As a recap, The Ultimate Series by Lori Foster is a brilliant compilation of a group of friends, protecting their neighborhood, engaging young kids to keep them out of trouble, creating a haven for troubled teenagers, and throwing muscle in the ring when called upon…and their stories, tryst with destiny continues as Stack Hannigan finds himself surrendering to the love of his life Vanity Baker.

Vanity has made a deal with “The Wolf” to a one night of passion between the sheets, a casual no strings friends with benefits fling, even as she knows for a fact that one night with Stack is just not enough for her. Stack has been tip toeing around Vanity since times long and he knows for a fact that sex with her would be out of this world, but little does he realize that he has now world without her.

A young woman having lost all in her life, trying to make a new life with a group of overprotective friends, facing loneliness with a zeal for life and yet grabbing the grateful moments with all positivity, Vanity Baker is just one of the most lovable people you would encounter. She makes tough love fun, attainable and utterly delicious and she just gives that much and more back to Stack. And Stack with his tainted past, yet honorable upbringing, protective and humble, is just the perfect match for Vanity, despite his temporary bullheadedness!

Since the time I’ve been reading Lori Foster, her innumerable and memorable books, I truly believe that Stack and Vanity are her best of the lot, at least in my humble readings! The teasing banter, the ease Vanity has with making friends, smart and loyal to the bone, kind and generous, Lori took time creating Vanity with care and depth. She made a great impression with giving writing space for Stack’s family and the building of the relationship between them and Vanity. I was so partial to Cannon’s story, but Stack comes a very close second.

Witty dialogues and teasing banter, trust and friendship on the line, romance and lust burning hearts, “Tough Love” sure tests the emotions and power of love…. and gives the readers an unforgettable love story.

Emotional “Ever After” Romance

I’ve been reading some really sweet and emotional love stories that cut right to the heart with their witty dialogues, intense passion, emotional past that molds the characters and an ending that sends tingles of happiness all the way to the tip of the toes!

Rachel Lacey’s third book, “Ever After” in her Love To Rescue Series is one of them that had me rooting for Olivia Bennett as she turns from spunky to caring to emotional to a lover with the hot and sexy soon to be detective Pete Sampson.

EverAfter-LoveToTheRescue3-RachelLacey-Aug2015

Spending her 29th birthday in jail was definitely not in the cards for Olivia Bennett but then falling into the hands of Pete Sampson wasn’t either, yet her stint in jail brings her closer to Pete Sampson, and Pete can’t seem to stay away from the naughty and sassy Olivia anymore than she can.

But with politics and outside forces keeping them in parallel lines, Pete gives himself to temptation and when Olivia’s life is in danger, he would definitely risk his career for his future. Olivia as the caring and animal activist is just too fab a woman not to fall in love with, and her adventures sure gives Pete sleepless nights. And Pete has his own nightmare of a history that keeps him wary of entanglements and relationships.

“Ever After” is an emotional read as Olivia tries to find herself in the big bad world. Rachel Lacey, amazing writer she is keeps the readers entertained with her humor and sass, she keeps us attached with her emotional narration and keeps us warm with the sizzling passion between Olivia and Pete. Simple story with enough forgiveness, charm and love to keep us readers glued to the last page…Ever After is a definite ever after love story.

The little town of Sweetwater Springs has seen its share of evil and death. Amidst the shadows, the series also saw the sage of the McKinnon family and Calder family coming together but on opposite ends of a murder that their mother is being put on trial. Relationships have gained, trust has been birthed and the murderer revealed along with secrets that have been buried for long.

This series ends with FBI Agent Seth Calder caught in the middle of the drama along with his family adversary, the annoying Shelby Braddock, the very daughter of the man murdered that put his mother on trial.

ALawman'sJustice-SweetWaterFinal-Aug2015

Shelby wants to get to the bottom of the murder that rocked her childhood and her nosing around puts her life in danger. Seth is hell bent on keeping Shelby alive for his own peace of mind and not to mention that he’s fallen for her hard. With bullets flying and secrets coming into light, both Seth and Calder have a battle on their hands to save themselves and that of their family members.

Sizzling with romance and pumping with danger, “A Lawman’s Justice” takes us to the conclusion of the series. Delores Fossen keeps the suspense going until the very end, keeping us enthralled and captivated. It is wonderful to re-visit the siblings as they all rally together to keep their family safe. With trust questioned, danger at every turn, and evil manipulating until the very end, the story keeps adrenaline going and heart beating fast.

Will miss this series for sure.

It’s truly amazing how the sister duo of Melanie and Shawna pen these magical stories in Hope Falls taking readers into a world of hope and love, family and friends, hot guys and sassy ladies, riding on sweet romance and sizzling passion. They are enchanting, mesmerizing and totally gooey to read!

The latest couple to fall into the magical web of togetherness is Ellen Locke and Logan Dorsey, succumbing to a love that has grown over the years and only became stronger with time. As a romance writer, a young widow and a mother to an amazing kid, Ellen has yet to write her own happily-ever-after. Logan’s heart belongs to Ellen from the moment he’s been keeping an eye on her and his godson, since the time his best friend has laid his life at war.

This is one of the most emotional and brilliant stories of the sisters I’ve read. Complexity of emotions in its simple narration, the daily grind of a mother in all her professional glory, the love of a guy whose heart beats with the breath of his beloved – they paid attention to minor details, to the small nuances of daily life, cracking jokes at writers/authors, it was like reading a love story of an amazing writer. I loved the attention they paid to the adulation of knowing a bestseller writer, and the reaction of the general public and their friends.

“Magic Kiss” is just a riot of fun, frolic and happiness and a gamut of emotions!
