

Spiralled-MasonAva3-June2015

Book 3 of the Callahan/McLane series, “Spiraled” literally takes the readers down a twisted path of a guy hell bent on creating havoc and targeting law personnel and on the other end of the spectrum, a mentally unstable sister makes Ava McLane wonder if she can ever be sane around her. And in all this mayhem, Detective Mason Callahan questions his stance beside Ava and is he prepared to put a ring on her finger?

As the OSO and FBI try to get to the bottom of mass shootings in public areas by young adults, Special FBI Agent Ava has her own demons to fight as her sister makes an appearance in her life. She questions her support for her sister, her love/hate relationship with her and the guilt she feels for dragging Mason into her spiraling life. And the question remains if Ava can survive the emotional upheaval of her sister, even as she struggles to keep death away from her.

“Spiraled” is just not about a demented guy wanting revenge; it is so much more about the progress of the relationship between Mason and Ava. They may face danger every day in their job, but their personal space is equally affected by their jobs. Kendra does an awesome job of showing the progress of their relationship from their first case to now. The trust and love, the companionship and support, the maturity and understanding of each other, is what makes them stand apart and be able to handle the fears and insecurities in their lives.

“Spiraled” is another of Kendra Elliot’s crowning glory, that keeps you guessing of the end game, and the narration of story and placement of situations is just apt and engrossing. And yes it can be read as a stand-alone, but you’ll be tempted to read how Ava and Mason met in the first place.

I’ve missed Hope Falls and it’s totally orgasmic to revisit it and the wonderful characters have made the Hope Falls Series memorable and unforgettable.

The sister duo of Melanie and Shawna take the readers back to Hope Falls, to Shelby Kellan and the sexy and private Levi Dorsey. Shelby is coming back home to the safety of her family and the support of her friends, to escape a traumatic and abusive breakup. Hiding the truth from family and wanting to recuperate emotionally as she decides her future, Hope Falls is the perfect safety net. Or so she thinks until she faces Levi and ends up working in his bar.

PerfectKiss-HopeFalls9-May2015

The quiet and private ex detective Levi Dorsey wants to keep his life that – quiet and private. And private with his thoughts of Shelby and the perfect kiss they had shared more than a year ago. A kiss that had ruined him for any other woman, and an attraction and lust that only Shelby can cure. And working together everyday puts him on the edge of a precipice!! And his love for Shelby would always have him keeping her under his protective embrace.

Another simple, charming and a perfect love story, with all its imperfections, Melanie Shawn weaves magic to my heart’s content with Shelby and Levi. The detective in him realizes the pain behind Shelby and yet gives her the space to trust him enough with her fears. As for Shelby, as educated and savvy she may be, it takes courage and immense strength for any woman to break away from domestic abuse. She needs support, love and the security of family and friends, to protect and help her mend and as that abused woman Shelby is just perfect.

Captivating and charming, sizzling and hot, emotional and intense, “Perfect Kiss” is simply a perfect love story that would appeal to the heart and leave a smile of pure happiness.
